You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 85 A Billion-Dollar Bounty

“Luna,” Freya greeted Luna Ann with a warm smile, embracing her as they met.

“Thanks for coming this time.” She came here not just for Luna Ann; that was just one reason. The other reason was that she had seen a studio for sale online, right here in this city.

Freya wanted to take it over.

Leo Stone had pushed her to learn so much, but painting was something she loved besides being a doctor.

She had already chatted with the seller online. After meeting Luna Ann today, she would go to negotiate.

“Don’t mention it.” Luna patted her and politely said, “I just helped out when your mom came.”

Soon, Luna Ann changed the subject, “Why did you decide to come over here? Your whole family is in Urbora City.”

Freya smiled bitterly. “It’s complicated.”

Luna didn’t press further. Everyone had their own stories. Freya didn’t want to talk about it, and there was a reason for that.

The conversation shifted, and Luna Ann generously offered, “What do you want to eat? It’s on me.” Despite the two-year age gap, their relationship remained unaffected.

After Luna Ann left Urbora City, they still kept in touch. Freya wanted to mention Orion Russo, but the words didn’t come out. She thought Luna must have had her reasons and difficulties when she left.

“Luna, are you doing well here?” Freya looked at her. “You seem to have lost some weight.”

Luna smiled, “Work is too busy, you know the nature of my job.”

Freya Stone admired her, for her job and abilities.

After dinner, Luna didn’t bring up Orion Russo. It was as if he had never appeared in her life.

“If you need anything, come find me anytime,” Luna said after the meal.

“Thank you, Luna.”

“We’ve known each other for so many years. After I left Urbora City, I only kept in touch with you. In my heart, you are my friend. We’ve been out of school for a long time.”

Freya only had Luna Ann as her best friend.

As Luna spoke, her phone rang. It was a call from the bureau. She stood up. “I have to go.”

Freya asked, “Another case?”

Luna replied, “Not sure. They didn’t say on the phone, and there’s a previous case that hasn’t been closed yet.”

“Are you afraid?” Freya admired Luna Ann’s courage. Dealing with dead bodies every day required quite a bit of courage, especially for a young woman like Luna Ann.

“I’m used to it.”

After parting ways, Freya went to meet the owner of the studio. The location, interior, and price were all acceptable to her. And the studio already had regular students. The owner was going abroad, so they were selling it.

Freya took over within three days and she settled down here.

In Urbora City.

The secretary and Xander stood in the CEO’s office.

Xander’s injuries had healed. Elijah had sent him to find Freya Stone, but for the past few days, there was no sign of her.

“She must have planned it well, avoiding all surveillance…”

Elijah looked up. He knew this well.

That woman had planned everything. Being so obedient to him before running away had made him careless.

“Keep looking!” Elijah leaned back in his chair, and as he moved, he threw his pen on the table with a loud snap.

In the silent space, it sounded particularly loud! He didn’t speak harshly, but his body language revealed his current displeasure.

“Yes.”

As Xander and the secretary were about to leave, Elijah called Xander.

“Find out who Freya Stone’s man is.” When he said this, his face darkened.

There was a sense of determination, as if capturing Freya Stone and her man and tearing them apart was the only thing on his mind!

Xander’s eyes lit up. Why hadn’t he thought of this before?

“Couldn’t find any trace of Freya Stone. If we find her man, maybe we can get a lead through him.”

Xander, who had lost hope, suddenly felt hopeful again. “I’ll do it right away.”Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

“Go.”

Now, Elijah had only one thought: no matter what it took, he had to find Freya Stone and then tear her to pieces! For Elijah, her leaving a divorce agreement and sneaking away was betrayal. They might not have had a relationship, but they had the identity of a husband and wife!

How could she quietly run away like that?

Anger couldn’t describe Elijah’s furious feelings.

Another half month passed.

Xander found nothing, though he had investigated Freya Stone thoroughly. He found no trace of her having contact with any man.

“No results?” Elijah stood by the French windows of the villa. He stood tall, and when he turned, he exuded a chilling aura.

Xander truthfully answered, “No, whether during her school days or at work, she never had a boyfriend.”

Elijah raised an eyebrow, feeling that Xander had not investigated accurately. He had seen Freya Stone taking birth control pills. If she didn’t have a man, why would she take those?

Moreover, she had been pregnant. Without a man, could she reproduce by herself?

He sneered suddenly. “She’s hiding well!”

Xander blinked, quickly understanding Elijah’s meaning. “You mean she was prepared long ago, so I can’t find her? Just like her escape, it was planned?”

“Even if she ran to another planet, I’ll drag her out!” Elijah said coldly.

“Yes.” Xander lowered his head.

This was probably the most difficult situation he had encountered since following Elijah.

While Freya was painting, she suddenly sneezed. She rubbed her nose; who was talking about her?

Because of the sneeze, the position of her brush went off. She looked at the almost finished painting, but the last stroke ruined the overall effect. She couldn’t find the mood to continue. She walked out of the studio to get some fresh air.

Elowen Noir came over and draped a coat over her. “What are you thinking about?”

Freya Stone shook her head. “Nothing.”

“If you’re tired, take a break.” Elowen cleaned up the studio and took care of Freya by her side.

They were busy in the studio during the day and returned to their residence together at night.

Life was quiet.

Freya’s belly was getting bigger. She had started to show. Elowen calculated the days for her.

“It seems the baby will be born in cold weather.”

After the New Year, in March. It was still not very warm at that time. Freya lowered her head to look at her belly. Her eyes were very gentle.

“Cold weather is fine.”

She enjoyed this calm and quiet life. However, she underestimated Elijah’s determination to find her. The next day, before she got up, Elowen came to her room with a very bad expression.

“Freya, what should we do?”

Elowen Noir looked very flustered.

Freya Stone, still half-asleep, sat up in bed, looking at her. “Mom, what happened? What should we do?”

“Oh dear, take a look.” Elowen handed her a newspaper.

Freya frowned. “Who reads newspapers these days?”

“Then look at your phone.” Elowen was in a hurry and dropped the phone on the floor.

Freya Stone, now fully awake, sensed the seriousness of the situation. Otherwise, Elowen Noir wouldn’t be so panicked.

She picked up her phone. As soon as she opened it, there were various pop-ups. A notice of a bounty covered major social media apps.

“What do we do? People die for money. Elijah Silverton is offering a billion. As long as someone provides information about you, they get paid. Shouldn’t we leave here?”
