Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 604

Chapter 604

He was not even good at lying. It was a stupid mistake. Yoel stared at his phone battery, indicating over eighty percent charge, and felt an urge to weep. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

Why did he not have the exquisite photo editing skills of Ms. Yates? If he had, he would immediately doctor a screenshot and

send it.

“Actually, I was worried Moe would see the messages you were sending me. At that time, I was with Moe. If I were constantly replying to messages or answering calls, he might guess that it was you I was talking to,” Yoel confessed, half in truth and half in jest.

That was acie reason.

However, the most important reason was that he simply did not want to deal with his boss, a reason he could never utter.

“I don’t care what your reasons were. I want all of Matthew’s information within three days.” Joshua’s voice came from the other side of the phone.

Yoel agreed, “Okay.”

After Joshua hung up, he continued soaking in the cold bath.

The next morning, Cynthia prepared brealdast and was surprised to find that Joshua had not yet risen. Usually, he was an early riser. This was the first time he had slept in this late

“Joshua, it’s time for breakfast.”

“Joshua”

She called out twice, but there was no response from within. Cynthia frowned, announcing her entry before opening the door. Upon seeing Joshua still fast asleep, she approached to wake him and touched his arm in the process.

The touch made her heart jump. He was having a fever! She immediately placed her hand on his forehead and confirmed that

he had a fever.

The first thing that crossed her mind was his two previous high fevers and severe injuries that had left him in his current state.

“Joshua” Cynthia called out, trying to wake him.

Joshua was in a daze, his breaths hot and labored. Seeing the person by the bedside with eyes full of worry, he felt relieved. It seemed the cold bath from the previous night had served its purpose.

“Cynthia..”

“Get up. We need to go to the hospital. You’re running a fever,” Cynthia said, truly scared. If Joshua’s fever damaged his brain again, she would never forgive herself for letting down the Neal family.

“No. I don’t want to go to the hospital.” Joshua shook his head, wincing as the pain radiated through his skull.

Despite the disconfort of the fever, the body aches, and the feeling that his head would explode at the slightest movement, nothing else mattered as long as Cynthia was by his side. He was absolutely not going to let the guy next door steal her away.

“You’re running a high fever. If you don’t go, there might be consequences,” Cynthia tried to persuade him.

However, no matter what she said, Joshua refused to go.

Left with no other options, Cynthia gave him some fever–reducing medicine from the first–aid kit. Once that was done, she called their family ductor, explained Joshua’s condition, and requested a house visit.

The doctor would take approximately half an hour to arrive, During that time, she measured Joshua’s temperature: 39 degrees Celsius. She was worried about his condition worsening and continually attempted physical cooling

“Cynthia, I feel awful…” Joshua looked at her with a pitiful expression.

Cynthia comforted him while she tried to lower his temperature. “Just hold on a little longer. The doctor will be here soon.”
