Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

“Because of what?” Alpha Kilian snarled, his gaze narrowing with a predatory intensity.

“I was blind,” Nelly replied, her voice filled with regret.

Alpha Kilian was taken aback, confusion crossing his features.

I should have known better than to expect anything kind from her.

But despite his inner thoughts, he didn’t feel offended. He knew Nelly’s temperament all too well.

Maintaining a calm facade, he continued driving slowly through the night.

“Actually, Donna takes after you,” Alpha Kilian suddenly commented, his voice cutting through the silence.

Nelly sneered, her tone mocking, “There’s no need to praise yourself in such a roundabout way.”

Alpha Kilian’s lips curled into a knowing smile, his alpha presence exuding a dangerous charm.

A heavy silence settled over the car, tension thickening in the air.

“Nelly,” Alpha Kilian called out suddenly, his voice breaking the quiet.

Nelly turned to look at him, her eyes searching. “Hmm?”

“Thank you for letting them stay, and thank you for coming back,” he confessed, his voice sincere and vulnerable.

Caught off-guard, Nelly met Alpha Kilian’s gaze, finding a glimmer of emotion in his eyes amidst the darkness.

In that moment, her heart skipped a beat, and she quickly looked away, staring out the window. “Everything I did was for my own selfish reasons.”

Alpha Kilian’s voice grew softer, filled with emotion. “Whatever it is, you have given me the opportunity to make amends and learn how to care. Therefore, thank you.”

His words unsettled her, and she remained silent, continuing to stare out at the passing scenery.

Noticing a faint blush coloring her ear, Alpha Kilian’s smile deepened, knowing he had touched a nerve. The car arrived at Nelly’s place, and he brought it to a stop.

As Nelly reached for the door, Alpha Kilian reached out, grabbing her hand gently.

“Aren’t you inviting me up for a chat?” he asked, his tone teasing.

Nelly turned to face him, her eyes wary. “What’s there to chat about?”

A mischievous grin played at Alpha Kilian’s lips; his voice turned cheeky. “I’m fine with just having a drink.”

Nelly’s eyes studied him silently, skepticism etched on her face. “Go straight ahead and turn left. You’ll find a supermarket on your side. They sell plenty of drinks there. Bye!”NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

Despite her attempt to leave, Alpha Kilian refused to let go of her hand. “But I want to drink something from your place.”

Nelly stood dumbfounded, her mind racing for a response.

“Why? Is there a problem?” Alpha Kilian inquired, his gaze intense.

Just as Nelly was about to reply, he smirked. “Don’t tell me you’re afraid that I might do something to you?”

A retort tinged with defiance escaped Nelly’s lips. “It wouldn’t be strange even if I had such thoughts, would it?”

Alpha Kilian grinned, mischief glinting in his eyes. “It wouldn’t, because that’s precisely what’s on my mind.”

Silence hung between them, charged with unspoken desires.

“It’s normal for a man to have such thoughts in front of the woman they love,” he explained, his voice low. “But don’t you worry. Until the day you fully accept me, I’ll respect your boundaries.”

Nelly stared at him in silence, her heart pounding in her chest.

“Is that so?” she finally responded, her voice challenging.

Alpha Kilian nodded, acknowledging her question, his gaze appraising her. “However, it’s a different matter if you so desire it.”

“Bye!”

With those parting words, Nelly swiftly retracted her hand and exited the car, slamming the door shut.

Alpha Kilian watched her silhouette disappear into the darkness, his smile deepening.

In that moment, his phone rang, breaking the silence around him.

Taking it out, he saw that it was Fabian calling and answered with a furrowed brow.

“Hello?”

“Mr. Morris, Alpha Zachary insists on speaking to you,” Fabian’s voice came through the line.

Alpha Kilian’s gaze narrowed, his expression turning grave. “No.”

“However, he said that if you refuse to see him, he will have no choice but to look for Ms. Jackson.”

Alpha Kilian pondered for a moment, his mind working through the implications, before responding, “Let him wait.”

Ending the call, he looked up at the building, his gaze lingering on a darkened apartment that suddenly lit up.

Pulling out his phone, he sent Nelly a message before driving away.

Meanwhile, Nelly received Alpha Kilian’s message as soon as she entered her home.

It read: Rest early.

Though the message was short, it carried a weight that made Nelly pause.

Briefly stunned, she recalled the events of the evening, everything that transpired feeling like a blur.

It didn’t make sense, and yet, it felt strangely natural.

Without responding, Nelly pocketed her phone, kicked off her heels, and headed to the bathroom.

In that moment, she needed a shower to wash away the confusion and regain her senses.

Meanwhile, Alpha Kilian drove straight to the hotel where Fabian and Alpha Zachary still lingered outside.

As he stepped out of the car, Fabian approached him quickly. “Mr. Morris, you’re finally here,” Fabian greeted, casting a wary glance at Alpha Zachary. “He’s probably here about what happened to Desmond and Erin.”

Alpha Kilian gave him a look, but remained silent until Alpha Zachary approached.

“Alpha Kilian, you b*stard!” Without warning, Alpha Zachary threw a punch in his direction.

Fabian cried out, “Mr. Morris, watch out!”

But instead of evading the blow, Alpha Kilian allowed it to land, blood staining his lip.

Fabian was shocked. “Mr. Morris, why didn’t you dodge? You could have avoided it!”

Alpha Kilian wiped the blood away with a smirk, his gaze piercing. “Is that all you can do?”

Alpha Zachary, overcome with rage, lunged at Alpha Kilian once more, but it was clear he stood no chance against the formidable Alpha.

“Mr. Morris…” Fabian’s voice trembled with fear.

Yet, just as Alpha Zachary’s fist was about to connect, Alpha Kilian caught it effortlessly.

“I let you have the first punch on Nelly’s behalf, Alpha Zachary,” he taunted, his voice cold. “But do you really think you stand a chance against me?”

Zachary glared at him, his eyes filled with burning hatred. “Alpha Kilian, you shouldn’t have humiliated my parents!”

Alpha Kilian’s dark gaze hardened, his grip tightening on Zachary’s fist. “Perhaps if your parents had been kept in check, none of this would have happened. They bullied my children, humiliated Nelly at the banquet. Count yourself lucky I didn’t have them thrown out. If you can’t control them, don’t blame others for putting them in their place!” Alpha Kilian asserted with icy finality.
