You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 240 Reconciliation

Based on the photos she saw on Elijah’s desk and the medical records she had come across, they seemed unrelated, but in reality, they were closely connected.

So tomorrow, would she possibly meet that woman?

In the past, Freya would never have inquired about other people’s affairs, but this was about Elijah. She had to find a way to figure out if the woman in the medical records was Elijah’s mother. And who was this man named Eric Lowe? Why was he with the woman in the medical records? And it seemed like he didn’t want anyone to know about the woman in the records. There must be something fishy going on.

After thinking about it, Freya went to the CT room. When she went back to find Sivin Peters, he wasn’t there. She hesitated for a moment in front of the desk and decided to pick up the medical records. She took them out and took a look.

Freya was shocked by what she saw. The medical records documented that Sivin Peters had performed a craniotomy on a woman named Joan Nash.

But wasn’t Sivin Peters an expert in cardiology?

Why would he perform a brain surgery?

There was no record of any brain condition for Joan Nash, only the details of the surgery. Just as she was about to reach a crucial point, she heard someone say, “Dr. Peters,” outside the door.

Sivin Peters had returned.

Freya quickly put the records back, making sure they were in the same position as before. She acted as if nothing had happened and smiled as Sivin Peters entered.

“Dr. Peters, where did you go just now? I went to the CT room. Dr. Lee will be on duty tomorrow morning.”

Sivin Peters glanced at the desk but didn’t notice anything unusual. He nodded, “Hmm, come a bit earlier tomorrow morning. Now, you can go and attend to your tasks.”

Freya turned and walked out.

Sivin Peters sat down at the desk, his gaze fixed on the file folder in front of him. His expression was inscrutable. He didn’t know if Freya had looked at them, but he just didn’t expose her.

Freya walked out of Sivin Peter’s office, feeling a wave of relief. It was the first time she had done something like this, and her phone suddenly rang. It startled her. She patted her chest, took a moment to calm down, and reached for her phone.

It was Luna.

“I’m outside the hospital, do you have a moment? Let’s meet up,” Luna said.

Freya agreed. She didn’t have anything pressing at the moment, so she hung up the phone and headed towards the entrance. From a distance, she could see Luna standing on the steps, with Orion behind her. Her footsteps faltered, wondering whether these two were back together.

No way, right?

Freya knew Luna to some extent. She shouldn’t be able to accept Orion’s infidelity, even if it was only physical. Even if there was no emotional betrayal.

Freya adjusted her expression and walked over, “Luna, Orion.”

Luna didn’t have a smile on her face originally. But when she saw Freya, a hint of a smile appeared.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

“You both came together?” Freya spoke first.

Luna nodded and asked, “Are you free now? Orion and I have something to talk to you about.”

Freya nodded, “I have a bit of time.”

“Let’s go to a quieter place over there,” Luna pointed to the hospital’s backyard, where there were fewer people.

Freya agreed.

Orion hadn’t said a word all this time, and when they walked towards the garden, Luna kept her distance from him. This distance didn’t look like that of lovers. It looked more like strangers, not even friends. Freya had a bad feeling about this. Soon, her intuition turned into reality.

“Freya, we’ve decided to break up and just be friends from now on,” Luna said.

Freya looked at Orion, “Orion…”

Orion didn’t say a word, his face looking very unpleasant. Freya didn’t try to persuade them either, after all, relationships were a matter between two people. Their main conflict was their family background and Orion’s mother. Freya understood Luna’s inability to compromise. Luna was a woman, and she had to leave herself an exit strategy. Orion was torn between his own mother and the person he liked, caught in the middle and in pain.

“We wanted to tell you together because you’re a friend to both of us.” Luna said.

Freya nodded. She didn’t know what to say. There really was no way to mend this kind of thing. They were all adults with their own thoughts and considerations.

“We’re parting ways amicably, without arguing or causing a scene. We’ll still be friends when we meet in the future,” Luna said, looking at Orion, “Right?”

Orion turned away, still not saying a word.

“Okay, now that everything has been said, I’ll leave first. Freya, you should go to work as well,” Luna remained calm and unaffected throughout, without any waves of emotion.

The hysterical moments were already in the past. Now, it was time to learn to let go.

After Luna left, Orion also prepared to leave. Freya called out to him, “Orion.”
