You Are My Mr Right

Chapter 129 What Do You Want Me to Help You With?

Freya quickly averted her gaze, wanting to avoid him. However, at that moment, Xander said, “Mr Silverton is here. Do you want to say hello?”

Xander’s voice caught the attention of people nearby. Elijah turned to look, and Freya had no choice but to meet his gaze, smiling. “I have something to discuss and wanted to find Xander.”

“What is it?” Elijah asked. He probably knew, but he still asked. The main purpose was to see how she would respond.

In these days of Leo Stone’s funeral, she used busyness as an excuse and didn’t visit his mansion much. Moreover, Elijah was not allowed to attend the funeral. He felt she was distancing herself from him.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

“Nothing important,” she replied casually.

Elijah remained composed. “Come with me.”

After saying that, he walked towards his office.

Freya hesitated but stood still. Seeing her hesitation, Xander reminded her in a low voice, “Mr Silverton is being nice to you now, but it doesn’t mean he has no temper. You should go quickly.”

Taking a deep breath, Freya raised her face with a smile. “I know.”

“Wasn’t she fired? Why is she still in the company?” Freya asked.

Xander looked at Elara Montague and replied, “Yes, she was fired. I don’t know why, but Mr Silverton asked me to arrange a job for her. Now she works in the public relations department, and she just came over to deliver some documents.”

This was something Xander had figured out. Elijah made it clear that he was only interested in Freya, yet he still brought Elara Montague into the company. Now Xander couldn’t understand Elijah’s intentions.

Freya smiled, “Isn’t his behavior strange?”

Xander nodded, quickly realizing his mistake, and then shook his head. “Mr Silverton is not that kind of person. Don’t misunderstand.”

Freya didn’t get angry and said with a smile, “There must be many women who like him, right?”

Xander remained silent because that was indeed the truth.

“Surrounded by beautiful women, a woman like me who doesn’t understand romance will eventually make him feel bored.” Freya continued.

“No, you’re different,” Xander hurriedly explained for Elijah.

“Different? How?” Freya raised an eyebrow. She self-mockingly smiled and walked over to Elara Montague, who was holding documents. “We meet again.”

Elara’s face looked harmless, but her eyes were challenging.

Freya knew that Elara liked Elijah. Women understood women best. Since her last visit to Elijah’s villa, she could sense her intentions. And with Jack Silverton behind her, becoming the next Mrs Silverton should not be difficult.

“We did meet again,” Freya said with a smile and walked into the office, pushing the door open.

Elara’s smile slowly faded from her face as she clutched the folder tightly to her chest, her eyes filled with envy and resentment. She was envious of the relationship between Freya and Elijah and that Freya had won Elijah’s affection.

In the office, Elijah stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, hearing a sound, he turned around.

Freya wore an impeccable smile on her face. “Do you need something from me?” she asked.

Elijah remained silent, his gaze unwaveringly fixed on her.

Uncomfortable under his intense scrutiny, Freya asked, “Why are you staring at me like that?” She touched her face. “Is there something on my face?”

“Why didn’t you come to me?” Elijah approached her.

Freya stepped back, creating distance between them, still smiling. “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”

“You went to Xander. Is it because you don’t understand business, and you came to him for advice?” His voice was low, seemingly calm but harboring an underlying storm.

Freya bravely met his gaze. “My father left the company temporarily under my care. I studied medicine in college and have no experience in managing a company. So, I came to Xander for help. I thought you might be busy, so I didn’t want to disturb you.”

“Is that so?” Elijah let out a cold laugh from his throat. “Tell me, what’s going on with you again!”

“I didn’t do anything…” Freya was cut off.

“Still pretending?” Elijah interrupted. “Did my grandfather say something to you?”

Freya’s smile on her face slowly faded. She lowered her head.

“Did he ask you to leave me?” Elijah asked.

“No,” Freya replied, looking down.

“Then why have you been cold to me lately?” he almost demanded.

Freya suddenly raised her head, her face pale. “Because I’m afraid…”

I’m afraid I’ll fall for you.

“Afraid of what?” Elijah took a step forward. Freya immediately stepped back. The more she avoided, the closer Elijah got.

She dared not look directly at him, saying, “I have other things…”

Elijah became annoyed that she wouldn’t tell him the truth at such a critical moment. He couldn’t tolerate it. He pushed her against the door with a bang, her head hitting the door panel, and her mind buzzing with pain.

Freya’s only feeling was pain. It was supposed to be a kiss, but it felt more like a bite. He was rough, possessive, demanding. Freya didn’t resist, and she couldn’t resist, silently enduring his anger. And he became more and more unrestrained, his hand reaching under her clothes, kneading and rubbing her waist…

Freya suddenly widened her eyes and spoke softly, “This is the company, your office. Aren’t you afraid of being seen by someone?”

Elijah simply lifted her up, carrying her waist, walking towards the sofa. “No one will come in without my permission.”

Freya’s throat felt extremely dry, glancing elsewhere. “My father just passed away. I can’t…”

Elijah paused, his intense gaze cooling slightly. Freya took advantage of his relaxation and struggled out of his embrace, rushing out. She ran fast and bumped into Elara Montague.

When Freya looked up, Elara saw the bite marks on her lips. Clearly, that was a bite mark. And Freya had just been in Elijah’s office, where only Elijah and she were present. It was obvious how those lip marks came about.

Elara’s face instantly turned ugly.

Freya didn’t linger and walked away.

Inside the office, Elijah had Xander called in.

Soon, Xander arrived.

“Go check on her,” Elijah said, adjusting his collar.

Xander understood and said, “I’ll go now.”

As he turned to leave, as if remembering something, he turned back and said, “Madam saw that Elara Montague brought you some documents, and she asked me why Elara Montague stayed. She seemed a bit unhappy. Could she be jealous?”

Elijah’s dark face clearly changed. He was delighted in his heart, but on the surface, he pretended to be indifferent. “I know. You can go.”

Xander nodded and left.

The office door was closed, and a slight smile appeared on Elijah’s face. His anger, his delight–all linked to Freya Stone.

Outside the door.

“Mr Cross, where are you going?” Elara smiled innocently.

How could Xander tell her about Elijah’s affairs? He casually replied, “Business matters.”

After saying that, he left.

Elara followed, reluctant to give up. “Mr Cross, I’d like to ask you for a favor. Is that okay?”

Xander asked, “What do you want me to help you with?”
