You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 319 Are You Confused?

Eric picked up some food for Sacha and said, “Let’s eat first.”

He didn’t mention anything about Freya. Freya didn’t want too many people to know about her. So, he kept it a secret from his daughter as well. But Sacha Lowe was very curious and kept asking, “Dad, just tell me, I really want to know.”

“You’ve met Elijah, so what do you think of him as a man?” Eric deliberately changed the subject.

Sacha fell for it. After thinking for a moment, she said, “He was blessed with incredibly good looks by God, but he also has the worst temper. So, I guess God is fair.”

Eric chuckled. “So what?”

“What do you mean, ‘so what’?” Sacha didn’t understand.

Eric had thought that after Sacha Lowe met Elijah, she would have some thoughts about him as a man. But it seemed like she didn’t. She was solely focused on finding Joan Nash’s grave. He found comfort in that. Even though she wasn’t his biological daughter, Sacha was very filial.

Sacha seemed to have figured something out and stared at her father. “Dad, he and I are related by blood, no matter how good-looking he is, I can’t like him. Are you confused?”

Sacha Lowe was adopted when she was over two years old. She had no memory of it. Eric and Joan had treated her as their own flesh and blood, never mentioning the adoption in front of her. Therefore, Sacha always thought she was their biological daughter.

“I’m confused. I’m confused,” Eric stalled, “I had some drinks at lunch and I’m still not sober.”

“Dad, I know Mom is gone. You were really sad, but you can’t neglect your health. I still need you. I lost Mom, I can’t lose you too.” Sacha pouted.

Eric smiled, “I understand, I won’t drink anymore.”

After finishing their meal, Eric told his daughter to go home first, saying he had something to take care of, and they parted ways. He went to the place where Freya lived. Freya hadn’t come back from work yet, so he waited for her at the door.

Freya didn’t return until almost ten o’clock. She was wearing a trench coat, with a floral dress underneath, a scarf wrapped around her neck, concealing the scars. As the wind blew, her clothes clung to her body, emphasizing her prominent belly. She walked while looking at the documents in her hand, munching on a sandwich. She was so focused on what she was reading that she didn’t notice someone at the door.

“You had a sandwich for dinner?” Eric frowned.

Freya looked up and saw him, replying, “I planned to make some soup when I got home, so I just had the sandwich as a placeholder.” She hadn’t had time for dinner, so she bought a sandwich as a temporary fix after work.

“You’re pregnant, you can’t eat like this. Come on, there’s a Chinese restaurant nearby. I’ll take you there for something warm and nutritious.” Eric pulled her along.

Freya had no choice but to follow him to the restaurant. She put down the things in her hands and was about to take off her scarf when she remembered her face, so she stopped. The waiter came over, and she deliberately shielded her face.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

Eric ordered the food. Soon, the dishes were served.

“Start with some soup.” Eric said.

“Thank you.” Freya replied.

“Don’t be so polite.” Eric said.

As the warm soup went down her throat, her stomach and body felt warmer.

“Eat a bit more.” Eric said.

Freya was indeed hungry, so she didn’t hold back. Although it was a Chinese restaurant, they served customers forks. Freya picked up the food and brought it to her mouth.

Eric didn’t move.

“Aren’t you eating?” she asked.

“I just ate with my daughter.” Eric deliberately mentioned Sacha. “She was sent back by Elijah.”

Upon hearing that name, the food in Freya’s mouth suddenly lost its flavor. She chewed slowly and intermittently.

“She couldn’t find the location of Joan’s grave. Since you know Elijah well and understand his temperament, can you suggest a way to find Joan’s grave?” Eric looked at Freya with hopeful eyes. He believed that Freya might have a solution.
