Joanna’s face turned ashen in an instant.
Did M block her? She was Joanna Lowell! How could he do that to her?
She attempted to send messages to M, but there was only one tick. Every time she tried, her phone. froze up.
What was happening?
Millie, on the other hand, was still looking at Joanna’s phone.
Seeing that, Joanna quickly turned her screen away, refusing to let Millie have another look.
In the next second, Joanna called her assistant and asked, “Why can’t I contact M?”
“Ms. Lowell, did you offend M?”
“What do you mean?” Joanna bit her lip.
Her assistant explained, “Ms. Lowell, y–you’ve been blacklisted in the black market! M said that from now on, nobody can take your orders. If they do, they’d be in his bad books!”
Joanna’s face darkened after hearing that. What did this mean?
“Ms. Lowell, this is bad… We won’t be able to get the Snowdrop anymore.”
Joanna slumped onto the couch, completely in a daze.
But she had not offended M! Wasn’t it M who had been standing her up?

She glared at Millie, seemingly about to break down, and bellowed. “Get lost!”
Millie suppressed her laughter. She could not help but think that Joanna was truly foolish.
M had stood her up the night before, a clear indication that he did not want to meet her. So, how could Joanna be so silly as to show up again the next day?
“It’s okay, Joanna. After all, he’s M, not someone we ordinary folks can meet. Don’t be sad, okay?” Millie pretended to comfort Joanna.
However, Joanna was even more furious after hearing that.

“Alright, you’re not an ordinary folk.” Millie chuckled helplessly. She picked up her bag while comforting Joanna, “It’s fine if you don’t get to meet M. You’ve gotten the Snowdrop anyway.”

more Millie reassured her, the more agitated Joanna became. She even suspected that Millie was doing it on purpose.
Joanna had not met M, nor had she gotten her hands on the Snowdrop. And now, she was blacklisted in the black market.

“Ms. Lowell, I’ll see you at Mrs. Greer Senior’s birthday party.”
With that, Millie quickly left the private room.
Consumed by rage, Joanna’s mouth hung open as she stared at the closed door.

Joanna felt her scalp tingle after reading the news. It was as if she had been electrocuted, her face drained of color.

Joanna’s phone rang. It was Logan Lowell, son of the Lowell family and Joanna’s brother.
She quickly answered the call.
On the other end of the line, Logan’s voice was calm. “Jo, did you get the Snowdrop?”
Joanna bit her lip.
Logan continued, “That’s great! Looks like you’ll marry into the Greer family soon. I have another call. We’ll talk later.”
With that, he hung up.
Joanna was left speechless, mouth agape. Before she could utter a word, her father’s call came through.
