Chapter 204

It was morning and Hannah had woken up so early so she could get the kids ready for school and go to the company.

She took her bath and did her normal morning routine before going downstairs to prepare breakfast. After she was done, she went to her kid’s room.

Woke them up and helped them get dressed for school. After which they went downstairs for breakfast.

After breakfast, Hannah asked the chauffeur to drop them off at school and promised to come pick them up herself when it was closing time.

She stood outside and waved them as the chauffeur drove up.

She walked back inside the house and walked towards the dining table. She needed to finish her cup of coffee before going upstairs to get dressed for work.

She took a sip from her coffee and then turned when she heard someone climbing down the stairs. She thought it was Brandon but when she saw it was Jessica she sighed.

“Hey,” she muttered as Jessica walked towards her and sat on the chair.

“Hey,” she said calmly in response.

“How are you? We haven’t got the chance to speak alone. How are you coping with everything?” Hannah asked with a concerned look on her face and Jessica smiled.

“I’m okay, At least I’m going to be fine,” Jessica said and Hannah nodded. They both went silent for a few seconds and then Hannah finally spoke, breaking the silence between them.

“I understand how you feel Jessica, I do. My father abandoned me and my mother when I was little, so trust me when I say I understand how you feel. With time you will heal and you will be fine” Hannah said and she smiled.

“I’m not sure I will heal, the pain will always be there, I just have to learn to live with it,” she said and they both sighed.

Just then Brandon is seen climbing down the stairs all dressed up for work. He looked better than last night.

He walked towards the dining table and then asked the maid to make him coffee.

“Hey” Jessica muttered

“Hey,” he said in response and then turned to Hannah who was staring at him but the moment their eyes came in contact they both looked away from each other.

Hannah felt guilty from last night and didn’t know what to say or how to start up a conversation with him.

She wondered if he was angry at her, they both kept stealing glances at each other as there was lots of tension between them.

Jessica on the other hand had noticed the way they were both acting, she wondered what was wrong with the both of them.

“I dropped a file here yesterday. Who took it?” Brandon asked, staring at both Hannah and Jessica.

“I didn’t see any file,” Jessica said and Brandon turned to Hannah, who bit her inner lips and looked away from him.

“I took it last night,” she said and swallowed into nothing as she felt her heartbeat increase at once.

“I was about giving it to you, go through what is in it, review and sign and you would be meeting up with a client today at noon and another client by 7 pm and another by 9pm. Everything you need to know is in the file,” he said and Hannah opened her eyes wide in shock and stood up.

“What? That’s too much for me, I need to pick the kids up from school” Hannah said and Brandon sighed.

“I will go pick them up myself,” he said and Hannah gritted her teeth.

“They want me to pick them up from school” Banana said

“I’m sure they would be so happy to see me pick them up from school,” Brandon said and was about to leave when Hannah, who was furious, turned to him swiftly and yelled his name.

“Brandon” she yelled and he turned to her.

“You’re gonna do all of that and I will go pick the kids up from school,” Hannah said and just then Arianna was seen climbing down the Stairs.

“What is going on here?” Arianna asked as she walked towards Brandon and Hannah who were staring at each other with a weird expression on their faces without saying a word.

Arianna turned to Jessica and gave her the look of what was going on.

“I don’t know, I think they both slept on the wrong side of the bed.

Brandon, you love her and she loves you…..” Jessica speech was cut off by Hannah.

“No, I……”

“Don’t you dare say a word” Brandon said, cutting off Hannah’s speech knowing fully well she was about to say she didn’t love him.

“You know what, the both of you should just kiss, hug, go in your room have sex, and make up and stop this silly argument, ” Jessica said and then smiled and moved towards Hannah and Brandon and pushed the two of them together and walked away.

“Silly couples” Arianna laughed and walked inside the kitchen leaving the both of them alone.

“What are you staring at?” She asked and was about to walk away when she missed her leg and slipped.

Just as she was about to fall, Brandon moved toward her in a rush and caught her, preventing her from falling to the ground.

Their eyes came in contact and they stared at each other for a few seconds.

Brandon, who was almost lost in her beautiful eyes, had wanted to kiss her but she quickly pulled away and stood up at once.

“Why would you touch me?” She asked as she frowned.

“What? I just saved your life, I saved you from falling on the ground” Brandon said as he stared at the woman who was angry over nothing.

“I never asked you to save my life or help me, don’t you dare touch me again,” she said and then turned to leave when she slipped again and this time she fell on the ground thereby hitting her butt on the ground.

“Ouch” she cried in pain and Brandon rushed towards her with a concerned look on his face.

“Are you alright? Are you hurt?” He asked

“Don’t touch me, why didn’t you hold me from falling? It’s your fault” She said and Brandon stared at him with a confused expression on his face.

Isn’t this the woman who just told me not to touch her or save her and now she’s blaming me, what does she really want? he thought and then sighed deeply.
