Chapter 1311 One Pair

Darren's heart skipped a beat. The effect of the Archean mountain was more than what he had

imagined.

"Okay, I'll leave with my friends right away. Take care, sir."

The real body of Finley had cleared away all of Darren's doubts. He was grateful for that.

"Bring this to my avatar and ask him to take it,"

Finley's real body said, handing Darren a black pill.

Darren returned to where Finley and Lindsay were.

The two of them were sitting on the ground with their legs crossed, and both of them were in the

process of cultivation. They woke up from their trance when they felt Darren return.

"Darren, where have you been?" Lindsay asked angrily as she walked towards him.

"You want to drive me away again?" Lindsay put her hands on her hips. "I consider you my friend, but

you want me to stay away?"

"Don't say that. If you really are my friend, why don't you tell me what you want me to do? I'll take it as

a signal that you just want to use me," Darren said, his face grim.

"Y-y-you...!" Lindsay pointed at Darren, her face red.

"What? Either you speak, or I go. We should part ways now," Darren said.

"Ha!" She turned around and walked toward Finley.

"Finley, help me. Darren is such a bad guy. He bullies me and drives me away." She grabbed Finley's

shoulder and shook him.

Darren laughed. How could Finley speak for her?

"Darren, it's your fault," Finley said, standing up. "Lindsay is so kind to us. How could you treat her this

way? What's more is she is a girl. It's dangerous for her to be alone."

Darren's face darkened. He was wondering if she knew Finley's secrets or was blackmailing him. Why

didn't Finley defend him?

"That's right. Finley is a good man." She leaned her head on Finley's shoulder.

This stunned Darren.

"Alright, alright." Darren wore a strange expression on his face. "You would rather lean on his shoulder

than tell me the truth. What a sacrifice. That's really surprising."

"What are you talking about?" Finley raised his head and threw his arm around Lindsay's shoulder,

holding her close to him. "I'm a handsome man. We are born to be together. What's so surprising?"

"Ha!" Darren burst into laughter.

"Forget it. You don't have to act anymore, Lindsay," Darren said, rolling his eyes.

"Are you kidding me? She is my girlfriend!" Finley stated proudly.

Darren looked at Lindsay. In the past, she would have smacked Finley in the face. Instead, her lips

were curled into a shy smile.

"Don't be so excited. You are only in the probation period, okay?" Lindsay blushed, her cheeks turning

rosy pink.

Darren was dumbfounded.

"Ha!" Seeing Darren's confusing expression, Finley smiled smugly. "Jealous?"

"Is it true about your relationship?" Darren asked seriously.

"Of course," Finley said. Lindsay also nodded.

"Okay! Well, then. Tell me what happened while I was away!

I see. You are a jerk. Did you use an aphrodisiac? Some sort of love potion? Tell me the truth!" Darren

sneered.

"Oh my God!"

Both of them smacked Darren hard and cursed at him.

"I surrender!" Darren raised his hands in the air and sighed. "Well, clearly I am no match for the two of

you together. You've got me cornered! I concede."

It wasn't that Darren couldn't defeat the two of them. He felt immense joy for Finley and wanted to

express that to him.

They smiled at each other.

A few days later, the three of them flew out of the area.

"I wonder how Lord Akbar and Master Murphy are doing..." said Lindsay, tears forming in the corners of

her eyes.

"Some of the greatest warriors of the human race have all gone there. I hope they will be able to

rescue them," Darren said gently.

"By the way, take this."

Darren took the black pill out of his pocket and handed it over to Finley.

"What? What is this? Are you trying to poison me?" Finley asked.

Darren rolled his eyes at him. "Don't be an idiot," he said.

"Let me see." Lindsay took the pill and studied it in her palm.

"There's nothing special about it. Darren, where did you get this? What's it for?" Lindsay asked

curiously.

"Why, it's an aphrodisiac, of course! I'm just helping the two of you," Darren said with a smile.

"Fuck off!" She struck Darren with her palm.
