“David!” Jeff called surprise wondering what he was doing at the door and if he listened to any of their conversations.

“How long have you been standing there?” Jeff asked

“I just came and was about to knock when you opened the door,” David said and Jeff nodded in response before walking past him.

“David, honey, do you need anything?” Rosa asked as she stood up and walked towards David.

“Yes, Grandma, I can’t sleep. Can I stay in your room?” David said and Rosa nodded in response.

“Of course honey,” Rosa said and David walked fully inside the room. He climbed the bed and Rosa covered him properly with the duvet while she lay beside him.

“I miss Mommy, I wish she was here,” David said out loud. His mommy was the only one who cared so much about him, even though Rhoda had so much hatred in her mind for Hannah, she still loved her son so much,

“Yes, I said yes,” Jessica said and showed Arianna the ring which was on her finger.

“Oh my goodness! Jessica, this is great news” Arianna said and hugged her so tight.

Tears gathered in both of their eyes as they pulled away from the hug.

Arianna laughed and cleaned Jessica’s eyes.

“This calls for happiness, we shouldn’t ruin it with our tears. Come, let’s sit” Arianna said and held Jessica’s hands while they went to the sitting room and sat on the couch.

“Now, tell me who’s this guy that won your heart? Who is he? Where does he come from? What does he do for a living?” Arianna asked while smiling.

“Calm down mom, I will answer your question one at a time. First of all, his name is Jefferson. There’s no need for all these questions, he will be coming over to see you himself during the weekend, you can see him and ask whatever question you want to know” Jessica said as she checked her wristwatch

“But honey,”

“Mom, please. I need to freshen up and go meet Krystal. We are going for shopping. I need to look for a proper dress because I’m going to be having dinner with my soon to be mother-in-law” Jessica said as she stood up and kissed Arianna’s cheeks.

She kept smiling as she climbed upstairs to her room, Arianna sighed softly.

She wondered who this guy was that is driving her daughter crazy.

It pained Arianna so much that she wasn’t around to watch Jessica grow up into a young beautiful lady.

She wasn’t here to guide her through, she wasn’t there for her, she was so happy for her, and glad that she was happy.

She sighed softly and then brought out her phone and dialed a number on it.

“I need you to keep an eye on Jessica and find out who the guy she’s dating is. Do a background check on him and find out who he is” Arianna said and ended the call.

She’s seen her daughter is so In love with the so-called Jefferson who had just proposed to her.

She needed to make sure whoever her daughter was with was a good person and was worth her.

Even though she wasn’t here to guide her when growing up, she is here now, she needs to protect her at all costs.

She sighed and then decided to call Hannah but she didn’t answer the phone call, she tried calling her again but it was then going to voicemail.

Her face turned sour, she just hoped Hannah would forgive her and give her another chance.

It was morning and Brandon had gotten dressed for the office, he walked out of the room climbed down the stairs, and walked towards the dining room.

“Brandon, you came in time, I just prepared your favorite, you can sit and eat,” Arianna said with a smile on her face.

“She left home last night to meet her best friend. She said they were going shopping, that she would be having dinner at her soon-to-be mother-in-law’s house” Arianna said and Brandon almost choked on the food in his mouth.

“What? Soon to be the mother-in-law? Jessica is getting married and I wasn’t informed ?” Brandon asked with a look of shock on his face.

“She just got proposed to yesterday….”

“And who the fuck is this guy that proposed to her?” Brandon asked cutting off his mom’s speech.

“I…….” Arianna paused when Brandon’s phone rang.

Brandon stared at his phone and saw it was Michael Adams calling.

He quickly answered the phone call.

” I found out who killed Rhoda, you won’t believe what I’m about to tell you. I will meet you up at your office” Micheal said and ended the call.

“I have to go, Mom,” Brandon said as he stood up and walked out of the house.
