Chapter 244 Apology
As soon as she saw Ronan, her face immediately darkened. She turned to Zane and asked, “The thing you mentioned, is it about Ronan?”
Zane didn’t know why Freya was angry, so he quickly explained, “It was Ronan who approached me, asking for a favor to bring you here. I didn’t think it was a big deal, so I agreed. Besides, he said he would help me find evidence against Liora for my mother’s murder. I couldn’t refuse him, so…”
Ronan quickly walked over and apologized, “I know I was wrong. I know you’re mad at me. I know you don’t want to see me, so I had Zane arrange this meeting to give me a chance to apologize to you. Can’t you give me that?”
Freya didn’t want to argue with him anymore.
“I just hope you won’t do such childish things in the future. And, I’m not angry anymore. You don’t need to apologize. I have something to do now, so I’ll leave.” Freya walked towards the roadside, preparing to hail a taxi.
Ronan walked over and grabbed her wrist. “Since you’re here, let’s have a meal together. The food here is unique and can’t be found elsewhere…”
Freya’s expression turned cold. “Let go of my hand.”
Why did he have to resort to physical contact when talking?
Ronan reluctantly let go. “Why are you so cold to me? Weren’t we fine before?”
Freya found him ridiculous.
“Hey, Ronan, because of you, I had a falling out with Elijah. Should I be grateful to you?” Freya thought he was out of his mind. “If you really feel sorry, then stay, a, little, further, away from me.”
“Aren’t we friends?” he said, looking helpless.
Freya said, “I don’t want a friend who always causes trouble for me.”
Ronan stayed silent. He just wanted to cause some trouble for Elijah.
“Today, I went to see Elijah. I wanted to explain, but Xander, who was with him, kept interrupting and I didn’t get a chance to explain…”
“Wait a minute…” Freya interrupted him, “You went to see Elijah?”
Ronan nodded, being honest, “Yes, I went there to explain.”
“Who told you to go?” Freya was about to explode. She knew Elijah’s temper to some extent.
Wasn’t Ronan just asking for trouble?
This was ridiculous!
“I did that for you,” Ronan said.
Freya waved her hand forcefully, unable to find words to express her anger.
“I won’t have a meal with you.”
Freya’s mind was clear. At this moment, she should hurry back and talk to Elijah to clear things up instead of wasting time here with Ronan.
“If you continue like this, I will cut ties with you!” Freya threatened.
Ronan sighed. “Fine, I understand.”
This time, he was indeed in the wrong.
“Freya, let me take you back,” Zane walked over.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
Freya said, “Okay. And in the future, avoid associating with people like him.”
“Freya, I’m not a bad guy, okay? When you were drunk, did I do anything inappropriate to you?” Ronan felt wronged.
He only wanted to annoy Elijah. He didn’t do anything else. How did he become the bad guy?
“If you did, I wouldn’t let you off easily.” Zane said.
Without even looking at Ronan, Freya said, “Let’s go.”
There was no need to waste more time here. Zane went to start the car.
Ronan said, “I’m sorry.”
Freya didn’t respond and silently got into the car. Zane drove away, smoothly navigating the road. The silence persisted in the car. Suddenly, Zane spoke up, “Freya, Luna went through a breakup. You should comfort her often, and if there’s nothing going on, you can invite her over to hang out.”
Freya looked at him. With a meaningful implication, she said, “Luna likes mature men.”
“I’m just concerned about her. You’re overthinking it.” Said Zane.
“Maybe, but you can take care of her.” Said Freya.
The best way to heal from a breakup was to start a new relationship.
Freya leaned against the car window. She herself was a mess right now, so she didn’t have the mood to care about others.
The sky was getting dark. As the car passed by a hotel entrance, Freya saw a person.
That woman!
“Stop.” She suddenly shouted loudly.
