Chapter 371 New Company

On the second day,

Zain was going to work and Jack wanted to go with him. Jack woke up very early. Alice was woken up

by him and couldn’t fall asleep again. Then they got up together.

After getting the washing up, they went downstairs to have breakfast. Then Jack left with Zain.

When they started to leave, Zain said to Alice, “It’s still early. You can take a nap. Megan will come to

pick you up later.”

Hearing his words, Alice was surprised and asked, “Can I go to sleep now? I’m afraid that Megan will

come here as soon as I fall asleep.”

Zain smiled at her words. Then he said, “Don’t worry. She has works to do in the morning.”

Alice realized that Megan was busy this morning.

Now she could go back and have a good rest.

“Okay.”

Alice went upstairs to come back to sleep. When she passed by a room, the door was suddenly

opened and someone stretched out a hand and grasped her.

Alice was startled at first. Then she became surprised when she saw it was Alice.

She asked, “Yanis?”

“Do you still remember me? I thought that you have forgotten me these days.”

Yanis complained to her with her arms crossed. Her hair was in a mess and she looked terrible.

“What’s wrong with you? You’ve told me that you want to rest in the room because you’re sick. How

can I bother you?”

“You! You know that it is my excuse. Now you tease me!”

Alice raised an eyebrow and smiled. She said, “Take it easy. I won’t forget you. We need to visit a

company today. Just get back to get dressed, then we can eat breakfast together.”

“Breakfast? Zain…”

“Zain has gone to work. Don’t worry.”

Yanis stretched out her hand and held Alice’s arm instantly. She said, “Alice, you’re so kind to me. Now

I’ll go to change my clothes.”

“I’m not in a hurry. Remember to have breakfast when you go downstairs. We’ll go to the company

later. I need to take a rest now.”

She covered her mouth and yawned. Then she went back to her room.

When she woke up, it was near noon. She checked the time and wondered why Megan still hadn’t

come.

Alice went downstairs to see if Megan was there. Then she found that Megan was talking with Yanis

happily.

They looked at her when they heard the footsteps.

“Megan, when did you arrive here? Why don’t you let the maid wake me?”

Megan smiled and said gently, “Miss Alice, I have just been here for ten minutes.”

“Really?” Alice turned to look at Yanis. She nodded and said, “Yes. But Megan wouldn’t blame you if

you overslept.”

Alice was speechless.

She was a little embarrassed. Then she cleared her throat and said, “It’s noon now. Shall we have

lunch before going to the company?”

“Okay.” Megan smiled and nodded. Yanis also agreed with her.

When they got in the car, Yanis asked with her bag in her hand, “Which company are we going to?”

Megan said, “What? Haven’t Miss Alice told you that she will have a company?”

Hearing her words, Yanis very surprised. She looked at Alice with her eyes wide open.

She asked, “Alice, are you running your own business?”

Alice smiled helplessly. She shrugged and said, “I didn’t ask for it.”

Yanis didn’t say anything.

She knew that it was Zain who gave Alice a company.

Zain was very kind to Alice. He arranged all matters for her.

However, Alice was an adult.

She had her own thought and ideas. But she was treated like a child by Zain.

Although Alice felt helpless, she would accept his kindness.

After all, he was her brother and he had lost her for over twenty years.

Megan began to speak for Zain.

“I have to talk for Mr. Nelson. It will be helpful for Miss Alice’s career if she has her design team and

company. After all, it is a new environment for her. Mr. Nelson also wants Miss Alice to settle down and

have a family.”

Alice glanced at Megan and teased her.

“Megan, you’re a perfect assistant. Now you still talk for him.”

“Miss Alice, I just told the truth.”

Alice smiled and didn’t say anything.

Megan said, “Well, have you seen the profiles of your team members?”

“Profiles?” Alice was confused because of her words. Zain gave her the document of the company last

night. She hadn’t finished it.

Thinking of this, she took the document out of the bag of Yanis. When Megan saw the document, she

said, “Their profiles are at the end of it. You can check it.”

Alice found there were five to six people in her team.

Megan said, “They are designers hired by Mr. Nelson. He pays them a high salary. Some of them have

won prizes in design completions. Some have designed products. They are all very outstanding

designers.”

Alice scanned their profiles. Then she raised her eyes and said, “They are very excellent. Are they

willing to stay in my company?”

“They will come here because of the high salary.”

Alice was speechless.

Yanis also went through the document. She said, “If we pay them a high salary, we will operate it at a

loss.”

“Mr. Nelson trusts Miss Alice. She is an excellent designer and will have a presence in the domestic

fashion field. At that time, as long as you have attracted many customers, you will achieve great

success. Anyway, the beginning is always the most difficult part. It’s not easy to run a business.”

Yanis seemed to have understood her words. Then she held her face and looked at Megan adoringly.

Alice smiled faintly and said, “We’ll have a tough time.”
