Chapter 10 She’s Fired
In the evening, a Rolls–Royce pulled over slowly in front of the Lewis house.
The housekeeper ushered Boris into the house.
“Mr. Boris, you’re back.” Carrier greeted him and informed him, “Old Mr. Lewis is waiting for you in the study upstairs. He’s very angry. I guess that’s because he saw the insults to the young madam on the Internet.”
Boris corrected Carrier, “She is not your young madam anymore. I had divorced her.”
Carrier opened her mouth in embarrassment. In fact, she really liked Ziana, who was beautiful and kind, much better than Vivi.
Boris went upstairs without waiting for Carrier to say more. The door to the study was not closed, so he pushed it open and walked inside quietly.
“Hi, Grandpa.”
Zezili snorted heavily and turned the laptop to Boris. It was the long article in which Ziana was described as a vain woman pretending to be rich.
“My granddaughter–in–law is now on the trending topic. It’s not good for her. You settle it for her.”
Boris collected himself and reminded Zezili, “Grandpa, we had been divorced, and I have no obligation to help her.”
“Divorced? Do I agree to your divorce?” Zezili asked with a sneer, “Have you asked me for my opinion?”
Boris was irritated, but he stifled his anger and said, “When I got married, you didn’t ask for my
opinion!”
“Is your opinion important?” Zezili said quietly, “It’s a blessing that Ziana took a fancy to you. married you. You should be grateful for that. Instead, you’re not contented with your marriage. What opinion do you have?”
Boris once again doubted whether he was a Lewis.
Was Ziana actually Zezili’s granddaughter?
Why did his grandfather unconditionally believe and support Ziana no matter what happened during the past three years? Zezili was his grandfather, not Ziana’s.
and
Boris tugged at his tie and sat down across from Zezili. “Grandpa, what is Ziana’s background? Why do you always side with her?”
“She is my granddaughter–in–law. Who else should I side with?” Zezili warned him seriously, “I
advise you to treat her better, or you will regret it in the future.”
Boris found it absurd.
Why would he regret it?
He didn’t like Ziana!
Boris went straight to the point. “I’m talking about her background. Some people appear…”
“Why do you ask me about your own wife?” Zezili interrupted him and snorted sullenly. “How unusual! You finally want to know more about your wife after marrying her for several years.
Boris rubbed his forehead helplessly. “Grandpa…”
“Don’t ask me. If you’re so curious, you can investigate it yourself.” Zezili thought of something and said in a deep voice, “That Vivi can only enter our family over my dead body. I have only one granddaughter–in–law, and that’s Ziana!”
Zezili was firm about that at the mention of Vivi.
If it weren’t for Zezili, Boris would have wedded Vivi long ago.
Boris pressed his lips and said indifferently, “I got it. Grandpa. If you don’t have anything else to say, I’ll leave first and won’t disturb your rest.”
Zezili waved at him. When Boris turned to leave, Zezili stopped him. “Ziana posted a video. Come
and watch it.”
Boris said inwardly, “What does Ziana’s video have to do with me? I don’t want to watch it at all!”
Boris turned sullen, but he forced himself to go to the desk for the sake of his grandfather.
Zezili instructed him, “I can’t watch this video. Hurry up. Fix it for me now.”
Only then did Boris realize that he had to pay to watch the video.
What video was that?
Did Ziana think she was a fairy?
Tik Tok was a free platform for short videos. Although a paid video mode was launched some time ago, basically, no one used it. This function was regarded as an ornament, and everyone almost forgot about it. However, Ziana actually used it. Why did she think people would be so foolish as to pay to watch her video when her scandals spread far and near?
“Hurry up! I want to make comments and give her a like.” Zezili urged him.
Boris was speechless. Some people actually paid to watch the video.
With a cold face, Boris couldn’t help speeding up. After paying the money, the blurry scene gradually became clear.
The slender woman was facing him sideways with a beautiful angle. It was dark outside the window, and the light and shadow inside the car were romantic. She was shining in the dark.
The wind blew her long hair up, and she looked like a fairy about to fly away at a certain moment. Suddenly, she seemed to notice the camera and turned her head.
Boris saw Ziana’s face in close–up on the screen. She looked innocent and simple, like a fawn that was found after running out of the mountains.
At this moment, the naive girl suddenly blinked and smiled. Her innocence and purity disappeared, and she looked charming and seductive.
The video ended abruptly.
Boris’s throat went dry. When he subconsciously wanted to watch it again, he was pushed away.
“Go away. I’m going to leave a comment for Ziana. Go back to sleep.”
Boris nodded and left the study silently.
When he got in the car, he couldn’t help thinking of the woman he had seen in the video just now. Did she try to seduce someone by posting such a video?
How long had they divorced? Couldn’t she bear the loneliness? Was she so eager to enchant men?
little
“Mr. Lewis,” Nell suddenly reported, “I’ve investigated the young madam, but I got very information. I only know she comes from Linde City. I don’t have any other information about her. It seems that her information has been deliberately erased.”
“Couldn’t you even find the information about her family?”
“No.”
Nell was Boris best assistant. He was almost the best at hacking.
Even Nell failed to get the information about Ziana. It could be seen that her identity was
mysterious.
Boris lowered his eyes and casually tapped his fingers on the screen. “I Got it. How is the post?”
Nell cleared his throat softly and said, “They were criticizing the young madam, but she posted a video later. Mr. Lewis, have you seen the video?”
“No.” Boris cleared his throat uneasily.
Boris clicked Tik Tok and saw Ziana’s video being recommended on the home page.
He neatly paid, played, and downloaded the video. After that, he read the comments.
One hundred thousand comments had been made within half an hour.
[She’s gorgeous!]
[She’s stunning!]
[I can’t take my eyes off her face. I’ll download the video and watch it one hundred times every day!]
[A stunning beauty like Ziana won’t go to the bathroom, will she?]
“What kind of nonsense are these comments?” Boris asked with a frown.
Nell said cautiously, “They are all praising Mrs. Lewis‘ stunning beauty. The post seems to be losing attention…”
“Make her video disappear.” Boris ordered, “Spread the post.”
Zezili asked him to help deal with this post. Boris didn’t say no, but he would delay it for a while.
If Ziana couldn’t pull it through, she’d better leave the chaotic industry and get back to her
mountain to be a bumpkin.
After Ziana posted the video, she never appeared again.
However, the netizens fought against each other on the Internet because of her, and the tension
intensified. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
The netizens split into two groups. One group was admirers of Ziana’s beauty. They took screenshots of the video and turned the pictures into trending topics.
The other group was Ziana’s haters. They ridiculed her for pretending to be rich by wearing fake designer brands and caused trouble everywhere. On the official websites of Gl Brand and Wander Coco, the haters suggested the companies sue Ziana and ask for compensation. At the same time, they gathered at the TV station and demanded Love 101 fire Ziana.
The haters were unexpectedly aggressive as if there was someone behind them. When they saw GI Brand and Wander Coco didn’t respond, they launched a boycott campaign.
When Love 101 didn’t take any action, the haters filed a complaint, asking to cancel the program.
The director didn’t want to fire Ziana, who offered a breaking trending topic.
But if he turned a blind eye to the complaint, the program he had prepared for many days might be
canceled.
Afraid of being dragged down by Ziana, the director had no choice but to make a statement.
[Love 101 has decided to immediately terminate all cooperation with Miss Scott because of her personal conduct.]
