“You…” Just when Alpha Zachary wanted to rebut, he realized that he was unable to find a reason to.

In response, Alpha Kilian curled his lips. “Previously, I saw you as my rival. But from how things turned out, it’s obvious I have overestimated you.”

With his smirk fading away, Alpha Kilian maintained his stare on Alpha Zachary. “You’re not worthy of her.” With that, he broke into a knowing smile and turned to leave.

Watching Alpha Kilian get into his car, Alpha Zachary declared all of a sudden, “Alpha Kilian, this isn’t over. In fact, the war has just begun. I, Alpha Zachary Lucas, swear that I will destroy the Morris family as revenge for what happened today!”

Upon hearing Alpha Zachary’s vow, Alpha Kilian turned around with a triumphant expression and snapped, “Anytime.”

With that, he got into his car and left.

Fabian, too, did the same.

In the deep of the night, Alpha Zachary stood facing the wind with his reddened eyes. A never-before-seen anger had descended upon his face. Anyone who saw it could feel the suffocating aura he was exuding.

After standing there for a long while, he finally got up to leave. It was during the moment he got into his car that a cold glint flashed in his eye.

After bringing everyone back to the Morris residence, Alpha King Larry was looking at the two rooms that had their renovations completed and the one that was still being worked on. He explained gleefully, “As we didn’t know there were three initially, we only prepared two rooms. The third one is being rushed to completion.”

“Isn’t that Mr. Handsome’s room?” Donna pointed at the room being renovated.

“Um, since he doesn’t come home often, it doesn’t matter which room he stays in. Besides, your rooms have to be together, as I can’t show any favoritism,” Alpha King Larry elaborated with a chuckle.

Despite the simple comment, the children could feel the intense affection behind his words. Even Alpha Wade couldn’t help but notice the overwhelming love Alpha King Larry had for them.

“Unfortunately, it’s still not ready for use tonight.”

“It’s fine. Ben and I can stay in the same room,” Tony offered.

“Actually, there’s still another room, which was supposed to be your daddy and mommy’s matrimonial room. However, they never used it.” While Alpha King Larry was speaking, he even snuck a self-conscious glance at Alpha Wade.

“Enough. I’m not that petty. Besides, it was Alpha Kilian that wronged Nelly, not you,” Alpha Wade remarked.

Sharp as usual, Alpha King Larry responded, “You know, I have always admired your ability to see things in an objective manner.”

“Fine, fine. Enough with your flattery. You should go ahead and make the arrangements, while I’m going to make a call.”

After Alpha Wade went off to do so, Alpha King Larry shook his head, as he was well aware of who the former was calling.

Alpha Kilian, you’re on your own now.

At that moment, Tony suggested, “Great-grandpa, I’ll stay in the matrimonial room then.”

“Oh, don’t you want to share a room with Ben?” Alpha King Larry asked.

“I won’t be able to sleep as he has a habit of kicking his blanket away.” If he had a choice, Tony obviously wanted to have his own room. More importantly, he might have a visitor that night.

Ben protested in response, “Hey, hey, I only kick my blanket, not you!”

“I’m worried that you’re itching to.”

Ben’s lips curled. “How did you know?”

“You can drop the idea of wanting to be the eldest. It’s not going to happen in this lifetime. As for the next, you had better come out earlier.”

Ben stared at him. “I was just later than you by a second!”

“A second is all that’s needed for victory or defeat to be decided.”

Knowing that he couldn’t beat his brother in an argument, Ben headed upstairs with a pout. “I’m going up to see my room.”

Alpha King Larry was amused by how they were arguing. “Ben, do you desire to be the eldest? Seizing power isn’t something achievable in a day or two. It’s a long struggle that you must have the tenaMoonwalk pack for.”

Breaking into a smile, Alpha King Larry suddenly felt his heart warm at how lively the home had become.

Meanwhile, Donna commented with a sigh, “I don’t understand why guys must fight over something so meaningless. It’s so much better to be a girl.” With that, she, too, headed upstairs in an adorable manner. “I’m going to see my room too.”

Watching the children go about, Alpha King Larry was filled with bliss. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if it’s this lively at home every day?

At that moment, Tony looked at Alpha King Larry. “Great-grandpa, I’ll be going upstairs too. You can go ahead and chat with Gramps.”

“All right. Go up and rest then,” Alpha King Larry replied.

Only then did Tony head up.

When Alpha Wade came back after making his call, Alpha King Larry was already waiting in the living room with his chess pieces in place and a pot of coffee ready.

“Shall we?”

Alpha Wade took his seat at once. “Come on. I’m not afraid of you.”

With that, both of them dived into their game.

Alpha King Larry was stunned. “I know you still resent him now, but just think about it. Wouldn’t he be a good choice for the sake of the children? Besides, he has turned over a new leaf. You should continue to observe him and perhaps give him a-”

“Check!” Alpha Wade captured one of Alpha King Larry’s pieces.

Taken aback, Alpha King Larry looked down at the chessboard and exclaimed, “Alpha Wade, that’s really sly of you!”

“What do you mean I have an agenda? I was just giving you sincere advice.”

“Drop the sincerity act. You’re just thinking on behalf of your grandson.”

“I-I just want both of them to be happy, including the kids.”

“Stop it. Don’t think I don’t know what you’re really up to.”

As tension began to build in the air, Alpha Kilian walked in on the scene.

In truth, he had grown used to their bantering and appreciated how they livened up the usually quiet atmosphere.

“Mr. Alpha Kilian, you’re back,” Dan greeted at the sight of him.

After nodding in acknowledgment, Alpha Kilian looked inside the house.

“It’s been a while since both of them played and argued at the same time,” Dan commented with a smile.

Curling his lips, Alpha Kilian walked up to them. “Grandpa, Alpha Jackson.”

Both of them stopped their verbal sparring when they saw Alpha Kilian. Alpha Wade, in particular, felt his mind put at ease.

Alpha King Larry swept his gaze at Alpha Kilian. “Have you sent Nelly home?”

“Mmm-hmm.”

“Anyway, you’ll sleep in the guest room tonight because Tony is sleeping in your room,” Alpha King Larry informed.

Alpha Kilian was well aware that his position in the house was being rapidly eroded.

“I’m just going up to check on them as I still have something to deal with tonight.”

“Go ahead then.”

Alpha Kilian gave Alpha Wade a cordial nod before heading upstairs.

At that moment, Alpha King Larry threw Alpha Wade a glance. “Do you feel at ease now? Come, let’s go another round!”
