You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 139 A Clear Objective

Elijah’s face uncontrollably cooled down, growing increasingly unpleasant. The surrounding air instantly chilled by a few degrees.

“Freya, do you think Ronan Vega likes you? Don’t forget, you’re a married woman, and we’ve been together…” Elijah’s words were cut off sharply by Freya.

“Elijah!” Freya’s voice was stern.

“What, can’t handle it?” Elijah reached out towards her. “Come with me now, and there’s still time.”

Freya chuckled in exasperation, “Elijah, I remember you said you wanted a divorce, and we did get the divorce certificate. Moreover, don’t you already have Elara Montague now? Aren’t you afraid she’ll be jealous if she sees you here? By the way, I heard you’ve given her your most precious things. Congratulations on finding someone you really like.”

“I just returned what belonged to its rightful owner.” Almost instinctively, he explained.

Freya raised an eyebrow, “So, your precious belongings were originally hers. Seems like you have quite a history with her.”

Elijah pursed his lips, unable to deny it.

After all, “she” had saved him when they were kids. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have arranged a job for her just because of Jack Silverton.

“My husband is coming to pick me up soon. You should leave.” Despite her tired appearance, Freya seemed genuinely happy with Elijah present.

Elijah extended his hand again, his tone intensifying, “Come with me.”

Freya unceremoniously slapped his hand away, “I’m getting married. I’m finding Ronan Vega. You find your Elara Montague. We mind our own business. Don’t provoke each other!”

“I want to provoke your business.” As he spoke, he stepped forward, circling Freya’s waist and pulling her tightly into his arms. He imprisoned her, greedily admiring her beautiful face. “Freya, do you have to marry?”

“Yes, I have to marry!” As she spoke, she turned her head, her curled eyelashes brushing against his cheek as she lightly fanned them twice. “If you’re here to congratulate me, welcome. If you’re here to humiliate me, please leave.”

“Mr Silverton!”

Ronan Vega entered the room in a well-tailored suit, a smile on his face. “Holding my bride like this is quite rude, isn’t it, Mr Silverton? A person of your stature should be cautious about gossip, don’t you think?”

Elijah did not release his tightening grip around Freya’s waist, his hand tightening even more. He leaned towards Freya’s ear, “Are you going to marry him?”

“Yes!” Freya forcefully pushed him away.

Elijah took a step back in embarrassment, seemingly calm, but suppressing his anger. “No regrets?”

Freya lifted her head, “No… no regrets.”

Even though it was forced, the thought of Elijah quickly getting involved with Elara Montague felt nauseating. If he could find another woman, why couldn’t she remarry? Although there was an element of defiance, it was not impulsive. She couldn’t stand Elijah and Elara Montague.

“Elijah, I will make you regret.” Freya calmly straightened the unruffled wedding dress.

Elijah, driven by his pride, refused to give in. “Regret? Me?”

“Yes.” Freya was decisive.

“Freya, are you dreaming? There are plenty of women out there.” After saying this, he turned and strode out. If one looked closely, the veins on his forehead were pulsating.

Clearly, he was not as calm as he appeared on the surface.

Freya did not feel happy about driving him away. She remained composed, her emotions inscrutable.

Ronan Vega, on the other hand, was quite pleased.

“It seems like you and Elijah have really fallen out,” he remarked.

Freya glanced at him, “Are you happy?”

Ronan Vega was honest, not hiding his satisfaction, “As long as Elijah is uncomfortable, I’m happy.”

Freya snorted, “Did you see that he’s unhappy with your own eyes? Right now, he’s basking in the joy of a new relationship. Unlike you…”

“Unlike me what?” Ronan Vega pressed.

“I was Elijah’s wife before. You’re now marrying someone he didn’t want. Do you feel like you’ve gained a bargain?” Freya raised an eyebrow.

“What kind of talk is that?” Ronan Vega frowned, “Do you realize you’re devaluing yourself with those words?”

Freya didn’t care. At this point, her own well-being was not important to her. As long as what she cared about was intact, that was enough.

“I know you did all this to show Elijah. Now that your purpose is achieved, can we end this wedding charade sooner? I agreed to marry you, but I won’t go through all the formalities as if it were a real marriage. I disagree with that.”

“Are we not really getting married? Where’s the falsehood? After the wedding, we’ll go get the marriage certificate.” Ronan Vega never thought of this as fake. He pursued Freya, and irritating Elijah was just a side benefit.

Ronan Vega didn’t dare to push Freya too hard, “The process is simple, it’ll be over soon. Is that okay with you?”

Freya looked at him without saying a word.

“Time is running out, let’s go.” Ronan Vega suggested.

Although they had a wedding, it wasn’t lively or joyous.

Ronan Vega was the only one happy.

“Fine.” Freya agreed. At this stage, there was no need for any more hesitation. Moreover, the sooner the wedding ended, the sooner she could see her child.

As Freya walked out, Elowen came down from upstairs. Originally, she was reluctant to see her daughter marry someone she didn’t like. But when she saw her daughter in a wedding dress, she couldn’t help but come down to see her.

“Freya.”

Freya turned and smiled at her, “Mom, today I’m getting married. You should be happy.”

How could Elowen Noir be happy?

Ronan Vega embraced Freya’s shoulders and said, “Aunt, I will treat Freya well.”

How could Elowen Noir believe him?

He had forcibly taken her daughter’s child, threatened and coerced her. His so-called kindness was forcing someone who didn’t like him to marry him. Furthermore, this was the second time he had taken Freya. No matter what Ronan Vega said, Elowen Noir would not believe his words.

Trying to lift Elowen’s spirits, Freya forced a smile, “You stay well at home.”

After saying this, she turned to Ronan Vega, “Let’s go.”

Ronan Vega leaned closer and whispered, “Trust me once.”

Freya pushed him away directly, “From the moment you took Kai away, you’re not worthy of my trust.”

Having said that, she walked towards the car. Ronan Vega looked at her back, his eyes deepening.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom, the main wedding car, had flowers attached to the front, making it look quite festive. For Freya, it looked like a wedding. But it seemed like it had nothing to do with her.

Ronan Vega got into the car and asked her, “Are you unhappy?”

“No.” Despite her verbal denial, Freya’s expression revealed her impatience.

“Today is our joyous day. Be happy.” Ronan Vega moved closer to her. Freya frowned, “Ronan Vega, I agreed to marry you, but you’re not allowed to think we’re a real couple.”

“Okay.” He didn’t move again.

He believed feelings could be cultivated. And he was quite confident. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

The car smoothly drove on the highway. Several heavy Hummers came towards them on the opposite lane with a clear target-directly crashing into their car. Despite being a luxury car, the Rolls-Royce had good safety features. The collision made a loud noise, and the front of the car dented, but the people inside were unharmed.

Several men from the Hummer got out and headed towards their car, opening the door to grab Freya.

“Who are you?” Ronan Vega stepped forward, shielding Freya.
