Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

Nelly remotely encountered Lara by chance as they crossed paths in the dimly lit corridor.

How serendipitous, a small world indeed.

Lara appeared disheveled, her countenance darkening as she caught sight of Nelly. I had assumed Nelly was exaggerating. I never expected that our Alpha King Larry would treat her so harshly.

Animosity and loathing emanated from Lara’s gaze.

However, Nelly simply continued walking past Lara as if she hadn’t even noticed her presence.

“Where is Alpha Kilian? Why are you alone?” Lara inquired.

Nelly disregarded her and carried on.

Lara stomped towards her and forcibly stopped her. “Hey, I’m talking to you!”

Nelly lowered her gaze to where Lara was grasping her shirt. “Didn’t your mother ever teach you to say please when asking a question?”

A cold smile appeared on Lara’s lips. “Nelly, spare me your lectures. I’m asking you, where is Alpha Kilian?”

In the next moment, Nelly reached for Lara’s collar and pressed her against the wall.

Surprise flickered across Lara’s face. “W-What are you doing?”

“Don’t you enjoy a little roughness? Try me. I can still defeat you even with my fracture,” Nelly taunted.

Dread filled Lara’s widened eyes. This woman… she’s utterly deranged!

Nelly scoffed, “Consider this your final warning. Make a move or dare to insult me again, and I guarantee you’ll be humiliated.” With that, she pushed Lara away.

Lara’s anger intensified at Nelly’s arrogant demeanor.

“Don’t rejoice too soon, Nelly. You have a daughter too. One day, Alpha Kilian will be repulsed by you, even if he’s currently infatuated,” Lara cursed at Nelly’s retreating form.

Unfazed by Lara’s rudeness, Nelly glanced over her shoulder, reveling in Lara’s hysterical expression. A sneer formed on her lips.

Lara’s brow furrowed. “W-What are you laughing at?”

“Do you know how to spell ‘stupid’?”

“You-”

“You’re the epitome of it,” Nelly retorted, turning around and striding back to her ward.

Lara clenched her fists so tightly that her entire body trembled with anger.

Ah! This woman is completely unhinged!

Narrowing her eyes at Nelly’s back, Lara vowed to herself.

Let’s see how long your happiness lasts, Nelly. After tonight, you will no longer be my rival.

She reached for her phone and sent a text.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

Under the cover of night, only a handful of pedestrians roamed the streets. Occasionally, a few vehicles would pass by.

A group of tired workers, having just finished their overtime shifts, stood in line at the dessert shop near the hospital.

Alpha Kilian picked out a few desserts and joined the queue at the register.

Other patrons couldn’t help but gawk at Alpha Kilian behind him. Their hands twitched, itching to snap a photo of him with their phones.

Alpha Kilian had grown accustomed to such situations and paid them no mind.

Thoughts of Nelly waiting for him back at the hospital filled him with unease.

Suddenly, his phone buzzed. Glancing down, he noticed an email from his trusted comrade, Fabian.

Quickly scanning the contents, Alpha Kilian’s brow furrowed as he spotted a particular name. Contemplating for a moment, creases formed on his forehead. Before long, he dialed Fabian’s number. “Does Dave have a younger half-brother?”

“Yes, I believe so.”

“Where can I find him?”

“Um… I’m not entirely certain. But I have heard that he suffers from a hereditary mental disorder. I assume he’s at the hospital.”

The hospital?

Alpha Kilian was taken aback. “Investigate him and report to me immediately.”

“Now?”

“Yes, immediately. This very moment!” Alpha Kilian emphasized, gritting his teeth.

Even through the phone, Fabian could sense the urgency in Alpha Kilian’s voice. “I’ll get right on it.”

Once Alpha Kilian hung up, it was finally his turn at the register. After paying for the desserts, he swiftly left.

The hospital was a mere twenty-minute distance from the dessert shop.

As Alpha Kilian returned to the hospital and didn’t see Nelly waiting for him, he immediately dialed her number.

“Sorry, the number you have dialed is unavailable…”

Alpha Kilian furrowed his brows.

An uneasy feeling gnawed at him as he hurried to her ward.

Upon arriving upstairs, he bumped into Lara.

“Alpha Kilian?” Lara was surprised by his appearance.

“What are you doing here?” Alpha Kilian asked, glancing at her briefly.

“I-I couldn’t sleep, so I went for a stroll,” Lara replied, her smile stiff.

Without uttering another word to her, Alpha Kilian strode past her and continued on his way.

“Alpha Kilian, I have something to tell you,” Lara’s voice quivered slightly.

Alpha Kilian paused, turning his head to look at her. “How coincidental. I have something to tell you as well.”

A flicker of delight danced across Lara’s face. “What is it that you wish to tell me?”

Fixing her with a cold gaze, Alpha Kilian warned, “Lara, this is my first and final warning to you. Leave Nelly alone, stay out of our relationship, and do not seek out our Grandfather. If you do, don’t expect any mercy from me.”

The light in Lara’s eyes dimmed.

“Alpha Kilian, must you be so cruel to me?” Lara pleaded, her voice cracking. “I’ve done everything for you!”

“For me? How many things have you done under that excuse?” Alpha Kilian challenged. “Do you need me to list them one by one?”

Lara remained silent, her gaze fixed upon him.

“My stance remains the same. Don’t push the boundaries of our waning friendship any further.” With that, Alpha Kilian turned on his heel and left.

Lara sprinted after him, wrapping her arms around his body. “Alpha Kilian, I know I’ve made mistakes. I’ll change! Please don’t treat me like this. Please don’t leave me.”

Alpha Kilian’s displeasure was evident as he furrowed his brows. “Let go of me.”

“I won’t!”

Gradually, Alpha Kilian loosened her grip around him.

“Alpha Kilian-”

Alpha Kilian’s phone rang at that moment.

Seeing that it was Fabian calling, Alpha Kilian swiftly answered.

“Hello?”

“Alpha Morris, I’m starting to think you possess superhuman abilities. There’s definitely an issue with this guy.”

“What kind of issue?”

“While investigating him, I discovered that he indeed resembles the man we saw in the surveillance footage. It’s not just his height; there are other similarities as well.”

Alpha Kilian’s eyes narrowed. “Where is he now?”

“He’s… at the same hospital as Ms. Jackson,” Fabian replied, his voice filled with certainty.
