“The upcoming actress is Melanie Gardner, who recently starred in a low–budget online series. With her striking beauty, she effortlessly captivated the hearts of the audience.”
Millie stood behind a reporter, nibbling on a lollipop. She was listening to the reporter’s live broadcast introducing tonight’s guests.
“Rachel Shaw? Rachel hasn’t arrived yet,” the reporter said, glancing at the comments flooding the live broadcast.
“Rachel is reaching soon. Don’t worry, ladies.”
Millie glanced at the comments on her phone and couldn’t help but notice the overwhelming discussion about Rachel. Without a doubt, she truly had a large number of supporters.
“Mills, why are you here?” Her arm was suddenly grabbed.
Millie turned around, only to find Thomas standing there. After gazing at him from head to toe, she nodded in approval. He looked very charming in his black suit.
“Why are you wearing this to the entertainment industry’s party?” He pointed at her in disapproval.
Millie lowered her gaze to admire herself. She was wearing an elegant and graceful long black dress. Was there something amiss?
“You’re not wearing any jewelry and your lipstick isn’t bright enough. You’ll be outshone by all the other female celebrities,” he grumbled.
Millie expressed her dissatisfaction. “Uncle Thomas, you don’t want me to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, do you? I’m only here to accompany Rachel today.”
Thomas handed her a bright red lipstick and exclaimed, “Put it on and come in with me first.”
After all, she was the eldest daughter of the Caldwell family. He simply couldn’t bear the thought of her waiting outside with the paparazzi before the party even began.
“Even if you’re not pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, you can’t allow others to steal the spotlight,” muttered Thomas.
Millie sighed. Then, she heard a scream as she was about to follow Thomas into the hotel. ” Ah! Rachel!”
“Look over here, Rachel!”
Millie stopped abruptly and turned to look outside. The door of the sleek black car opened, and there emerged Rachel, adorned in a stunning long silver tassel dress.
Her makeup was flawless, with a bold red lipstick accentuating her beauty. She stepped out
in five–inch high heels, and her every movement exuded regal grace and confidence. Rachel’s camera presence was effortless, with a subtle smile that captivated the attention of everyone around her.
Millie couldn’t help but exclaim, “Rachel, you look absolutely stunning! Rachel, I love you!”
Perhaps due to Millie’s raised voice, the surrounding media flocked to take pictures of her. Rachel gazed at Millie, and her smile became even more radiant.
Thomas held his forehead in helplessness.
“Uncle Thomas, you should be happy to have such an amazing female celebrity in your company.” Millie nudged Thomas excitedly.
Thomas nodded. “Yes, you’re right.”
“Your contract with her will expire next year. You’ll be in trouble if she wants to terminate the . contract,” Millie mumbled.
Thomas snorted. “I don’t think she’ll terminate it.”
“Why not?” Millie glared at Thomas.
Thomas chuckled and replied gently, “If Rach truly wants to leave, then I’ll need your help to convince her to stay.”
“Don’t worry, Uncle Thomas,” Millie replied seriously.
Thomas knew his care for Millie was not in vain.
Unexpectedly, Millie continued, “If Rach really wants to leave, I’ll never try to stop her. The world outside is so big, she has to go explore more!”
Thomas was rendered speechless. Having Millie as his niece was truly a “blessing.”
20 minutes later, Rachel finally finished entertaining the media and met Millie in the lobby. Later, when they entered the banquet hall, Rachel would undoubtedly be surrounded by a crowd of people once again.
“Being a superstar is not easy,” Millie remarked sympathetically.
“Luckily you’re here with me.” Rachel smiled.

and exclaimed, “Reject the offer. I have no interest in her.”
The voice sounded vaguely familiar. Millie and Rachel turned and saw the person approaching.
