Sebastian had probably come looking for Layla because of how similar Millie and Layla’s techniques were. After all, Millie had grown up under Layla’s influence.

Layla was confused. What female students?

She never took any students regardless of their gender. The only student she wanted was Millie, but her granddaughter seemed determined not to learn medicine.

It was something that really angered her.

“Sebastian, have you forgotten that I don’t take students?” Layla asked with a stern expression.

Sebastian paused. He finally remembered that important detail.

“Then…” Sebastian looked up. He couldn’t help but look at Millie.

“Hi, Mr. Sebastian,” Millie said with a smile. She finally got the chance to say hello.

Sebastian looked at Millie properly. She seemed shockingly similar to the young lady who had helped

him.

Could she have been Millie?

Even though the public looked down on Millie as trash when it came to medical skills, he knew she was not someone to be underestimated.

However, Millie’s voice was different from that young lady’s, who sounded rougher and deeper.

With that thought in mind, Sebastian took the needles in her pocket out and passed them to Layla Professor, do you happen to know who these belong to?”

Layla picked them up and looked at them.

Millie began to look at them too. Her expression was full of confusion.

Sebastian secretly studied her expression, but he noticed that she didn’t look shocked or as if she recognized those needles at all. His hope began to waver.

Perhaps it wasn’t Millie who helped him earlier today

Layla jolted in surprise. “These are…”

Layla’s shock caused Sebastian to ask anxiously, “Professor, do you know who those belong to?”

She laughed breezily. “These belong to the miracle doctor! They’re extremely mysterious. I don’t know who they could be.”

Sebastian felt a little disappointed after listening to that answer.

It looked like it wasn’t Millie after all. If it was Millie, it would have been hard for the Caldwells not to

know about her skills.

What a subtle miracle doctor! She left after doing a good deed and disappeared so thoroughly that he

hadn’t been able to find her.

If he could, he wanted to have a good chat with her about medicine. He was sure it would be an enjoyable conversation.

“Professor, it’s getting late. I won’t bother you any longer, Sebastian said as he got up.

Since it wasn’t anyone from the Caldwell family, one of his leads had met a dead end.

“It’s no bother. Mills is about to go report for duty at the hospital soon, so please look after her,” Layla suddenly said.

“Don’t worry, Professor. You rarely ask me for help, so I’ll be sure to help you settle everything accordingly now that I have the honor of helping you,” Sebastian said seriously.

“Okay. See you next time,” Layla said with a wave of her hand. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Sebastian nodded and hurriedly left.

Arthur yawned and mumbled, “How weird. Why did he come all the way here looking for some miracle

doctor?”

Only Layla gradually turned her gaze on Millie with the needles in hand.

Why did he come all the way to the Caldwells?

Well, she had to ask her beloved granddaughter about that!

The moment Millie turned around, she noticed Layla staring right at her. She couldn’t help but feel a little guilty and smiled abashedly at Layla before making a run for it.

Three days later, Julia was finishing her oatmeal at the dining table and said to Millie, “I’ll go to the hospital with you to get those bandages changed. Hopefully, they won’t scar. That wouldn’t be very easy to get rid of.”

Millie shook her head as she wiped her mouth and said, “It’s okay, Mom. Simon is going with me.”

“Oh, I see. That’s good. I trust him around you,” Julia said as she nodded with a smile.

The doorbell rang.

Millie quickly stood up and said, “I’ll be going to the hospital with Simon to get my bandages changed. After that, I’ll report for duty at the cardiology department.”

“Great!” Layla was the happiest of them all. She rarely smiled, but she was bearing like a sunflower that morning.

Although Millie felt helpless, it was good that at least her grandmother was happy.

Millie jogged to the door and opened the door happily. She was about to speak, but her expression froze the moment she saw the person in the doorway

What was he doing here?
