“Your grandma mentioned that he had been experiencing occasional heart pain for the past six months, but he didn’t take it seriously because it only happened occasionally.” Terrence’s voice trembled slightly.

“I’ll be.. right there.” Millie’s mind went blank. She could save other lives, but she lost her composure when Arthur became ill.

“Drive faster, Winston,” Millie reminded.

Winston glanced at her. He noticed her eyes were red, and tears were streaming down her face. She appeared visibly flustered.

Bifrost Hospital was 30 minutes away from the courthouse. Millie was stressed out by the traffic lights. She tried to relax by closing her eyes and taking deep breaths, but her heart wouldn’t calm

down.

She fervently prayed for Arthur to pull through. What would happen to their family if something happened to Arthur? She couldn’t bear the thought of life without him if something were to happen.

Just as Millie panicked, a warm hand suddenly held hers.

Winston gazed ahead, holding back his own emotions, and reassured Millie, “Millie, don’t worry. Arthur will be just fine.”

It would have been better if Winston hadn’t spoken to her. As soon as he finished talking, Millie felt even sadder.

“Don’t cry.” He frowned. He felt heartbroken when he saw Millie in tears.

Millie turned her head to gaze out of the window. He firmly grasped her hand and pressed on the gas pedal.

As Millie and Winston reached the hospital, they were greeted by many media reporters crowding the entrance. The moment Millie and Winston appeared, all the reporters swarmed around them, bombarding them with questions.

“What’s the current update inside?”

“Ms. Caldwell, why did Mr. Caldwell Senior suffer a sudden heart attack when he had always been in good health?”

Millie was in a hurry to see Arthur and didn’t have time to answer their questions, However, she was having trouble getting through the crowd.

“Why are you crying, Ms. Caldwell? Is Mr. Caldwell Senior not doing well?‘” one reporter asked the most pressing issue.

Millie was upset with the reporters, who seemed to want nothing but chaos. They were hoping that Arthur was in bad condition, weren’t they?

Winston noticed that Millie was overwhelmed with emotions. He held her hand and shielded her from

He whispered to her, “Millie, please don’t cry. The reporters might twist things because of your reaction. Arthur is ill, and your family is already in disarray. It could worsen if the Caldwell Group faces stock market fluctuations.”

After speaking, he glared at the reporters and delivered a firm message coldly, “Everyone, Mr. Caldwell Senior’s condition isn’t as dire as rumored. I’ll promptly update you all with the latest news. I implore you not to gather here and disrupt the order in the hospital.

When Winston spoke, the media reporters grew slightly apprehensive.

“Please, everyone, get out of the way. Thank you!” Winston firmly guided Millie inside. His calm demeanor provided a sense of reassurance to Millie’s uneasy heart.

Millie followed Winston closely, feeling even sadder as she watched him clearing the way for her. She followed him to the emergency room.

At the emergency room entrance, Terrence held Julia, tears streaming down her face. As he looked up, he was taken aback to see Winston approaching with Millie. Before any words could be exchanged, the emergency room door was opened.

Sebastian emerged, sweat glistening on his forehead. When he faced the Caldwell family and Winston, he was overwhelmed and found himself at a loss for words.

Millie grasped Winston’s arm and asked worriedly, “Dr. Lloyd, how’s my grandpa?”
