Chapter 57 Kissed Her
Julian looked displeased and said to Annalise, “I’m going out for a while.”
He took a few skewers of meat again and went to the door.
When he saw his father at the door, he did not say a word and instead grilled the meat.
“Look at you now. You don’t look like a young master at all.” Tony was furious when he saw Julian’s expression.
“What should a young master look like?” Julian asked coldly. “So a young master doesn’t need to shit or fart?” “You!” Tony flew into a rage. He felt that if this went on, he would die from anger one day.
“Is Annalise inside?” Tony asked.
In the kitchen.
Annalise quickly took the clay pot off the fire and covered it with a pile of firewood.
Then, she quickly placed the remaining medicinal ingredients into the medicine jar and added water to it before boiling it.
She felt that she was really too prescient and well prepared to not expose herself.
As long as Julian didn’t say anything, no one would ever know.
She did not know why she refined medicine in front of Julian.
She probably felt that he was reliable.
There was a voice in her heart that told her that he would not betray or hurt her.
Even if they were going to be divorced in three months, he would never put her in danger.
How could someone who didn’t care about the priceless ancestral bracelet but cared about her when the bracelet was almost shattered hurt her?
Of course, she had also left herself a way out.
If Julian had evil intentions because she knew how to refine pills, she would make sure that he would never be able to find her again in this life.
“Does it have anything to do with you?” Julian looked at Tony coldly.
“Annalise, get out here!” Tony shouted toward the kitchen.
“Tony Parks, mind your own business. Don’t meddle in mine. I have never criticized your woman, so what right do you have to criticize mine?” Julian was furious and shouted at Tony.
This was the first time Julian had shouted at Tony like this.
In the past, when the father-and-son duo argued, Julian had never spoken so loudly. At most, he would only retort coldly.
Tony was so angry that he raised his hand and slapped Julian’s face.
It wasn’t that Julian couldn’t avoid it, but he didn’t want to.
After being slapped, he looked coldly at the man who was his father. “Do you feel better? If you don’t, you can continue hitting me! You gave me life, so you can hit me, but please remember that the one who gave birth to me after ten months of pregnancy was my mother, the woman who lost her life because of you!”
“You brat!” Tony was so angry that he raised his hand again to slap Julian.
The next moment, someone grabbed his wrist.
This scene shocked everyone.
Annalise had rushed out of the kitchen and grabbed Tony’s wrist.
When Abigail saw this, she started enjoying the show. She screamed excitedly in her heart, “Hit her! Beat her to death!”
Julian’s heart trembled as he watched the seemingly weak Annalise exert strength.
She was such a skinny girl, but she actually fought Tony head-on for him.
Annalise swung Tony’s hand away, which caused him to stagger backward.
She retorted indifferently, “What kind of father hits their own son? Why don’t you try and do as you please somewhere else?”
She had never been involved in anyone’s family matters.
She knew very well that even an honest official could not resolve family matters, let alone her.
However, she really couldn’t bear to see Tony shouting or scolding Julian every day.
Parents could remarry, but why couldn’t they care about their children after remarrying?
“Are you satisfied now? Are you satisfied now that you’ve turned us against each other? You’re a jinx and a calamity! Get out of the Parks family immediately!” Tony was so angry that he roared at Annalise. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
Julian grabbed Annalise’s hand and pulled her behind him to protect her. He said coldly, “No one has the right to tell my wife to get lost.”
“Well, isn’t that great?” Tony Parks was indignant. He pushed Annalise aside and strode toward the kitchen.
Julian immediately held Annalise. His pupils constricted when he thought of the pills in the kitchen.
“It’s fine.” Annalise pulled him aside and told him not to worry.
“Dad, don’t be rash.” Alexander followed him into the kitchen.
Bang!
Tony kicked over the grill, causing sparks to fly.
Seeing that there was still a medicine jar on the fire, he rushed over, picked it up, and smashed it to the ground before leaving.
Was she brewing medicine to please Samuel? Was she even worthy?
“Apologize!” Julian snapped when Tony reached the door.
Tony only glared at Julian angrily before storming off.
As soon as Tony and the others left, Julian immediately asked Annalise, “Did you keep those pills?”
‘Not yet,” Annalise said.
Julian’s expression changed.
Annalise strode toward the kitchen. Julian quickly followed.
Annalise pried open the firewood, took out the clay pot, and lifted the lid.
Seeing the round and plump pills, Julian heaved a sigh of relief.
Annalise took the pieces of paper that were previously wrapped with traditional medicine and laid them on the ground one by one. Then, she folded them and pressed hard on the creases. After repeating that a few times, she easily tore the paper into small squares. She took out the pills from the clay pot next and wrapped them with the paper one by one.
She had just wrapped more than ten pills when her hand was grabbed by Julian.
Annalise subconsciously looked at Julian. Seeing the mixed feelings in his eyes, her heart trembled slightly.
“Why did you do that just now?” Julian asked.
Annalise felt a lump in her throat.
Why?
When she was young, she was sent to distant relatives by her uncle, and they often beat and scolded her.
Every time she was beaten and scolded, she hoped that someone would descend from the sky and save her.
Therefore, when she saw that Tony was about to attack Julian, she stopped him without hesitation.
People who had been drenched in the rain would always hold umbrellas for others.
Suddenly, Annalise felt something warm on her lips.
Realizing that Julian had kissed her, her eyes widened.
The next moment, he hugged her waist and pulled her into his arms. He held her waist with one hand and the
back of her head with the other. He kissed her lips passionately…
Annalise’s heart was pounding wildly. She did not respond to his kiss, nor did she push him away.
She was stunned.
After a long while, he let go of her.
He whispered into her ear, “Because of you, my world is filled with warmth.”
Annalise had mixed feelings. Her heart was still a mess. She felt that their current relationship was too ambiguous. She immediately said, “It’s getting late. Let’s go back first. We still have to give the pills to Samuel tomorrow.”
“Annie, let me hug you!” Julian hugged Annalise tightly.
Annalise felt Julian’s strength. It was as if he was a helpless child holding on to whatever warmth he could get.
She couldn’t help but reach out to hug him and pat his back.
She hugged him, sending warmth to him and to herself.
