Chapter 314 I Have Nothing but You
Pat hadn’t expected that Mrs. Calsis would disagree with him. He asked with confusion, “Mom, you don’t like her, do you? Why do you object to my suggestion?”
Mrs. Clasis answered, “You know, the kids like her very much. They just listen to her.”
“That’s also one of the reasons why she should leave. If she continues living here, the kids will be stickier to her. Now they are young and naïve. It’s the time to depart them from her.” Pat placed great importance on educating kids. He didn’t think it a good decision to give Rose a stepmother, so he remained single all these years and raised Rose by himself.
Charlie claimed, “The relationship between Theresa and me is my own business. Just leave it to me, please. Pat, no matter what you are going to do with her, remember to notify me, okay?”
Pat was puzzled. “So you want to defend her? Charlie, what’s so good in her?”
“It’s none of your business.”
“No, you look so inexperienced,” Pat said sternly. “I think she has made fool of you already. What a manipulative
woman.”
Charlie ignored Pat and insisted on his opinion. “Please remember what I said.”
Pat gave in and nodded. “Okay.” Although he was reluctant to do as Charlie said, he had no other choice but to agree with him. After all, Charlie allowed Rose’s return. It was kind of a trade based on their friendship.
On the way to school, Theresa bought some snacks for her kids.
Standing in front of her, Ben asked worriedly, “Mom, are you unhappy?”
Looking at Ben, Theresa asked, “If I don’t want to live in the Calsis any longer and leave there, are you willing to follow me?”
“Of course we are,” said Ben. “We will always be with you.” Although he and Leonard found the Calsis interesting. Theresa was the most important to them. So if Theresa didn’t want them to live there, they would never argue to stay.
Theresa smiled at them. “I have nothing but you two.” It was hard for her to trust others and only her kids would always stay by her side. She was clear that no matter what she did, the kids would admire and respect her the
most.
“Oops,” said Ben. “Are we going to be late?”
Theresa check her watched and said, “Yes, let’s go.” She led her kids out of a store and drove them to the kindergarten. After that, she went back to the Camerons to see her father.
Johnson was having his breakfast. Because he got beaten yesterday, his face was a bit swollen.
Theresa walked over and sat beside him. “Dad.”
After sipping some coffee, he looked at her. “Why do you come back? I have told you that I am okay.” He knew that she was worried about his injury.
She answered, “I just want to have a talk with you.”
Johnson had no idea that the trouble-makers were hired by Pat and he just considered them some villains. Besides, the police also told him that those who had been fired by him took that revenge on him. This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
