We Got Love, The Crazy Kind

Chapter 40 The One Used by Paris Hilton

Chapter 40 The One Used by Paris Hilton

Much to Amber’s relief, she found some pantyliners stashed in her backpack. She should be able to

get by with them until Liam came back. Then, she quickly replaced the soiled sheets and got changed.

Thinking that it was not a good idea to throw her bloodstained sheets and clothing straight into the

washing machine, she stuffed them into the laundry basket. She planned to wash them with her hands

after Liam was gone.

When Liam made it back, he found that Amber had changed the sheets. He did not ask any questions

despite feeling curious.

He did not want to risk aggravating Amber by asking her awkward questions.

“Here’s the thing you need.” Liam handed a carrier bag to Amber. Both of them carefully avoided each

other’s eyes during the process.

Amber went speechless when she saw what was inside the carrier bag. The bag was filled to the brim

with at least twenty packets of sanitary pads.

They were enough to last her for a couple of months.

“Thanks! How much are they? I should pay you back.” Amber kept her eyes fixed on Liam’s shoes

when she thanked him.

“I paid it with my credit card, so I didn’t notice the price.” There was a barely noticeable trace of

annoyance in Liam’s level voice.

“He didn’t notice the price! That’s the typical thing rich people do,” Amber muttered in her mind. Just as

she wanted to ask Liam to give her an approximate figure, he had left.

Amber was not in the mood to dwell on it. She immediately took a pad and rushed her way into the

bathroom.

Colors drained from her face several seconds after she put the pad on as an icy wave surged from her

down under right up to her lower belly. She started shivering as her body quickly started losing heat.

Feeling puzzled, she grabbed the packet of sanitary pads and scrutinized its packaging. Only then did

she realize that the pads were designed for the summer and they were made with a unique “Cool Pad

Technology”. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

The “Cool Pad Technology” was a horrible idea during winter. “What’s wrong with Liam? Why didn’t he

take a closer look at the packaging before he bought it? Oh, no. I’ve owed him a huge sum of money

and a big favor in return for a pile of sanitary pads that are going to freeze me to death!” she lamented.

She could not believe her luck.

At last, she decided to put up with the discomfort and made her way to the convenience store herself to

buy some sanitary pads of the normal variant. When she was back, she happened to see Liam

standing by the door, signing the receipt of some stuff he bought online.

At the sight of Amber, Liam handed the box to her. “I bought you a set of new sheets.”

Amber looked as though she was just struck by lightning. She tossed the carrier bag she was holding

aside and dashed toward the bathroom. As her expectation, her soiled sheets and clothing had

vanished.

Staring at the empty laundry basket, Amber felt both embarrassed and furious.

“Who does he think he is? Why does he think he has the right to throw my stuff away? Did he ask for

my permission before he did that?” she thought.

She marched furiously back to the living room. “Liam Croft, where are the sheets in the laundry

basket?” she confronted him, her voice an icy blast.

Liam was taken aback by how miffed she looked. “I’ve thrown them away. Is there a problem?”

“Is she going to wash the soiled sheets and use them after that? Isn’t that disgusting?” he wondered.

The idea of keeping the bloodstained sheets was unacceptable to Liam, who was a clean freak.

“That’s my stuff! Shouldn’t you have asked for my permission first before dumping them?” Amber tried

her best to keep her strained voice calm.

Liam shrugged. “Why don’t you take a look at the new sheets I’ve got you?”

The sheets, which were also used by Paris Hilton, set him back 300 dollars. The design was beautiful

and the material was comfy. Liam was sure Amber would like it.
