Chapter 41: Pregnant
Chapter 41: Pregnant
At noon the next day, in the middle of the sports ground of JC University, many students stopped to
watch; they were quite curious and talked a lot about what they were seeing.
Under the scorching sun, three slender figures stood in a line holding signs in their hands.
The words "I'm a piece of shit" were written in large letters on the signs.
These three people were Anne, Mia and Susan. Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
Passing students all looked at them in different ways; some were surprised and shocked, while some
laughed at them with their mouths covered.
"Aren't these Felicity’s roommates?"
"Felicity James? Isn’t she Jason Reed's girlfriend? I heard that Lucas was completely destroyed by
Jason because he offended Felicity."
"Shit, really? Did they too offend Felicity? "
The three of them could hear the students' comments one after another.
But they stood there expressionlessly, as if they were willing to bear it all quietly.
The strange scene in the sports ground quickly attracted the teacher's attention.
The teachers passed through onlookers and crowded around the three.
"What are you doing? Don't make a scene, put down the signs quickly and leave!”
The teachers could not bear to see them make a joke out of themselves in broad daylight, being a
disgrace to the university’s reputation. Do they want to ruin the reputation and be on the news for it?
"Leave us alone, Professor."
Anne acted very indifferently, still holding the sign high.
"Why are you doing this?"
The teachers really didn't understand how the students’ minds worked? How could they just be the
cause of their own humiliation?
"It's just performance art."
The three of them insisted.
In the end, the teachers sighed helplessly, too lazy to care about them anymore; they left the three girls
alone.
Anne and the other two felt very helpless. Even though they were sweating, they couldn’t dare to relax.
In fact, after Jason and Felicity left last night, they were all too scared and worried that this might cause
trouble to their families, so they informed their families.
Their parents were also frightened when they learned about it.
The parents of the three girls met together in the evening immediately after finding out what happened.
In the end, they decided among themselves that what Jason asked their children to do was as good as
they could get.
Even if their children were to lose their respect in the campus and humiliated, it was still better than
angering Jason Reed!
In desperation, the three of them could only comply and carry out the shameful task.
Although, Anne and the two others were extremely angry, at the same time, their inner fear had
reached the extreme.
Even if they didn’t want to do it, they had to.
This feeling of powerlessness almost broke them down.
The scene at the campus ground was very eye-catching; Felicity was also looking at them from a
distance.
Looking at the miserable appearance of the three girls, Felicity’s face showed no emotions.
She just looked at them for a moment and then quickly left with her luggage.
She asked for leave from the company today and went back to school to clean up her bed and take her
luggage.
In order stay away from trouble in the future, Felicity was planning to pack up her things and rent a
place to live outside the campus, far away from this messed up place.
After all, Jason’s identity had also been exposed, and she will only cause more trouble if she stays
there any longer.
…
The Reed Group Building.
Garrett was brewing tea for Jason. He said, "Boss, Madam came here this morning."
Hearing this, Jason frowned silently.
He did not ask why his mother came to the office that early in the morning, because he could guess it.
She must have come to urge him for marriage!
After making tea, Garrett handed the cup to Jason.
After taking two sips, Jason asked, "Is there anything else besides this?"
"Miss Sullivan also called a few times, but you always leave the phone with me, and I did not dare to
answer."
Looked like Garrett also had some problems!
"Just ignore it."
Jason was also tired of dealing with it.
It was such an unimportant matter; there was no issue if Garrett does not answer the call.
The so-called Miss Sullivan that Garrett mentioned was Amanda Sullivan, the eldest daughter of the
wealthy Sullivan family.
The Sullivan family was also a powerful family. Although it was not as high in status as the Reed family,
it was also powerful and had a strong background.
Therefore, Jason's mother was determined to foster the marriage between Jason and Amanda at any
cost.
After all, Jason was at the age of marriage.
Although Jason didn't feel anything about Amanda, he was only worried about his grandfather. Some
time ago, something preposterous had happened…
His grandfather had pretended to be seriously ill and told Jason that he didn’t have much time; he had
asked Jason to find a woman and have a child, and that he wanted to see Jason’s child before he died.
At this moment, however, Jason couldn't help but think of Felicity.
This girl was amusing; she didn’t even know how to face him after knowing his real identity…
In these two days, Felicity had not contacted Jason at all.
On the one hand, she had no suitable excuse to contact him. On the other hand, Felicity couldn’t
believe that her boyfriend was Jason Reed…
She still suspected that the reason why Jason admitted their relationship publicly was only for the sake
of handling the situation; only in name.
Or maybe, Jason just did it for fun.
But really though?
How much of his intention was driven by actual emotions?
Perhaps there was not even a little bit of real emotion behind this relationship.
This thought made Felicity feel particularly bitter.
After all, they were very different people. How could she be Jason's girlfriend?
The distress tangled in Felicity's heart, lead her to work with a very muddled and absent mind,
decreasing her efficiency a lot.
But unfortunately, just around that time, George gave a big design project to Felicity.
Felicity originally wanted to decline, saying that she was still no better than an intern, and her capability
was not enough to match actual professional designers.
But George insisted on it and even promised Felicity that Riley Kim would help her personally with the
project.
In desperation, Felicity had no choice but to agree. She put great effort in putting her and Jason’s
relationship aside and began to focus on her work.
She thought that Jason would not look for her again.
After finding a new place to live, her life seemed to have started over; it felt like a new beginning.
All was well until Felicity realized that her period was two weeks late.
Felicity was very nervous; her period had never been late before.
Anyway, being the weekend, Felicity decided to go to the pharmacy to buy an at-home pregnancy test
to check.
She felt embarrassed and didn’t want to go to the hospital before she knew it for sure.
…
"Please be negative, please be negative..."
Felicity prayed silently with her eyes closed tightly.
However, her prayer went unheard.
According to the test strip, Felicity was indeed pregnant.
Felicity panicked horribly seeing the results.
What kind of bad luck did she have? Just one time… and she got pregnant?
Felicity’s heart crumbled.
At that moment, Hannah called her.
Felicity didn't want to answer, but knowing better she picked up the call.
"What do you want?"
Felicity's voice was obviously impatient.
"My dear Felice! Don’t you think you owe your family an explanation about why you ran off on your
wedding?"
Felicity was speechless; she managed to say coldly, "How about this? Because you all forced me to
marry!"
Hannah, however, laughed in a strange way.
"Do you really not worry at all about your mother?”
