You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 256 A Special Patient

“Come closer, I’ll tell you,” he said.

Freya hesitated for a moment, then took a step forward, standing in front of him. Elijah reached out, pulling her tightly into his arms. Freya placed her hands on his chest, her face slightly flushed, and whispered, “What are you doing?”

“I’ll tell you why I’m laughing,” he said, leaning down slightly, his lips brushing against her ear. “Is it because of my intelligence that you’re so clever in bed?”

Freya’s cheeks immediately turned red.

This guy…

“Do you have no shame?” Freya glared at him, feeling shy.

Elijah chuckled softly, “When I’m with you, what do I need shame for? If I had shame, could you bear me a child?”

Freya was speechless.

What happened to being aloof?

What happened to acting superior?

Right now, he seemed like a rascal.

“Let’s get back on track and find a specialist quickly,” Freya said, afraid that he would say something inappropriate. But in truth, Elijah was just being playful. Only when he was with Freya could he truly relax. “Hmm.”

He deliberately teased Freya, just to temporarily forget about Joan Lowe’s situation. But he couldn’t escape from it forever. He would eventually have to face reality.

“I’ll make a phone call.” Said Elijah.

While he made the call, Freya took the opportunity to check on Kai. Kai seemed listless today. He usually kept babbling, “Mama, mama…”

Freya hugged her son and kissed his cheek. Kai snuggled into her arms, quiet and obedient, his usual lively demeanor gone. He looked unwell and lacked energy.

“Don’t give him any solid food.” Freya said.

Fever can cause loss of appetite, so let him have some formula milk and drink plenty of water.

Linda nodded. “Yes, the doctor mentioned that.”

“Let’s go,” Elijah said as he finished his call and walked over.

Freya had no choice but to hand the child over to Linda.

“Don’t worry, go and take care of your tasks. I’ll take good care of the baby.” Linda assured them.

Freya and Elijah headed out. They went to the General Hospital of the Second Military Region, where they could find a neurology specialist recommended by Orion. When they arrived, Orion was already waiting at the entrance. Seeing Orion, Freya couldn’t help but think about his upcoming wedding, and it made her feel a little uncomfortable. It was for Luna. She didn’t want to interfere, but standing from a friend’s perspective, from a woman’s perspective, she felt that Orion getting married so quickly after the breakup seemed a bit heartless.

Orion, on the other hand, remained calm and asked, “Did you receive the invitation?”

Freya replied nonchalantly, “We did.”

Orion fell silent for a moment. “I hope you can come.”

“We will definitely be there,” Freya said, linking her arm with Elijah’s.NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

Orion knew that Freya and Luna had a close relationship and that she had a strong personality. He didn’t blame her and said, “Let’s go, the person we’re meeting is already waiting.”

They entered the hospital.

Freya couldn’t help but feel a bit nostalgic being here again. This was the place she had dreamed of being, and she had the opportunity before, but various circumstances forced her to leave. She just hoped that she still had a chance.

Soon, Orion led them into the office of the head of the neurology department. Freya had asked Renping, the doctor who performed the CT scan for Joan Lowe in Harmony & Mercy Hospital, to send over Joan Lowe’s CT images. This was something she had arranged with the doctor beforehand. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been sent over.

After the images came out, the head of the neurology department examined the shadowy area under the lights.

“This thing is affecting the patient’s memory. Can you tell what it is?” Freya asked.

The head of the neurology department replied, “It’s inevitable that it would affect the memory. This thing is placed as a blockage in the memory nerve. From my observation, it looks like a chip-shaped interferer. This kind of thing is still in the research phase both domestically and internationally, and there are only a few cases of it being used in the human body. Can I see the patient?”

This kind of medical record was extremely rare. He was eager to take on this patient for the purpose of observation and research.

“If we opt for surgery, would there be any risks?” Freya asked. Because this was in the field of neurology, not her area of expertise, she needed to know the risks involved in this surgery.

“Based on the images, the placement of this thing is meant to interfere with the patient’s memory nerves. However, it has already shifted and moved deeper, causing the patient to experience headaches. If we don’t perform the surgery as soon as possible, it could affect her life.”

Experts were experts for a reason. They got straight to the point.

“Do you have the confidence to perform this surgery?” Freya asked.

Freya knew that Sivin Peters wasn’t an expert in this field, so the chip in Joan Lowe’s brain wasn’t placed properly, and there had already been one surgery in the middle. If a specialized neurosurgeon performed the surgery, they should be able to do it well in one go. And there wouldn’t be any movement. But Eric Lowe, out of fear of others finding out, had chosen his friend Sivin Peters, a heart specialist, to perform the neurosurgery.

“I need to see the patient first before making a decision,” the head of the neurology department replied cautiously. He didn’t say anything definitive.

“Well, thank you,” Freya said.

After they left the office, Orion finally asked, “Who is this patient? Seems quite special.”
