He sighed deeply and carried her in his arms ignoring her tantrums. He carried her upstairs to her room and placed her on the bed.

“Next time, you should watch where you are heading, stop being clumsy” he said and she rolled her eyes.

“You should rest and not come to the company, I would go see the client myself,” he said in the calmest and sweetest tone ever. Hannah became silent as she didn’t say a word.

He stared at her waiting for her to say something, probably anything but she didn’t.

He then decided to leave but just as he was about to leave, Hannah called him, making him pause.

“Brandon” she called and he turned to her.

“How are you feeling? Does your stomach hurt? Where did you sleep last night? I came to check on you in your study room last night but you weren’t there” Hannah said and he glanced at her for a few seconds before he finally spoke.

“I’m okay, at least I’m better than last night,” he said, ignoring the other questions she asked.

“I’ll be on my way now,” he said and then walked out of the room. The moment he stepped out of the room, a smile crept onto his lips.

The fact that she tried looking for him last night means she cares, she just doesn’t want to accept what she feels.

He wasn’t going to give up on her or the love he had for her and he believes one day she would probably admit what she feels, he thought as he walked out of the house and went to his car.

He entered the car, ignited the engine, and zoomed off.

The moment he walked out of the room Hannah stood up from the bed and walked inside the bathroom, took her bath, and walked out.

After which, she got dressed for work, walked out of the house, hopped in her car, and zoomed off to the company.

Meanwhile, Hannah who had just got to the company walked inside her office and began work immediately.

A board meeting was held by Brandon and he was surprised to see Hannah come to the company.

He had told her to rest and she still came, this woman is so stubborn, he thought.

After the board meeting was over, Hannah went to her office and continued her work when suddenly the door opened revealing Brandon.

“What do you want?” She asked as she raised her head and saw him staring at her.

“I thought I asked you to rest at home? Why are you here?” He asked

“Nothing, I’m fine. I just need to finish some work” she said and he hummed. Just then Brandon heard his phone ring, he stared at the caller’s ID and with that he walked out of the office.

After Hannah was done doing her work for the day, she checked her time and saw it was time for her to go pick up the kids from school.

She took her bag and with that, she walked out of the company.

Meanwhile, The octuplets are seen sitting outside the school compound with David sitting beside them.

They had been discussing and playing while laughing out loud. David was so happy, whenever he was with the octuplets, he forgot how he’d been treated at home, instead, he felt so happy and felt like they were all family.

Just then a black car came to a stop in the school compound and Rosa alighted the car.

The moment they saw Rosa walking towards them, they all went silent.

“Bye David” they waved at David who was now looking sad, now he was going back to the lonely house where he didn’t feel loved by his father and where he was all alone, he wished he had another sibling to play with, he thought.

“Hey kids, how are you?” Rosa smiled at the octuplets and they stared at her surprised and waved at her in return.

This was the first time in history Rosa had seen them and said hi them. Before if she had seen them, she would frown but now she was smiling at them.

Just then another car came to a stop in front of the school compound and it was Hannah who alighted the car.

“Mommy,” the kids called and rushed towards Hannah and hugged her.

“Oh sweethearts, how was school today?” She asked with a smile on her face.

Just then she heard a familiar voice spoke, she raised her head and saw Rosa staring at her.

“Hey” Rosa muttered calmly with a small smile on her face and Hannah stared at her wondering if she had seen a ghost or something and why the hell was Rosa talking to her.

“Hi, ma’am,” David said and Hannah looked away from Rosa and turned to David.

“Oh sweetheart, how are you?” He asked and David smiled as he felt his heart leap in joy.

“I’m fine ma’am,” he said and smiled as he remembered last night, how Hannah had put him to sleep. He had wanted to thank her but he didn’t say a word as he didn’t want his grandma to know about it.

“David, go wait for me in the car, I would love to speak with Mrs Colby alone,” Rosa said and David nodded in response.

Hannah then turned to her kids and beckoned for them to wait in the car, which they did obediently.

She then turned to Rosa, waiting for her to speak.

“Hannah, I don’t know where to start.

I know we didn’t start on good terms, I know I did a lot of bad things to you in the past, I…. I wanted to apologize for everything…..” she said as she paused waiting for Hannah’s response.

“You are kidding, right? Apologize for everything after you killed my children and almost killed me? You must be crazy to think I will even forgive you” she said and with that, she walked away leaving her standing alone.

She hopped inside her car and drove off.
