Then his father decided to travel for 5-10years to sweep all those under the carpet.
“Why must I always clean their mess and now they want to turn my life into a mess”.
“Oh good morning boy” Mr Reynolds laughed and hugged Alex
“How was your trip dad?”
“Oh fine, thank you, but that wasn’t a trip, was like an isolation, I’ve been alone for 6years, it was hard”
“Well, I have works to do at the office but decided to see you and mum before I leave” Mrs Reynolds walks in as he speaks, but he continued, “Claire is pregnant and she carries my baby, I need to take care of her, I’m getting married to Claire, I thought you should know so you can participate in it” Alex took his keys and took steps walking out of the room
“Son, marriage is not that easy, it’s not something you rush into, I’m not saying no but let’s do this, let’s sign a contract that states that the family treasure remains within the family no matter what and that she doesn’t have right to anything not originally given to her, I feel that will make her show her true colors for the main time, or what do you think?” Mr James explains and Mrs Reynolds nodded in affirmation
“So, when will that happen because she’s pregnant and I have to take care of her” Alex said
“Take it to her and have her sign it” the father stretched a file to Alex, he took it and left the room
“What do you want to do now” Daniel said as they walked to the car.
“I will have her sign it”.
***At the hospital***
“How do you feel now? I’m sorry for these stress, you are now pregnant, the doctor said so, and right now you need to sign these contracts” he placed the file beside her
Claire could tell that he is scared on the inside as he couldn’t lock eyes with her, she could understand that her hopes were just high for nothing and she feels bad, but she opened the file and went through it..

Claire signed the contract and Alex called his parents, she signed it but I’m keeping it, hope no problem with that, without waiting for a response he cut the call and gave the file back to Claire
“This is my 5th request, guard this with your life, also I will make a transfer of $1million to your account settle all you intend to settle, I will pick you up in 2hrs time
He kissed her and left the room.
This is going with high speed, she doesn’t even know when all these started but right now all she needs is rest and also sit tight for she doesn’t know what she’ll face

Her thoughts began to ride her mind, her mum is currently abroad, far away from her, Alex says she’s fine, she gets to believe she’s fine.
Grace is off grid with her lover, she has her life to live, “it seems I am alone in this, my decisions will affect a lot of things, I will stay until I have my mum back on her feet and this child in me we will decide what happens when that time comes”.
“Are you ready” Alex voice brought her back from her thoughts, “oh yeah I am”
She stood up and started picking some of her things, “oh leave that, Juliet will do that, let’s go”
Juliet is one of the maid in the house a young girl, I believe she’s the youngest, Alex is fond of her education, she tops her class, she’s a classy one, she’s a maid who still schools.
“Evening ma’am” Daniel said and left the keys to Alex.”how are you feeling right now?”
Claire couldn’t answer immediately but her body signals proves that she’s confused, “should I answer that I am fine or ask why he calls me Ma’am”
“It’s been a while” Claire responded Daniel nodded and left them there
***At Alex’Apartment
“I don’t want you to feel stuffed or feel like you are been watched, and also no one can give you issues, I will find a way to annul the contract, you just keep it safe”

Alex took his keys went for the car, “hello, Meet me at the hospital, the contract is there, it mustn’t be seen” he said to Daniel on phone
“Juliet will be with it by now…”
He drove off after hanging the call, on getting there Juliet is outside and ready to leave with the driver, “wait” did you see or arrange any file…” Alex asked
“No sir, only utensils and change of cloth” Juliet said and step out of the car
“Follow me” Alex ran into the hospital and Daniel followed him “you are here already” Daniel said.
“Check the CCTV bro” Alex said and head straight to the room and combed every nook and cranny, but couldn’t find a thing.
