Chapter 115
A black car screeched to a halt in front of Hannah’s house.
Hannah and the kids alighted the car. The drive was silent all through, no one said a word to each other.
Immediately, they alighted the car and walked inside the mansion, they walked to their room. Hannah stood and watched them.
She decided to go to the kitchen and prepare the kid’s favorite. Just as she was about to enter the kitchen, she heard her phone ringing tone. It was a strange number calling.
She answered the phone call and then she heard Brandon’s voice.
“Brandon! How the hell did you get my number?” She asked surprised. She had changed her number to a new one some days back.
“It doesn’t matter. I just wanted to know if you arrived home safely” Brandon said and Hannah hummed.
“Since when do you care if I arrive home safely?, well, yes I did” She said as she walked inside the kitchen.
“What’s the problem? You don’t sound okay!” Brandon asked in a concerned tone
“The kids, they are sad. They are friends with Jeff’s son and I think they argued, so they are no longer on talking terms.
This is all Rosa’s fault. Bringing kids into Adults’ fights. She’s so senseless” Hannah said as she gave out a long sigh
“Ooops, that sounds serious. Children fight. They are kids, I believe they gonna sort whatever it is out” Brandon said
“I hope so,” Hannah said
“You want me to come over to make you feel better?” Brandon said over the phone and Hannah frowned
“You know what bye! I don’t even know why I’m talking to you!” Hannah said and hissed then ended the call.
She rolled her eyes and dropped her phone on the kitchen counter and put on the apron, then decided to cook one of the kids’ favorite foods.
When she was done, she went to the children’s room, she planted a soft knock on the door and then opened the door gently,
She walked inside the room and there she met the kids sitting on the ground, with their books in their hands. They looked so focused while staring at their books.
“Sweethearts” Hannah muttered with a smile and they raised their heads and stared at her,
They didn’t say a word. Hannah sighed and sat on the ground in front of them.
“Sweethearts, how was class today?” Hannah asked
“It was fine Mommy,” Jayden said and Hannah smiled, thinking of what to say to the kids.
“Mommy, David said you killed his mom,” Addison said with a frown on her face. Hannah smiled.
“Honey, I would never harm anyone nor kill anyone. Whatever he said was probably what he was told. David is still a child.
whatever it is between you guys and David. I’m sure it’s all going to be sorted out. David is still a kid, he can barely differentiate the difference between right and wrong.
Same way you guys are kids too. He just lost his mom and he’s mourning. Just give him time alright?
David is a good boy. You guys shouldn’t stop being nice to him. And I know my children are good too, I raised kings and queens,” Hannah said and the kids smiled.
“Come here, sweethearts,” Hannah said and the kids all moved towards her and did a group hug. Hannah felt tears gather in her eyes, these children were her life and everything, and she just hated to see them sad.
Deep down she hopes that the real killer would be caught and justice will be served, even though Rhoda was a bitch when she was still alive, she still didn’t deserve to die.
“Now come on sweethearts, I prepared your favorite food,” Hannah said as she pulled away from the hug and wiped her tears.
“Yeaaaaaaa” the kids yelled happily as they ran out of the room, to the dining room.
“Gently kids” Hannah laughed as she trailed behind them.
Meanwhile, Jeff’s car screeched to a halt in front of his mansion. He alighted the car looking so happy because he felt his dream was already coming through and he would be having his revenge on the Colbys.
He walked inside the mansion and the first person he saw was David, he looked so sad and was sitting all alone.
“David!” Jeff called and he turned to his dad.
“Is everything alright?” Jeff asked and he muttered a yes. Jeff nodded and walked past him.
He went to his room, pulled off his clothes, and changed into his casual outfit before going to his mom’s room.
He planted a soft knock on the door and Rosa asked him to come in.
“I didn’t know you would be coming home this early” Rosa who was sitting on her bed, going through her phone spoke.
“Yeah, I saw David downstairs. He looks sad, what’s up with him?” Jeff asked
“He’s your son, Jeff. Why didn’t you ask him?” Rosa said and Jeff frowned.
“You barely pay attention to David. It all seems like he doesn’t have a father, you do not perform fatherly duties for him. He’s a child Jeff. He needs you” Rosa said looking almost angry
“I provide everything and make sure he gets everything he needs. What else do you want me to do?” Jeff asked
“It is not just providing him with everything he needs. There’s more to being a father than providing material things, don’t you get that! You are so blinded by your revenge for Hannah that you barely see your son, ” Rosa said and Jeff scoffed.
“You don’t get to lecture me about anything. Not like you were the perfect mother to me. If it weren’t for you in the first place, I wouldn’t have gotten married to Rhoda.
It is all your fault, you fucking threw hannah out of the house. Everything was your fault. Hannah was innocent and if you ask me now, she’s still innocent and didn’t kill Rhoda” Jeff said angrily and Rosa scoffed.
“Your obsession for this woman, Hannah, is gonna get you killed,” Rosa said and Jeff went silent while staring at his mother.
“This family took everything from me.
I’m doing this for myself, Brandon didn’t only take Hannah from me, he sent me to prison and killed Rhoda.
That’s my pain even if u don’t understand it.
I’m taking his sister, I’m taking his company bit by bit and he will feel it, and he will suffer. You can think whatever you want.
I will be bringing Jessica Colby tomorrow for dinner. And you are going to act normal and pretend you like her, even if you don’t ” Jeff said and Rosa stared at him confusedNôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
“Jessica, Brandon’s sister? Are you so obsessed with that family?” Rosa asked
“You’re going to act nice to her and that’s the end of this conversation, ” Jeff said and opened the door to walk out of the room, and to his surprise he saw his son, David who was standing at the door, eavesdropping on all their conversations.
“David!”
