Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 205

Looking at the pillow in his hand, Jesse still felt a little repulsed at the thought that Nydia said there was her saliva on it. But he knew that this woman might not be telling the truth, so he slowly approached the pillow, very slowly, as if afraid of touching it.

However, there was no strange smell on the pillow, only the fragrance from her body, probably a mixture of various scents since she often hugged it. It wasn’t unpleasant, but became a unique smell.

But when he was about to sleep, he suddenly felt it was strange to hold his own portrait while sleeping and put it on another pillow.

He should have let her draw herself!

Lying on the spacious bed, he knew the sheets and duvet covers had been changed, but he still felt like he could smell it. It seemed to have been engraved in his sense of smell, easily wrapping up his thoughts.

Unable to sleep, Jesse decided to get up and go to the study to deal with things. Lying down was a waste of time.

When he came out, he met Nydia who was also coming out, and they both paused.

“Haven’t you slept yet?” they said in unison.

“I was thinking about something. I ran out of water, so I came out to refill it,” Nydia shook the glass water bottle in her hand.

“Okay,” Jesse didn’t say anything else.

“What about you?”

“I just remembered there’s something I need to take care of,” Jesse said.

But Nydia didn’t believe him. “Jesse, are you saying you couldn’t sleep and came out here?”

“How about I stay with you until you fall asleep?”This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

“No need!”

“Don’t be polite. We’re husband and wife, and I should help you with this little favor. Maybe if I come over to keep you company, you’ll fall asleep faster?”

“… If you come over, I’ll be even more awake!”

Nydia wouldn’t take no for an answer and pushed his wheelchair back to their room. When she saw her pillow, she jumped onto the bed and hugged it tightly. “I missed my pillow,” she said as she rubbed her face on it.

Her face ended up on the painting on the pillow, giving Jesse a weird feeling as if someone was rubbing his face.

“Come on, let’s go to bed,” Nydia called out to him.

“Half an hour test. If I’m not asleep by then, you can go back to your room,” he agreed.

“Okay,” Nydia replied. “But you can’t resist the urge to sleep. You need to relax, or else you’re cheating!”

Jesse didn’t respond. He felt that he wouldn’t be able to sleep with her around, so there was no need to cheat.

Once they lay down, Nydia quickly abandoned her pillow and hugged Jesse’s waist instead.

“Let go,” he said with a hint of annoyance.

“Why? You don’t want me to touch you anymore? Weren’t you so enthusiastic in the morning?” she teased, referring to their earlier intimate encounter.

Jesse became uneasy at the thought and turned his back to her. “Let’s just sleep,” he said.

Nydia smiled and moved closer, placing a hand on his waist before closing her eyes. It was already late, and she was tired. It didn’t take long for her to fall asleep.

Jesse, who had insisted that he wouldn’t fall asleep, also drifted off.

They were both awakened by Molly’s knocking on the door.

“Mommy and Daddy, lazy bums, it’s time to wake up!” Molly shouted.

Jesse opened his eyes, feeling disoriented. How did he fall asleep? And he slept through the whole night?

He looked over at Nydia, whose expression was blank, with traces of tears on her face.

“You…” But before he could finish, Nydia hugged him tightly and burst into tears, with a drop falling onto his neck.
