Chapter 10 Be Mrs. Palmer
Chapter 10 Be Mrs. Palmer
Late at night, in a luxurious bedroom, the two just finished making love.
Joanna was lying in Sebastian's arms. She felt that Sebastian's mind was a little messy today. Maybe that was because he had met Lilian.
That damn woman had occupied her position as Mrs. Palmer for three years!
Viciousness had been under her drooping eyelids since she heard the fresh news.
"Sebastian, one of my girlfriends accompanied her boyfriend to buy a yacht yesterday. She said she saw Archibald Hawkins there."
"Archibald Hawkins? His family is well-off. It's no big deal for him to buy a yacht," Sebastian said as if he didn't care, but he did feel a little uncomfortable.
A yacht?
"I didn't take it as a big deal at first, but she said Archibald Hawkins bought one of the biggest yachts just for dating the shopping guide," Joanna said as she looked at Sebastian, "The shopping guide’s name was Lilian. Her is a radio station hostess in effect."
She saw Sebastian's face froze and turned gloomy.
"What did you say?"
"I didn't believe it, either., but my girlfriend said she got on his yacht just for a high commission." Joanna didn't dare to look at his angry face.
Sebastian sat up abruptly with a vicious look in his eyes. Now he knew why Lilian didn’t wait for him in the house and hung up his phone... she had dated and had a good night with Archibald!
Seeing the fury in Sebastian's eyes, Joanna patted him on the chest.
"Please don't be mad. It may not be her. There are too many people sharing a same name in the world."
"The same name and the same job? What a coincidence!" Sebastian snorted coldly.
He didn't care what Lilian did, and he had no feelings for her. However, since she took the tittle as his wife, he wouldn't allow her to have an affair with other men.
Joanna rolled her eyes. She noticed the man's mood changes and said, "Sebastion, now that she means nothing to you and your marriage only bring you annoyance. Why don't you get a divorce?"
Sebastian narrowed his eyes when he heard that. He squinted at Joanna, looking unpredictable. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
Joanna felt numb on her skull when being stared at by him in that way. She thought she had said something wrong. Before she had done something to make an amendment, Sebastian said in a low voice, "My marriage is not my decision, or I wouldn't have started this in the first place."
Joanna's eyes suddenly lit up. She knew that given chance, he would divorce Lilian.
"Sebastian, your grandfather threatened you into this marriage with his life, but now that he's dead, why do you still care? She had been married to you for two years and still bear no kid. Your parents would support you to divorce her for the sake of your family." Joanna told him the truth.
Sebastian looked calm. He somehow felt annoyed when the other woman told him to divorce Lilian. He killed the cigarette butt in the ashtray, and then pushed Joanna away from him. Then he stood up and started to dress him up.
Joanna realized that he didn't want her to interfere with his family business. Seeing he had already put on his shirt and ready to leave, she rushed over and put her hand around his waist from behind.
She put her face on his back and begged, "It's my fault. It's none of my business. Please stay with me tonight, OK?"
Sebastian paused. In the old days, he would surrender upon hearing her begging him, but this time was different. He frowned and pulled away from her hand off his waist.
"I've got things to do, and I have to leave now," he said and picked up the suit in the locker. Then he took out an exquisite gift box from his pocket.
"This is a gift for you." He put in box in her hand and left with the outfit in his arms.
"Sebastian..." Joanna muttered. He watched the man left without looking back. Resentment filled her eyes.
The door was locked. He was really gone. Joanna stood there, barefoot. Coldness crawled along her legs and onto her body. Her finger joint paled because of a firm grip.
Snapped! She suddenly smashed the gift box on the ground. The box opened and let out a shining crystal bracelet.
"I don't want this damn gift!" He always tried to buy her with those gifts, but what she really wanted was him.
"Lillian, I would never let you have him!"
She must let him divorce her. She wanted to be Mrs. Palmer!
