Chapter 30
Chapter 30
Jewel POV
It's almost a week ago but still each of those days got ruined because of the specific person that she
really didn’t want to see but unlucky, she did. She often visits her best friend Calleigh but she can't stay
at Dark's house because Thunder is also there which she is very annoyed with. She didn't know if it
was just a coincidence or that man intentionally annoyed her. And when they meet with Celine just to
talk about the catering of their wedding, they don't finish discussing because the two did nothing but to
flirt in front of her, in fact she wants to cancel the catering of her restaurant at the wedding of two but it
will turn out to be an unprofessional and it will affect her restaurant so she decided to not to.
And today, she is with her parents in their company because they have something important to talk
about. Meanwhile, her son was with her nanny at the mall which is also near to their company. While Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
she was talking with her parents, her phone suddenly rang. She excused herself for a while just to
answer the call.
Eliza Calling .....
Her forehead furrowed after she saw that her son's nanny was calling. "Hello Eliza, why did you get
called?" She asked after answering.
She did not hear an answer from the other line that makes her repeat the question just in case the
speaker had simply not heard. "M-ma'am, i-it was---" the nanny stammered. She got suddenly nervous
when she heard Eliza stutter.
She felt there's something off with the nanny. "Could you please Eliza speak straight? I can't
understand you. What's going on in there?" She asked irritably.
"M-maam, Storm was---"
"What? What happened? Where's Storm?" She asked quickly.
"H-he's missing."
"What?!" After hearing what the nanny says, her heart beats triple faster than unusual. Her body got
frozen and she felt an ice bucket pour on her head. "Text me the place where you are located. I'm
going there." She quickly dropped the call and hurried out of the office. Her parents called her but she
seemed deaf and didn't even pay attention to it.
All she could think of that time was her son, her son was missing. She also knew that her parents
followed her. She went to the mall quickly as the nanny texted to her. The mall was not far from where
she came from. After she arrived at the mall, she saw Eliza whose face was pale with extreme
nervousness. She immediately approached the nanny. "Eliza, what happened? Where is my son?" The
first question she asked was to the nanny.
"M-ma'am, he's just here. I'm just looking at the surroundings for a moment then when I am going to
averted my gaze to him, he was nowhere to see,"
"Come on, Eliza! I hired you to take care of my son and now you're telling me that he was missing?
What kind of care did you do, huh?" She asked in frustration.
She could no longer hide her feelings. She vents her anger to the nanny due to extreme worrying
about her son. Eliza started to cry because she didn't know what to do. For almost a year of being a
nanny to Storm, she considered this child as well, motherhood is important to her so she was very
worried about the child.
Jewel was almost fainted by what happened while her parents talked to customer service and other
mall staff to help them find Storm. It took them almost a few hours and they still couldn't see the child.
The other staff and security guard also searched around the mall but couldn't really see Storm. Jewel
now feels so much worried for her child. Even if she has shortcomings with her son, it is undeniable
that she loves Storm unconditionally. Even though she often becomes busy and unable to bond with
the child she knows in herself that everything she does is for the child's future.
She knew her son was smart and it wouldn’t just disappear like that if no one kidnapped him. The
nervousness she felt got more intensified. She was thinking what if someone kidnapped her son? And
what's the motive? They are still here at the mall and waiting for the news, later on the mall staff
approached where they were sitting.
"Ms Jewel, we just want to inform you that until now we don't have any updates about your son. Our
staff still haven't seen him here inside the mall. " The manager apologized.
"Damn it! You need to find my son! I won't go home until I'm with my son. He's gone here so I know
he's just here. "she cried.
Earlier, she was trying to hold back her tears. She doesn’t want to be weak in front of other people,
especially in front of her parents but in this situation, she could no longer hide her feelings. "Calm down
Jewel. We will do our best to find Storm, okay?" A police friend of his father assured her. The police
talked to his parents for a while.
Later, they approached her. "We need to go home now, they will take care of finding Storm. We need
to wait 24 hours." Carefully spoken of her father. At first, she didn't want to agree but she didn't do
anything yet.
She just sat on the sofa when they arrived at their house. "This is your fault Jewel. If you had just been
hands on with your son it wouldn't have happened. He wouldn't have disappeared." Suddenly, her
mother spoke up.
"What? Why do you seem to blame me for what happened, mom? Am I the one who lost my son?" She
answered in annoyance.
"As far as I remember, do you want to leave him here and go back to Canada? Look now, your son is
missing. This is what you want right? To cut your son in your path." Her mother emphasized.
"Say whatever you want to say mom. I'm tired of arguing with you. I'm only worried about Storm right
now. If you think I want my child gone, no it's not. I still have a heart and it never crosses my mind to
pray to lose my child. I'm a bad mother in your eyes but I don't want any bad things to happen to my
son." She said and climbed upstairs. She did not like what her own mother told her. She feels she is to
blame for the missing of her child.
