Joanna stood there, momentarily stunned. Instinctively, she reached out for Winston’s arm, only to miss her grasp.

Millie observed Winston’s actions intently. He smoothly adjusted his shirt and casually glanced in her direction.

“Logan,” Winston called out as he saw Logan approaching.

Logan nodded and hummed in response. Then, he stood in front of Joanna.

*Joanna is still unwell. Please take her back to the hospital. There are many people attending the event today. It could potentially worsen her condition if anything happens.” Winston’s authoritative voice resonated deeply as he decisively conveyed his instructions.

Joanna glanced at Winston. Then, she averted her gaze at Millie, who was conversing with Rachel nearby.

She anxiously bit her lip, then gestured toward Millie and asked, “Do you want me to leave because she’s here?” Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

“No,” replied Winston.

Joanna smiled and then asked with teary eyes, “Win, did you truly mean it?”

Winston frowned and replied seriously, Joanna, be obedient.”

She laughed and stared at Winston. Tears streamed down her face as she struggled to contain her emotions. She asked, “Are you bullying me just because I’m too obedient?”

Winston ignored her and glanced at Logan, urging him to deal with his sister himself. Although Logan supported Joanna’s courageous pursuit of love, causing a scene at this event was inappropriate. The last thing they needed was unwanted media attention.

Just a few days ago, news had spread of Winston having an affair with Joanna. The Lowell family had worked tirelessly to contain the scandal.

For the past few days, both the Greer and Lowell familles had been keeping a low profile, determined to avoid any further mishaps.

“Let’s go back to the hospital.” Logan held Joanna’s hand.

Joanna rejected. “I’m not going back!”

She asked stubbornly, “You’ve already divorced Millie, why can’t you openly acknowledge me as your partner? We both love each other. Why can’t we just go with the flow?”

Joanna grabbed–Winston’s arms firmly and added urgently, “Can’t we just announce our relationship officially at today’s event?

Occasionally, there were a few curious glances from passersby. At that moment, Millle also looked up.

Instantly, Joanna embraced Winston tightly, facing Mille. Their eyes met by chance, and a smirk

appeared on Joanna’s face, concealing her animosity toward Millie from the others.

Meanwhile, Millie stared at the affectionate couple in the distance, her heart sinking.

“What’s Joanna doing? Is she trying to force Winston?” Jake couldn’t comprehend the situation.

Rachel crossed her arms, her eyes filled with murderous intent. She longed for a superpower that could make the bitch vanish.

“It seems to be raining outside,” Millie stated suddenly.

Rachel calmly observed the weather outside and remarked, “Oh, it looks like we’re in for a bit of rain today. It’s probably just a light drizzle and will stop soon.”

“Yeah.” Millie nodded. She approached the floor–to–ceiling window and gazed out at the view of Yerwick, lost in thought.

“Alas. Your ex–husband is flaunting his love for that bitch, and you’re just standing here, looking out the window.” Rachel shook her head.

She was perplexed about Millie’s behavior. She wondered whether she truly did not care or if she was simply pretending to be calm.

“What else can I do? Join them?” Millie chuckled.

Rachel pouted. “It works too! You go join them now.”

Millie mentioned it in jest, but Rachel took it seriously and asked her to do it. She must be out of her mind.

“Go and ask Winston whether he prefers you or Joanna Rachel advised.

Millie pouted. “He’ll definitely choose Joanna. She’s his dream lover.”
