#Chapter 859: I'll Stick Around Until the End!
Bonnie spoke first, "I never expected things to turn out like this."
After saying that, Bonnie looked at Nancy and asked, "What are your plans now? Did you two get
married officially?"
Nancy nodded, "We got married not long after we got together."
Yanis looked at Nancy and asked, "What about the child? Are you planning to keep him?"
Nancy pondered for a moment and replied, "No, I'll stick around until the end, no matter what!"
Nancy understood her situation. Getting pregnant was challenging for her, and even if she found
someone else in the future, she would still face the same issue.
So Nancy had already made up her mind. After she was discharged from the hospital, she would leave
Andrew with the child. She might even secretly leave Manchester City and never come back.
"He probably won't make it easy for you to stick around, right?" Yanis whispered.
Based on yesterday and today's events, Yanis didn't think Andrew was a soft-hearted person. If Nancy
confronted him directly, she wouldn't end up in a good situation, and her fate could be quite miserable.
After hearing Yanis's words, Nancy fell silent for a moment before speaking softly, "I'll find a way to
leave Manchester City and make sure he can't find me."
Bonnie asked, "What about your family? Will he go after them?"
After all, Ahmed was an example of someone who didn't hesitate to threaten Fukuma, not even sparing
family members.
"He wouldn't dare go after my parents. He's always been afraid of them. But I know that if things get
really bad, he's capable of anything. So when I go back, I'll discuss with my parents and we'll leave this
place together," Nancy explained.
Yanis remained silent for a few seconds and said softly, "If you need any help, just let us know. There
are some things we can assist you with."
Although they had been on opposite sides with Neve and Nancy before, after going through so much
together, they could be considered friends now.
So when a friend was in trouble, they should lend a hand.
After hearing Yanis's words, Nancy smiled and said, "Thank you, Yanis."
Yanis shook her head. "You should rest well for now. I'll accompany Bonnie to her check-up."
Nancy nodded, "Go ahead. My parents will be here soon."
Upon hearing Nancy's words, Yanis and Bonnie left with a sense of relief.
"I never expected things to turn out like this," Bonnie said, sighing, once they entered the elevator.
Yanis sighed as well, "I didn't expect it either. But since they accepted that Nancy can't conceive
naturally and they have their own child, why is he acting this way?"
After hearing Yanis's words, Bonnie analyzed in a low voice, "Either he found someone new outside, or
he doesn't want to spend more money on in vitro fertilization. It's probably one of these two."
"What if he simply doesn't love her anymore?" Yanis asked.
Upon hearing Yanis's question, Bonnie burst into laughter, "You sure say daring things, huh? Love
these days, how much is it worth? Do you think everyone is like you and Zane? Genuine love like yours
is almost extinct."
Yanis couldn't find any words to refute Bonnie's argument and even thought she made sense.
"Do you think what I said makes sense?" Bonnie looked Yanis in the eye and nodded.
Bonnie linked her arm with Yanis's and they walked out of the elevator together. "Everyone has their
own fate. This is
Nancy's fate, and we can't change it. The only person who can change her destiny is herself."
"When did you become a philosopher of life?" Yanis teased.
Bonnie laughed, "Right now."
Yanis couldn't help but sigh again when she thought about Nancy's situation, "Life is full of changes,
and no one knows what will happen next."
Bonnie continued, "That's why we must cherish the present!"
Yanis nodded, "Yes, Bonnie is right. We must cherish the present!"
Bonnie couldn't help but laugh.
"Miss Cooke, are you in such a good mood today?" a familiar voice came from behind just as they
reached the entrance of the department.
Bonnie and Yanis turned around to see who was speaking. "Dr. Watson," Bonnie said.
Dr. Watson nodded, "I thought you would come later, but you're here early."
Dr. Watson looked at the two of them and said, "Come on, let's go in. I've already registered you, and
you're the first ones."
The two followed Dr. Watson into the office.
"Feel free to sit," Dr. Watson said as Bonnie and Yanis took their seats across from his desk.
Dr. Watson proceeded with routine prenatal check-ups for Bonnie, saying, "For these tests, you'll have
to go to the functional room outside. Just give them this list, and they'll guide you there."
Dr. Watson handed the list to Bonnie, who took it and replied, "Okay."
After Bonnie responded, she looked at Yanis and said, "Yanis, I spoke to Dr. Watson earlier. Why don't
you ask him to do an examination for you later and see what the situation is?"
Yanis glanced at Bonnie and nodded, "Okay."
Once Yanis agreed, she looked at Bonnie and asked, "Can you go by yourself? Or should I accompany
you?"
"Miss Thompson, you don't need to worry. There are dedicated nurses outside who will accompany her
and stay with her throughout the process. They won't leave until she completes the tests," Dr. Watson
reassured. Owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
Upon hearing this, Yanis relaxed and said, "Okay, you go then."
After Bonnie left, Yanis turned to Dr. Watson and whispered, "Dr. Watson, you should be aware of my
situation, right?"
Dr. Watson nodded, "Miss Cooke has informed me about your situation. Is your menstrual cycle
currently regular? Any delays or changes?"
Yanis responded, "It was normal before, but recently there have been some delays. Sometimes it's
delayed by two or three days. But isn't that within the normal range?"
Dr. Watson agreed, "Yes, it's considered normal to have a one-week delay or advance."
After saying this, Dr. Watson asked Yanis, "When was your last period?"
"On the 6th of last month," Yanis replied.
Dr. Watson calculated and said, "So it has been nearly ten days since your last period?"
Yanis nodded, "Yes, it hasn't come yet, and I've already tested for it."
Upon hearing Yanis's words, Dr. Watson wrote a blood test referral for her. "First, you'll have a blood
test to check, and then I'll have them do a detailed blood examination to see if any other indicators are
abnormal. If everything is normal, we'll continue investigating. If there are any issues, we'll start with
some adjustments. It could be that certain data indicators are disrupted, which can cause a delay in
your menstrual cycle."
