You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 140 Gossip

At this moment, Ronan Vega protecting Freya looked incredibly manly. However, despite his dignified appearance, he lacked any combat skills due to his perennial life of luxury. Moreover, the men intercepting the wedding car were all towering and robust, effortlessly pushing Ronan Vega aside with just a fraction of their strength.

They straightforwardly pulled Freya down from the wedding car.

“Who are you?” Freya clung tightly to the car door, refusing to get down.

“Who we are is none of your concern. Come with us quietly, and we won’t harm you. But if you resist too much, we won’t hesitate to get rough,” one man with an impassive face said.

Freya still refused to let go, as she had no idea who these people were.Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org

She hadn’t offended anyone!

Who had sent these people?

“What do you think you’re doing?” Ronan Vega, losing his temper, noted their non-violent approach. They clearly targeted Freya, disrupting the wedding for her.

“Who we are is none of your business.” One man held Ronan Vega back, saying to his companion, “Hurry up and take her away. Don’t waste time here.”

Freya was forcefully pulled out of the car and shoved into an Hummer.

Ronan Vega could only watch helplessly, feeling an increasing sense of urgency. Today was his big day, and someone was ruining it! However, these people were well-prepared. As soon as they captured Freya, they released Ronan Vega, drove away, and left.

“Go after them!” Ronan Vega roared in frustration. He was seething, unable to vent his anger, and they reacted quickly, but it was already too late. With the opponent’s preparation and intentional interception of his vehicle, all efforts were in vain.

The bride was missing at the wedding; Ronan Vega had no choice but to cancel the ceremony. This stirred up a wave of speculation and gossip among the attendees. Ronan Vega, no longer caring about public opinion, left the aftermath to his assistant and headed out with his subordinates to find Freya.

The abductors drove the car out of the city, leaving no trace. Ronan, unable to find her, sought Zane and asked if Freya had offended anyone.

Zane said no, but…

“But what?” Ronan Vega impatiently inquired.

“If someone wants to harm my sister, wouldn’t that be you?” Zane interrupted him.

“Although I asked her to marry me, I have never done anything to harm her.”

Ronan Vega was silenced before he could finish. Zane continued, “Forcing her to marry you is already a form of harm.”

Ronan Vega was once again speechless; he was unable to argue. Forcing someone who didn’t love him into marriage was indeed unethical. But now wasn’t the time to discuss this. Finding Freya was the top priority.

“You lost her, so it’s your responsibility to find her yourself,” Zane, seemingly indifferent, focused on the tasks Freya entrusted to him.

Ronan Vega knew he had asked the wrong person and left, grumbling, “Although you have different mothers, she is still your sister. Now that she’s been abducted, you don’t seem to care at all. Are you worthy of being her family?”

Zane directly refuted, “She almost became your wife. If you can’t keep her safe, should I ask you for her now that she’s missing?”

Depressed, Ronan turned and left the house in a huff.

Zane Stone, however, was relentless, “You’re the one who lost my sister. You must bring her back safe and sound. If anything happens to her, I’ll make sure you pay for it.”

Ronan genuinely didn’t intend to harm her this time; he just wanted her to marry him. Moreover, he had hired a nanny specifically to take care of her son.

“You don’t need to threaten me, I will do my best.” Ronan took large strides and walked away.

After he left, Zane’s face revealed a worried expression. It wasn’t that he didn’t care about Freya; he was just puzzled. In his understanding, Freya was very clever and methodical in everything she did.

Could this be her plan?

She disappeared after leaving the house, perhaps not wanting to involve him and Elowen Noir.

Were the abductors her own arrangement?

And her agreement of marrying Ronan Vega was just a pretense?

The more Zane Stone thought about it, the more he believed this might be the case.

Leaving Freya’s place, Ronan Vega sat in the car, lost in thought, trying hard ti figure out who could have abducted Freya.

Just when he couldn’t figure it out, Elijah’s name popped into his mind.

His eyes widened. Could it be him?

“Definitely him!” Ronan slapped his thigh. Why hadn’t he thought of it sooner?

Apart from Elijah, who else had such influence that they could leave no trace? Who else had both the intention and capability?

After realizing this, he immediately started the car and drove to Headence Group to demand Freya’s release from Elijah.

Half an hour later, his car stopped outside the Headence Group building. He rushed in, pushing the front desk aside directly. Taking the elevator upstairs, he strode to Elijah’s office door and forcefully pushed it open.

“Elijah!”

Ronan Vega called out his name, rushing to his desk. “Release Freya!”

Elijah raised an eyebrow. “Isn’t she your bride? Why are you asking me for her? Did you get drunk from your own wedding wine, or did you get drunk from yours and Elara Montague’s matchmaking?”

“Don’t play dumb with me! I know Freya was captured by you. No one else would do this!” Ronan Vega erupted in anger.

“Do you have any evidence?” Elijah calmly asked.

Ronan Vega was instantly speechless. He indeed had no evidence; it was all speculation.

“You have no evidence.” Elijah stood up and said to his secretary, “Call security and escort Mr Vega ‘out.'”

Ronan Vega’s face turned livid, looking utterly unsightly. “Elijah, you’re despicable!”

Elijah cast a disdainful glance at him, not taking him seriously.

Soon, the company’s security arrived.

Ronan Vega gritted his teeth and, in another’s territory, had no choice but to bow his head. “I will find evidence, and you’ll be responsible for this. I’m sure she was captured by you.”

After saying this, he pushed aside the security blocking his path. “I’ll walk out by myself.”

He almost vented out all his frustration with foul language.

As he left, Xander was just about to enter. Ronan sneered at him and grunted. Xander paid him no mind, indifferent to his disdain. After all, a snide remark wouldn’t cost him anything. He still had things to do.

After everyone left, Xander closed the door and approached Elijah. “Everything is taken care of.”

“I know,” Elijah replied.

Xander hesitated for a moment before asking, “Mr Silverton, I don’t quite understand. What exactly do you mean by all this?”

If Elijah didn’t care about Freya and had already moved on to Elara Montague, why rush into this marriage?

“So, you do care about Miss Stone, but you’re just angry about the last time she drugged you and tried to set you up with Elara Montague, right?” Xander couldn’t resist the gossip brewing in his heart.
