We Got Love, The Crazy Kind

Chapter 38 Don’t Move

Chapter 38 Don’t Move

“Are you sure you are alright?” Liam couldn’t help worrying about Amber seeing the beads of cold

sweats on her forehead and her pale face.

“I’m sure! Just get out of here now!” Amber held her butt up with both her hands so that the bed linen

would not be stained by her menstrual blood.

She was too preoccupied with her plight that she was oblivious to how harsh she sounded. Liam froze

for two seconds before making his way to the door. “Just call me over if you have any problems.”

“What a foul-tempered woman Amber was! I would surely just ignore her if she did not look so

miserable,” he thought. Before meeting Amber, he had never dealt with women as rude and surly as

her.

Finally, Amber released the tension in her muscles when Liam was gone. To her dismay, blood started

flowing out from her body even more rapidly after she relaxed her muscles.

With one hand covering her belly and the other holding the bedside table to support herself, she tried to

reach for the sanitary pads kept inside the drawer.

A spasm of sharp pain from her belly hit her when she stood up, causing her to stumble forward and

collapse on the floor.

A searing pain came from her tailbone in an instant. Coupled with the pain in her lower abdomen, she

was too weak to stand back up.

“What happened? Did you fall off the bed?” Liam barged into her room after hearing the commotion.

Seeing Amber lying on the ground, he stretched out his arms toward her.

“Don’t touch me!” Amber shifted her body away from him. She was very sure that her trousers had

already been stained by her menstrual blood. If she allowed Liam to carry her, her menstrual blood

would stain his hands too!

Liam was irritated by how stubbornly Amber rejected his touch even when she desperately needed

help. At the same time, he wished he could be cruel enough to let her suffer alone.

Yet, he couldn’t turn a blind eye to her pain. After hesitating for several seconds, he decided to carry

her despite her protests.

In a domineering manner, he pinned both of her arms to her back and lifted her from the floor. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

She could detect his masculine scent and hear his steady and strong heartbeats when her face was

pressed against his chest. Thanks to his higher body temperature, she felt warm and comfortable in his

arms.

Time seemed to stand still at the moment. Amber froze, entranced by his chiseled and beautiful

jawline. At the same time, she wondered why she was feeling so safe and secure in the arms of a man

who did not belong to her.

Liam happened to look down at her too. When their eyes met, they fused such a powerful connection

that it blew both of them away. They quickly moved their eyes elsewhere, feeling flustered.

Suddenly, Liam felt something sticky and warm on his palms. He checked his hands and was taken

aback by the bright red stains on them.

“Are you injured?” Horrified, Liam’s face turned pale. “Why is she losing so much blood?” he wondered.

Amber was so embarrassed that she wished she could hide somewhere. She squirmed around in an

attempt to get on her feet, but Liam insisted on carrying her. In her desperation, she buried her face in

his chest to avoid his inquisitive eyes.

Amber was certain she was experiencing the most embarrassing moment in her life.

With Amber cowering in his arms, Liam could not see anything but her reddened ears.

He could tell there was something not right with Amber, but he could not pinpoint the issue.

“Lie down on the bed. I’ll take a look at your injury.” He gave up trying to pry information from her and

decided to take a look at her himself.

Amber jumped out of her skin when she heard his offer. Unable to keep mum any longer, she struggled

to free herself from his arms and pleaded, “You don’t have to do that because…I’m just feeling slightly

under the weather. Don’t worry, I can take care of myself! You should get back to your room now.”

While she was writhing about in his arms, her body was brushing against some of the most sensitive

areas of his body.

Suddenly, his muscles tensed up and his throat was parched with desire. The blood in his body rushed

downward and he was losing control of himself.

As his mind was in turmoil, his brain did not have enough capacity to interpret what Amber said. In a

raspy voice, he warned, “Stop moving around, or…”

Amber, who assumed that he would insist on examining her body, blurted, “That’s enough, Liam! You

have no business here because I’m just having my period!”
