Salute To The General

Chapter 195 The Southern Four

Chapter 195 The Southern Four

The truth was, Luther was not particularly competent in anything else other than his good leadership

skills. Most of the time, he would take advice from his subordinates such as Luke. And he would

usually agree with whatever Luke said.

This had led to a lot of people buttering up Luke in order to achieve their own agendas. Naturally, he

got a little bigheaded as time passed. While on the surface he was somewhat respectful toward Luther,

the reality was he looked down upon this man behind his back. As far as he was concerned, he was

the true master here and not Luther Ortis.

A furious roar blasted from his phone, catching him by surprise. "Luke Harper, how dare you!”

His fingers twitched and he nearly dropped his phone after hearing that familiar voice. A voice that was

filled to the brim with anger right now.

The smug look on his face froze before it was replaced with stark terror. In a quavering voice, he

stuttered, "Director

Ort is?"

Luther's face was twisted in anger as he snarled, "Only now you call me director?”

Luke gulped back his tears as he answered, "Please Director Ortis, I can explain. This is all that

bastard Cross' fault! He set me up!”

His subordinate's words only served to infuriate Luther more as he screamed, "Shut up! You were

negligent in your investigation which led to a significant mistake in the results. You were also abusing

your power when you doled out such severe punishment on Cross Corporation. Based on these

factors, I've decided to fire you and hand you over to the relevant authorities for investigation. Take this

as a warning to you!"

Luke's legs turned to jelly and he crashed to the floor on his knees. His eyes were filled with despair as

a mantra went through his head.

I am dead now.

At Sally's Seafood.

The Cross family had decided to enjoy some seafood at the most well-known seafood restaurant in

Channing in order to celebrate the company from successfully dodging yet another bullet,.

Leah insisted that they eat in the main dining area of the restaurant as she felt uncomfortable eating in

a private room.

After selecting a table for themselves, the family sat down and ordered a tableful of delicious seafood.

Unbeknownst to them, a man was glaring at them quietly from one of the private rooms at that moment.

Dressed in a white suit, it was none other than Jerry Zabinski.

Through the one-way glass of the room, Jerry glared at the happy family who was enjoying themselves.

He had not expected Cross and Smith to be able to resolve all the problems he had been throwing at

them without much effort.

His lips pulled into a sneer as he muttered to himself, "Huh. It looks like I have underestimated the two

of you. Then again, that's not a bad thing. Where's the fun if I let the two of you die so easily?"

Just then, a handsome man in a black Armani suit pushed open the door to the room and entered. Two

men followed along behind him. Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

Frowning, the man in the black suit spoke up, a note of annoyance in his voice, "Mr. Zabinski, why did

you choose such a lowly place to dine in?"

When Jerry saw the black-suited man, the broody look on his face disappeared. Instead, a smile

graced his lips as he replied, "Ah, you're finally here, Mr. Russo. Despite how shabby this place looks,

the food here is still quite acceptable.”

The man was Giovanni Russo of the Russo family, another member of the Southern Four.
