Madison was frustrated with Rachel’s sarcastic response. The two locked eyes, their gazes

intense.

“Rachel, Madison, look over here,” a photographer called out suddenly. Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

They immediately stood side by side, hand in hand, beaming at the photographer.

Millie was completely speechless. She figured this must be the epitome of an actor’s self- cultivation. However, Madison was still a long way from reaching Rachel’s level.

Rachel’s tassel dress radiated an extraordinary shine, and even though Madison revealed more skin, it just wasn’t enough to match Rachel’s stunning presence. Standing side by side, Madison paled in comparison, unquestionably inferior.

Millie couldn’t help but think that if she were in Madison’s shoes, she would certainly be wise enough to steer clear of Rachel and avoid unnecessary trouble. Rachel’s presence was simply too radiant to handle.

“Rach, do you know that Mr. Webson is currently searching for a new endorser?” Madison

asked.

“No idea.” Rachel shook her head, pretending to be uninformed.

“You didn’t know?” Madison looked surprised.

However, before Rachel could respond, she smiled and declared, “It doesn’t matter if you’re

aware or not. This is mine.”

Rachel glanced at Madison.

Madison smiled and asked, “You’re not going to compete with me, right?”

Rachel couldn’t help but roll her eyes, thinking she was so pretentious. Rachel smiled, concealing her true feelings. “Well, I won’t compete for it.”

However, beneath her smile, she couldn’t help but think, “If Jake and I weren’t getting along, I would definitely fight for it.”

As soon as Madison finished speaking, she noticed Jake approaching from the side. He was holding a glass of champagne, with one hand casually in his pocket, walking relaxedly.

It was quite a contrast to Winston, who seemed serious and indifferent most of the time, adopting a work–focused attitude wherever he went. On the other hand, Jake appeared to be simply enjoying life.

Jake turned his head and caught sight of Rachel standing nearby. He walked toward her decisively.

However, as he drew nearer, he overheard Rachel’s words. “You guys carry on chatting. I’m going to find my friend.”

Jake was still walking when Rachel passed by him. She looked at him intensely as she

walked past.

He frowned upon seeing Rachel leave to find Millie. As he set his glass down and was about to follow her, Madison approached him. “Hello, Mr. Webson.”

He looked at her and asked, “Who are you?”

Madison was shocked and couldn’t believe that he didn’t know who she was. She explained gently, “Mr. Webson, I’m Madison Xanthos.”

Jake nodded. “Oh, hello. I don’t know you.”

Madison was rendered speechless.

“I need to talk to Rachel about something important. Have fun.” Jake smiled politely.

Madison immediately stopped him. “Mr. Webson, I have something important to discuss with you. Could you spare a moment to speak with me?”

“What’s it?” asked Jake.

“I understand that Webson Group is looking for an endorser, and I-”

Jake interrupted her and decisively rejected her offer. “I’m sorry, but I already have an endorser in mind. Unfortunately, it’s not you.”

Madison’s expression stiffened even more, and then she swallowed hard.

“You…” Madison intended to ask further, but she caught sight of Jake’s gaze fixated on Rachel.

Madison felt a bit anxious and cautiously asked, “Is your candidate Rachel?”

Jake surveyed Madison from head to toe. “Of course. Who else could possibly be more deserving than her to endorse the Webson Group?”

This sentence left Madison utterly speechless, especially considering how Jake scrutinized her from head to toe. It felt like she was being looked down upon.
