After listening to Dr. Watson, Yanis nodded, "Okay."
Dr. Watson prepared the paperwork and handed it to Yanis, saying, "Go to the payment counter on the
first floor, and then head to the third floor for the examination. The results might not be ready until
tomorrow morning. I'll get them for you, and I'll give you a call when they're available. You can come by
then?"
Yanis replied, "Okay, thank you, Dr. Watson."
Dr. Watson smiled, "No need to thank me. It's my duty. Now, go ahead and get your examination."
Yanis hummed in acknowledgement and left the consultation room.
She first went for a breast ultrasound before proceeding to have her blood drawn for testing.
The results of the tests would be available tomorrow morning at nine.
Yanis directly showed Dr. Watson the breast ultrasound report.
After examining it, Dr. Watson said, "There doesn't seem to be any issues with this, but if we wait for
your period to come naturally, it might take a while. After the blood test results come out tomorrow, I'll
prescribe some medication for you."
"Okay."
Yanis chatted with Dr. Watson for a while before finally leaving.
Since Dr. Watson had other patients to attend to, Yanis sat in the waiting area outside, waiting for
Bonnie.
It took forty minutes for Bonnie to complete all her tests.
"Finished already?" Yanis looked up at Bonnie as she emerged from the examination area.
Bonnie nodded, "All done. Everything looks normal. We just need to come back for the regular check-
up next time."
After speaking, Bonnie looked at Yanis and asked, "What about you? What did Dr. Watson say? Does
your situation have anything to do with your previous miscarriage?"
Bonnie responded, "I had the tests done, but we have to wait for the results tomorrow to know for
sure."
"Blood tests?"
Yanis nodded, "Dr. Watson said she'll take care of it tomorrow and give me a call to come in."
"Alright then. Let me inform Dr. Watson, and we can head back," Bonnie whispered.
"Okay, I won't go inside. There are other patients in there, and I don't want them to think we're cutting in
line."
Bonnie smiled, "Just wait here for me. I'll be back soon."
"Sure, take your time. No rush."
When Bonnie entered Dr. Watson's office, Yanis sat back down on the nearby chair.
Just as Yanis sat down, Zane called her.
Yanis answered the phone, "Zane?" From NôvelDrama.Org.
"Shall I come pick you up tonight?"
Yanis was about to decline, but considering her promise to Alfie, she responded, "Sure, I'm currently at
the hospital accompanying Bonnie for her check-up. I'll be back soon. Can you come around 5 o'clock
to pick me up?"
Zane replied, "Alright, dinner outside?"
"Bring Bonnie along."
"You arrange it."
They exchanged a few more words before hanging up.
Right after Yanis ended the call, Bonnie came out of Dr. Watson's room. "Yanis, let's go back."
Yanis stood up and asked, "What did Dr. Watson say?"
"Similar to what she told the nurse, there's nothing wrong. However, she advised me to eat less fruit
because of the high sugar content," Bonnie whispered.
"Then you should cut back on fruit."
Bonnie nodded, "Let's go."
"By the way, Zane called just now, suggesting dinner outside tonight. Will you join us?" Yanis asked
Bonnie while they walked.
Bonnie shook her head, "Forget it. You two can have dinner together. Why should I tag along? Besides,
I have plans tonight."
"Plans? With whom? Haider?"
Bonnie shook her head, "Not Haider. It's Lawyer Phillips."
"Lane?"
Bonnie hummed in agreement, "He has been in Manchester City recently, so he often calls me."
"Bonnie, Lane, is he...?"
"Stop!" Bonnie interrupted Yanis before she could finish her sentence. "Don't think too much, really,
don't. I know what you mean, but right now, I don't want to think about anything. All I want is for the
baby to be born safely, grow up healthy, and for us to be with him throughout his life. That would make
me happy."
"Are you thinking that far ahead? The child will have his own life, and you should also consider
yourself," Yanis advised.
Bonnie hooked her arm around Yanis's. "Let's talk about the future later. After all, plans can't keep up
with changes. What if one day I fall head over heels for a handsome guy? Love at first sight, and we
end up getting married on the third encounter. Who knows?"
Hearing Bonnie's words, Yanis decided not to persuade her further.
When they returned to the shop, Yanis had two customers waiting, so she became busy again.
Bonnie comfortably sat on a recliner and chatted with Linda, gesturing and discussing something.
They continued like this until evening when things quieted down.
"Sister Yanis!"
As soon as Yanis finished attending to a customer and returned to the shop, Alfie approached her.
Yanis looked at Alfie and asked, "What's wrong?"
"When will Uncle Lawrence come? I'm about to leave!" Alfie whispered.
Before Yanis could respond, she glanced outside upon hearing a car sound. "He's here."
Alfie glanced outside and whispered, "Sister Yanis, stay here. Don't come out. I want to have a good
chat with him!"
After saying that, Alfie quickly walked towards Zane's car.
Yanis watched as Zane got out of the car and was stopped by Alfie.
Not knowing what Alfie said, Zane glanced at Yanis.
Yanis smiled at Zane, signaling him to have a good conversation with Alfie.
Bonnie came out from the side. "What is Alfie up to? He acts as if he's plotting something of national
importance."
"He said he wants to talk to Zane," Yanis turned and tidied up while responding to Bonnie.
"He wants to talk to Mr. Lawrence? About what? Is that kid audacious enough to try and compete with
Mr. Lawrence for you?"
Yanis replied, "Without fighting, how can we know the outcome? How can we know who will emerge
victorious?"
Bonnie clicked her tongue. "That Alfie has quite the spirit!"
After Bonnie's remark, Wendy happened to come out from inside. "What spirit?"
