You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 285 Getting What He Deserves

“What long scroll?” Zane looked confused.

Freya stared at his expression. “You really have no idea?”

“No, Freya, you have to explain it clearly to me. What long banner? I didn’t quite understand what you said.” Maybe it was the hangover from last night, his mind still wasn’t clear. He couldn’t comprehend what Freya was saying for a moment. Freya stared at him for a few seconds. Making sure Zane wasn’t pretending, she said, “Yesterday, at Orion’s wedding, someone hung a long banner on the building, cursing him and Haley Holt…”RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Zane burst into laughter, “He’s getting what he deserves.”

Freya asked seriously, “Was it you?”

“Not me.” Zane’s face still had a smile, “It seems that I’m not the only one who dislikes him. He must have done something really bad to deserve it.”

Freya pursed her lips and looked at him. She was starting to doubt him.

“It really wasn’t you? It just looked like you.”

Zane didn’t care, “If you insist it was me, then it was me. But I’m genuinely happy to know that he’s being cursed.”

“Don’t do things like this in the future, it’s not good for Luna. If the Russo family thinks she did it, they might cause trouble for her.”

“He’s been with me the whole time, never had the chance to hang any long banners. Don’t accuse him.” Luna woke up at some point without them realizing. She stood up, “We should leave.”

Freya also got up, “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine.” Luna said, turning to look at Freya, “Zane has been with me the whole time. We came here right after leaving the wedding. He has been by my side and didn’t have the time to hang any long banners.”

Freya was puzzled, “Then who could it be?”

“I don’t care who it is. As long as it disgusts Orion, I’m happy.” Zane went to pay the bill.

Freya and Luna left the bar first.

“I should head back too.” Luna stretched lazily.

“Aren’t you going to freshen up?” Freya said, “I’m not working today, and I need to go home to see Kai. You can come to my place to take a shower.”

“Do I look that disheveled?” asked Luna.

Freya nodded.

Luna thought for a moment and said, “Alright, but it’s going to be a bother for you.”

“Don’t worry about being polite with me.”

Zane also walked out.

“Let’s go quickly,” Freya said.

Zane hailed a taxi.

Suddenly, a black luxury car stopped in front of Luna. The window rolled down, revealing Mrs. Russo’s face. Although the Russo family was wealthy, Orion’s mother still had a tired look, probably because her life in the Russo family wasn’t all that satisfactory.

“Luna, get in the car. I have something to ask you.”

Luna said, “You can ask me here.”

Orion’s mother glanced at Luna up and down, then her gaze shifted to the Coco Bar sign behind her. A hint of scorn appeared on her lips, “To be a daughter-in-law of the Russo family, not only should she be a good match, but your lifestyle alone is not worthy of entering the Russo family.”

Luna didn’t show any emotional fluctuations in response to Mrs Russo’s words because she had heard far worse before. She was already accustomed to it.

“Fine, since you refuse to come with me, then we’ll talk here. I want to ask you, did you hang the long banner at Orion’s wedding?”

“Not her.” Before Luna could answer, Zane walked over and directly answered her.

Mrs Russo looked at him, “Who are you?”

“I’m Luna’s friend. If your son gets cursed at his wedding, it’s because of his character flaws. You should go home and ask your son how many bad things he’s done to deserve it.”

Zane was definitely fearless, even as a newcomer. He didn’t care who the woman was and he confronted her directly.

Mrs Russo looked at him, then at Luna, and asked, “Were you two together last night?”
