“That’s okay. I can go on my own,” Millie said, turning Simon down.
“I think I should go with you. See you!” Simon didn’t give Millie the chance to turn him down a second time and hung up.
Millie helplessly put her phone back down and realized Winston was still holding onto her.

Millie chuckled. “I already loved the most evil guy in the world. Why would I worry about Simon?”

Winston couldn’t help but feel frustrated at the sight of her retreating figure.
She was acting really unreasonable.
At that very second, his phone rang. It was Eli. “Mr. Greer, the president of Spring Corporation asked us to give them another 3% or the deal is off.
“I did some research and found out that the president of Spring Corporation met with Simon Harrison, the president of Harrison Corporation. They’re in talks of collaborating.”
It was Simon?
Why was Simon everywhere?
Winston frowned and suppressed his frustration. Still, his anger leaked into his voice as he said, “Go back to the company and schedule a video conference with him. We’ll re–negotiate our terms!”
“Yes, sir,” Ell said. He paused before asking, “Mr. Greer, did Mrs. Greer like the present you chose?”
Winston fell silent. Eli really knew how to put his foot in his mouth.
At Winston’s silence, Eli carefully asked, “Y–You did give her the gift, right?”
Before he could ask anything else, he heard the phone beeping.
Winston’s silence was better than any answer he could have given.

Millie had just reached home when she heard her butler say, “Good evening, Mr. Lloyd!”

Had he guessed that it was her who helped him with his cramps earlier that day?

Sebastian spotted Millie and frowned, looking at her closely.
Layla and Arthur both hurriedly went downstairs when they heard Sebastian was visiting.
“I’m sorry for intruding so late, Terrence,” Sebastian said, sounding helpless.
He couldn’t shake the feeling that the young lady who had cured him that day reminded him of Layla,
The needle also had the initial “M” on it. He suspected it could be Millie, or perhaps another one of Layla’s students.
He desperately wanted to know who had cured him earlier that day.
“Professor! I’m sorry to bother you so late,” Sebastian said respectfully at the sight of Layla.
Layla was a really talented doctor. Everybody in the medical field knew to respect her.
If Layla could give him a couple of tips, he would never regret studying medicine. In fact, he could die the next day with no regrets.
Millie couldn’t help but marvel at how respectful Sebastian was being toward Layla. It really was different to have power in today’s society.
Sebastian was already an extremely skilled doctor, but he was still so respectful toward Layla.
Sebastian didn’t beat around the bush. He immediately brought up his reason for visiting. “Professor, do you happen to have a slim, petite, young female student?”
As expected of Sebastian. His cheervation skills were truly impressive.
