The Ceo’s Convict Wife by Jennifer Mike

Chapter 1200

Chapter 1200

“What about the kids?” she questioned

“Gary will take care of them. Besides, there are so many housekeepers at home. I’ll bring the two children with me if you’re still uneasy.” He knew their other child wouldn’t want to join them even if he wanted to bring him to Lommore.

Jonathan’s head ached at the thought of how that boy was so attached to Karina.

He was flabbergasted by how irrationally his son was fixated on Karina. It had gone beyond a sibling-like relationship, and he wondered if it was just a childhood phase or would persist for a long time.

“Lommore is Wyatt’s territory. Hence, remember to greet him once you’re there so that things will go smoothly,” Jonathan reminded.

“Well, I can take this opportunity to visit Felix,” Rosalie uttered.

Jennifer instantly made a fuss when she heard that Rosalie was going to Lommore the following day. “I want to go to! Mommy, you should bring me along so I can visit Felix!”

“You’re not having any holidays right now and as such won’t be able to attend kindergarten if you go to Lommore. Guille will then have to go to kindergarten all on his own.” Rosalie deliberately painted a pathetic picture of her eldest son. “Do you wish for Guille to attend kindergarten alone every day?”

Guillermo was about to speak up about how he didn’t mind that one as that was how things were before Rosalie and Jennifer returned, w Jonathan pulled him aside, saying, “All right. I’ll bring both of you to Lommore later during the weekends to see Mommy and Felix.”

Jennifer only nodded her tiny head in approval after deeming it a satisfactory suggestion. However, she still requested Rosalie to inform Felix that she would see him in a few days and pass him the frog she’d just learned to fold from colored paper.

Jennifer delivered the paper frog to Rosalie solemnly as if it were of grea import. Rosalie saw that Felix’s name was written on the back of it in colored pencil with Jennifer’s wobbly and crooked handwriting.

Rosalie smiled mildly and carefully kept the paper frog. “Okay, I will

surely hand this to Felix. Why don’t you teach him how to fold it when you and Guillermo come to Lommore?”

“Okay!” Jennifer answered loudly.

Rosalie packed her luggage and departed for Lommore at noon with Warren and Amelia.

They opted to drive there as Amelia’s physical condition wasn’t suitable for her to take a flight.

Warren asked the driver to drive an RV so that it’d be more convenient for Amelia to rest during the journey.

Amelia was concerned on the way as none of the information about Riley she’d seen from the psychiatric hospital was positive.

“Come now, don’t fret. We will reach there in three hours and understand what’s going on once we see Riley,” Rosalie reassured her.

Riley’s identity had caught Rosalie by surprise. Riley used to be the eldest daughter of the Summer family in Lommore, who’d unfortunately ended up imprisoned for 14 years as she was guilty of embezzling her company’s fund. She returned to the Summer residence to compete for authority after being released. Yet she got admitted into a psychiatric hospital just as she was on the cusp of succeeding by her family members claiming that she had an unsound mind and had stayed there for 14 years.

According to the information they’d secretly searched for from the psychiatric hospital, Riley’s family consistently paid her visits and didn’t abandon her after admitting her.

Nowadays, no one in Lommore would have doubted that the eldest daughter of the Summer family had a mental disorder.

Nevertheless, the timing at which Riley had gotten admitted to the psychiatric hospital was too much of a coincidence, according to the timeline. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

After all, the shareholders’ meeting took place several days after. Riley would have likely succeeded in competing for authority based on her performance that year. Alas, she was diagnosed as mentally unsound at such a crucial juncture, with her half-sister marrying her fiancé after that

The one who gained the most from everything appeared to be her half-sister, Harriet.

Rosalie had naturally conducted a background check on Harriet while searching for information.

Harriet’s life was like a fairytale compared to Riley’s tragic one, as she’d married her former brother- in-law, Zephyr, and had a son with him.

The car drove to Lommore and arrived at Riley’s psychiatric hospital.

They were turned down by the hospital staff when they asked for permission to visit Riley.

“Apologies, but no one else is allowed to visit the patient except for her family.”

“But I’m her friend of more than ten years,” Amelia replied hastily.

The staff member insisted, “These are our hospital rules.”

Rosalie’s brows furrowed slightly. The relatives of patients would typically reach an agreement with the hospital to determine who was allowed to visit. Evidently, the Summer family didn’t want any outsiders dropping in on Riley.

Warren flipped out his phone right then and dialed a number. “Yes, Mr. Wilson. I’m at your hospital right now. My wife has an old friend of more than ten years she’d like to meet who’s admitted here. However, she isn’t able to do so since she isn’t part of her family… Okay… Thank you.”

Shortly after, the attitude of the staff toward the three of them underwent a 180 after receiving a call. “While you’re not permitted to visit the patient, Mr. Wilson asked me to bring you to tour the facility. Please follow me.”

The so-called “tour” was just a guise for them to visit Riley briefly.

Amelia gazed at Warren gratefully, “Thank you.”

“I hope you can control your emotions no matter what happens later. Please remember the state your body is in right now,” Warren advised.

“Okay. I’ll keep that in mind,” Amelia guaranteed promptly.

The trio trailed behind the staff as they navigated the sick wards. Amelia was sandwiched between Rosalie and Warren as a protective measure.

Riley’s sick ward was in the VIP section of the hospital. The patients there had a room to their own and were relatively independent. Each ward was fixed with a transparent glass window, which enabled doctors and nurses

to observe each patient’s condition.

They were nearing Riley’s ward when the mocking laughter of a woman abruptly erupted from within. “What a pathetic state you’re in now, Riley. This is what the former glorified eldest daughter of the Summer family wound up as. It’s such a shame that everyone in Lommore has forgotten about you. Even reporters that leap at the sign of gossip don’t even bother to poke their noses into your business anymore.”
