Devoted Love, Mr. Hayes’ Darling Wife

Chapter 1007: With Mr. Nico, I play for real.

Micaela took a deep breath as she arrived at the Ferry Bar and went to the door of the private room Campoverde had given her.

Raising her hand, she knocked on the door.

Inside the private room, Mateo shouted at the door as he played his cards, “Is this a cocktail delivery? Come in yourself.”

The door, with a click, was pushed open by Micaela.

Matthew was facing the door and when he looked up and saw Micaela, his eyes froze for a moment, but his gaze immediately brightened and he quipped, “It’s not the delivery boy, is it, who ordered the pretty girl?”

Rabago Rolan gave him an expressionless look, “You ordered her, didn’t you?”.

Matthew scoffed, “You really misunderstood me, I didn’t order her.”

Besides, I hadn’t seen any of the girls in the bar with that elegance.

Nico sat motionless, not moving, holding his last three cards in his hand, a boy and a pair of tens.

The big ghost was still there, unplayed.

Not a good day for cards.

Micaela, with her long, slender white legs, approached Nico without looking away.

The rest of the trio looked at Nico with pumpkin eyes.

Mateo grimaced again and looked at Nico with meaningful eyes, “After all, he is Nico’s man.”

Rabago Rolan crushed the cards in his hand on the table and said, “Are we still playing this card?”.

Micaela hadn’t looked at Nico since he walked in the door, she just said, “Yeah, I’m going to win this game, so why not.”

Nico threw down a pair of tens and Adam Rouco threw down a pair of kings, and no one was big enough to pass.

Adam Rouco threw another single seven.

Mateo frowned, “Adam, you’re playing for it, Nico only has one card left and you don’t play a pair.”

Adam Rouco addressed his cards directly to Mateo: “I have no pair left”.

Mateo had a deuce, he overcame it and Rabago Rolan had no ghosts in the house.

Nico a gram boy through and won.

Micaela stood in front of Nico, unintentionally, her gaze slightly downcast, watching Nico’s long, bony fingers as he shuffled the cards on the table, and said, “Mr. Nico, I have something to tell you, can you give me ten minutes and we’ll talk?”

Nico remained silent, still shuffling his cards.

Matthew’s eyes darted back and forth, intrigued, over Nico and the girl next to him.

Matthew teased, “Nico, you’re willing to keep such a pretty girl waiting.”

Nico said playfully, “Then you know that the prettier a woman is, the more poisonous she is, and the more you can’t touch her.”

“If you die under the peony, you’ll be a ghost, you know that?”.

In front of Micaela, the flirting was going back and forth, but Micaela did not change her face, her pretty and stunning face always kept a slight smile, patiently staying by Nico’s side, continuing to wait.

When Nico was playing poker, he had the habit of touching a cigarette. When he reached out to touch a cigarette from the box and put it between his fingers, Micaela would already rush to grab the lighter next to him, flick it, light the flame and send it up.

Her movements were incomparably deft, not at all timid.

It was clear she was doing what street girls do, but there was nothing dusty or low in her movements or her temperament.

Mateo’s eyes shifted as he looked at Micaela, finding these two increasingly interesting.

After passing the fire to Nico, Micaela was in no hurry to negotiate with him and stood aside, waiting patiently.

After about half an hour, Adam Rouco pushed the cards in his hand into the pile, stood up and tugged at his tie, saying, “I’m tired of playing, so that’s it for today. ”

“Where are we, are you in a hurry to get a girl?”.

Adam Rouco picked up the suit jacket hanging on the back of his chair and pushed it aside with a gesture, his voice was nonchalantly mocking, “Come on, you’re not as lucky as Nico, go back to the office and do the hard work.”

Rabago Rolan: “You tell me if I have room left in the office to work for a few hundred billion a year”.

Adam Rouco, holding his suit jacket in one hand, pats Nico on the shoulder as he walks past him, leans in slightly and jokes in his ear, “You’re very lucky, be careful not to break your back.”

Nico raises an eyebrow, “You’ve been using your kidney too long, be careful not to lose it.”

Adam Rouco leaves the room with long legs, “Don’t worry, I have a personal doctor.”

Inside the booth, Mateo sees that the atmosphere is not right and pulls Rabago Rolan aside saying, “Go on, we’re going next door to play pool for a while while you guys play.”

They all left.

In the private room only Nico and Micaela remained.

Nico stubbed out his cigarette in the glass ashtray and, under the white smoke, narrowed his dark eyes slightly, not looking at Micaela, just asking, “You’re very skilled at lighting cigarettes, have you ever done it before?”

The tone of his voice was unmistakable, salty and indifferent.

Micaela answered: “The first time. Since it was about Mr. Nico, I didn’t dare to neglect him, so I was very careful and respectful.”

Nico curved his lips and smiled softly, “You are very good at making people happy.”

Micaela said bluntly, “If you want to negotiate with Mr. Nico, making Mr. Nico happy is the most basic thing to do.”

Nico reached out, grabbed Micaela’s wrist and pulled her into his arms.

Micaela’s legs and feet were already numb from standing still in her heels for so long, and when Nico pulled her so hard, she naturally fell into his lap.

Nico’s large hands took hold of her soft, slender waist, very slender, slimmer than any woman he had ever held in his hands.

But this woman, where there should be flesh, was anything but, that night she had experienced it.

The man’s dark eyes stared at her and asked rhetorically, “You mean you wouldn’t find her attractive at all if it weren’t for the benefits?”

Micaela smiled slightly, touched, “Someone like me isn’t even in the same league as Mr. Nico, how would I dare mess with Mr. Nico if it wasn’t for the benefits.”

Full marks for the response.

But how it sounded so uncomfortable to Nico’s ears.

“How dare you? You dare even threaten me, what else wouldn’t you dare.”

He was referring to his threat to Campoverde to reveal where his village was.

“Since I was so eager to see Mr. Nico right away, I used a little tact and put a little harshness…. Mr. Nico shouldn’t be upset with me, should he?”

He didn’t seem to be asking for mercy at all with this plea.

On her proud face was written that she was innocent.

Nico stared at her, silently, for several seconds, his eyes deep and powerful.

Finally, the man’s long fingers cupped her chin and said, “Don’t play tricks on me, it won’t happen again.”

Micaela gently pushed Nico’s hand away and rose from his lap, smiling as she pulled the Oxford offering from her purse. “How dare I play pranks on Mr. Nico, I play for real.”

Micaela stood in front of him, holding the Oxford offering in one hand and the lighter she had just lit for Nico in the other.

With a click, she lit the flame.

The firelight reflected off her vivid, beautiful face, and she flashed a flirtatious, cold smile.

Nico watched the fire from across the river, merely watching indifferently.

Micaela brought the flames close to the cover of the offer and they quickly consumed the paper offer, turning it to ashes.

When it burned to the last corner, Micaela dropped it into the ashtray with an expressionless face.

“Mr. Nico, I promise you, study film, read acting and enter the entertainment industry, but I have one condition.”NôvelDrama.Org owns all © content.

Nico hooked his lips, “That’s a lot of conditions you have, go ahead.”

The woman’s clear, watery eyes looked at him for a moment as she said, “I want Mr. Nico to make me famous.”

The smile on Nico’s thin lips deepened as he said, “You know there will be divine punishment for pushing a girl?”

Micaela smiled seductively, “Mr. Nico said he was positive about my potential, and besides, a man like you, Mr. Nico, wouldn’t be afraid of God’s wrath…”

“I can do something like being damned, but … you have to give me something sweet, otherwise, this condemnation of mine will be in vain.”

“What does Mr. Nico want?”

Nico extended his hand towards her, “Give me your hand.”

Micaela ran her hand across his palm.

Nico sat down and Micaela stood up.

Nico said, “I’m not missing anything, but I’m missing a lover right now.”

Micaela’s heart pounded and choked slightly, but before it came, she was ready, “Until I get bored.”

“Until I get bored.”

Micaela assures herself that she will get bored quickly.

After all, Nico had never been around a woman for more than three months with those rumor-mongers in The Holy City, and his cool period was passing quickly.

Micaela said, “Whatever the duration, I hope Mr. Nico has promised me not to forget.”

Nico stood up, drew her into his arms and looked at her, his gaze judging and flirtatious, “You are very young now, in three years, I will make you famous.”

“I hope Mr. Nico is true to his word.”

“I never go back on my word.”

As they left the bar, Micaela’s feet walked unnaturally in her high heels.

Nico observed it matter-of-factly.

The heels of Micaela’s feet were bloody and her skin was white, making them even more alarming.

Nico may be a cold-hearted man, but he is a gentleman.

He knelt down and grabbed one of her slender ankles and pulled the heels off her foot to see the bloody wound.

Nico frowned slightly, somewhat puzzled, “These heels don’t suit you, why are you wearing them?”.

Micaela lowered her eyes and looked at him with a slight smile, “Even if they don’t fit me, but now, their owner is me, and even if it hurts, it’s still under my feet.”

Heh, hurting the enemy a thousand and hurting himself eight hundred is not a problem, a ruthless.
