Chapter 26 A Fight
Chapter 26 A Fight
The day Alvin returned, it happened to be a family dinner.
He had spent so much time abroad, and now he suddenly returned home and embarrassed Antonio at
the family dinner.
Antonio had to be wary of him, so in the past few days he and his secretary Koby kept a firm eye on
Alvin's every move.
Also due to his scorn for his uncle, he basically rested at the company these days, even though he had
moved over to live with Clarissa.
Fortunately, although Alvin kept an eye on the Baron Group, but after all, he did not understand the
domestic market, plus he had no man in the company, so he did nothing, which made Antonio relieved.
Clarissa did not know that Antonio and his uncle were targeting each other in the business world. Since
she asked Antonio to her villa, Antonio hardly ever came back. Even if he came back, he had just taken
a shower and changed clothes, and he did not say more than ten words to her.
And that old lady had not come after she asked Antonio to move to the villa.
Did she silently let Antonio go back to that bitch?
This thought popped into Clarissa's head and she quickly confirmed that it must be so, otherwise why
didn't Antonio come back?
Even if he came, he didn't even stay for half an hour before he left.
"Hmph, bitch!"
Clarissa narrowed her eyes and cursed in a hateful voice.
Fortunately, only Clarissa was in the villa. Usually the hourly employee would come to clean, but all
come and go in a hurry, or they would think she was a mean person.
Clarissa soon arrived at Baron's house. And after Damla opened the door for her, she didn't inform
Adelaide but let her go upstairs to find Adelaide.
Perhaps some tacit agreement had formed between the two. Every time Clarissa came to Adelaide
alone, she would secretly slip money to Damla, who would also excuse herself to go out to buy food to
give them time alone.
This time, naturally, was no exception.
Damla smiled, took the money, untied the apron she was wearing and went out the door.
Adelaide was upstairs reading a book, and whenever she was engrossed in it, she could not always
hear the voices beside her.
These days Antonio went out to live with Clarissa, she said she was happy, but her heart was empty,
even the people who quarrel to find her own trouble were gone. She felt bored.
She had to read books and pretend nothing was going on.
"Adelaide!"
Clarissa's strong voice reached her ears and she unconsciously frowned. Antonio had already moved
in with her, why did she come here specifically to be angry with herself?
Despite her dissatisfaction, Adelaide still stood up good-naturedly.
"What is it?"
She asked.
At that, Clarissa snorted like she had heard a joke and said, "What is it? Adelaide, why are you so
shameless?"
Adelaide also laughed. In terms of shamelessness, she was really no match for this sister.
"You are here specifically to scold me? Actually, it can be fixed on the phone, you know I don't want to
see your face."
Clarissa was wearing a tight black dress today, a pair of red high heels, carrying a cross body bag, of
which the strap split her breasts on either side. She pointed at Adelaide and cursed,
"There's no point in you occupying Antonio. Don't you understand what Grandma meant by giving me
the villa? Adelaide, if I were you I'd hurry up and get a divorce."
"I know, it's for the sake of Antonio’s child in your belly!"
Adelaide swept her eyes around her stomach and kindly warned.
"By the way, Clarissa, you can live in that villa because of your belly. Look at you, tight skirt and
crossbody bag, they are bad for the baby. In case the bag accidentally knocked the child off, you will
get nothing."
This sounded particularly harsh to Clarissa's ears, and she shivered. In order not to let Adelaide see
that she was weak-minded, her eyes were as widened as eggs. She pointed at Adelaide and cursed.
"Adelaide, you bitch. Don't curse me, I will definitely give birth to Antonio's child."
"That's right, then go back to take care of you belly!"
Adelaide said in a cold voice as she picked up the book on the sofa to remind Clarissa that she had to
read a book and Clarissa could fuck off now.
But she was here to cause trouble.
"You think I want to come? The person that Antonio likes is me, it's me. Even if you have the old lady to
back you up and ask Antonio back, his heart won't belong to you."
After a pause, Clarissa's eyes showed a fierce look.
"Adelaide, as soon as the old lady is dead, Antonio will kick you out."
Adelaide once again put down the book in her hand, "Clarissa, even if I'm at fault, why are you insulting
Grandma?"
"Grandma? That old thing, if it weren't for her, do you think you'd still have the right to stand here and
talk to me?" NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
Clarissa took two steps forward, obviously more emotional at the mention of the old lady.
"Get out, get the hell out!"
Adelaide finally couldn't resist pointing her index finger at the door and glaring at her.
"How dare you be mean to me?"
Clarissa was about to hit Adelaide, but she heard the door open.
"Bitch, it is great your mother died. That bitch stole the man from my mother."
Clarissa's reaction was extremely fast. When she heard the sound of the door opening, she knew it
was Antonio returning, striding up to Adelaide and whispering in her ear.
Her mother was Adelaide's lifeline, and Clarissa would always make Adelaide explode every time she
brought it up, so last time she hit Clarissa, so did this time.
Adelaide yelled out like a madman and subconsciously pushed Clarissa hard.
"Ah! Sister, I was wrong!"
As Antonio had just set foot on the stairs, he saw Clarissa collapsed in the doorway, crying while
begging for mercy from Adelaide.
He was still confused, but Adelaide came out and slapped at Clarissa's face!
Seeing this, Antonio quickly rushed over and pulled Adelaide to a halt. He chided.
"What are you doing! She's a pregnant woman!"
He was so busy these days. At the thought that he moved to live with Clarissa might hurt Adelaide, he
took the time to come back to see Adelaide.
Little did he know that this was what he would to see.
Adelaide was pulled aside by him and slowly regained her composure. He saw her hitting Clarissa.
Normally he would unconditionally believe Clarissa even if he didn't see it, and her explaination was in
vain, so why waste her breath?
Adelaide sneered,
"See with your eyes. Is it against the law to teach my sister?"
Adelaide's dark eyes met Antonio's stormy expression. She was stubborn, but she made Antonio
unable to make a move on her.
He said coldly.
"Poisonous woman!"
After saying that, he left without looking back and hugged Clarissa who was crying into tears.
Antonio took her back to the villa. Thinking of Adelaide's expression, he considered she must have
been so angry that she did it, so she didn't believe him nor explained to him anymore?
Antonio couldn't tell the difference. He looked at Clarissa and warned,
"Don't go to Adelaide again!"
The quiet villa rang with the sound of footsteps. The woman in bed with her clothes scattered rubbed
her sleepy eyes and reached for the owner of the footsteps,
"Antonio, are you going to the office so early?"
The woman's voice seemed pitiful. The happy times she had begged for were always so short.
Antonio's large palm covered the back of her hand, patting it twice before pulling it out,
"Clarissa, the company has been busy lately."
Clarissa pouted and looked at Antonio with dissatisfaction. Then the man said, "Be good, I'll try to finish
up with the business early then come back to keep you company."
Hearing that she was better and climbed up to kiss on his cheek, flirting with him in a flirtatious manner,
"Okay, Antonio, I'll wait for you at home then."
He nodded, feeling the lingering warmth that still lingered on his cheek!
As the saying goes, A child who cries gets milk, and a woman in coquetry gets the best!
Adelaide would only pretend to be strong.
Thinking about the woman at home, he unconsciously thought about leaving like that with Clarissa
yesterday, would she be sad?
Antonio shook his head to shake off all the thoughts about Adelaide in his head.
He left, but Clarissa's peaceful sleep did not last long. The ear-piercing ringing sounded one after
another, Clarissa rolled over, but it was still ringing. She impatiently picked up the phone. Before she
could speak, the voice rang out.
"Clarissa, when are you going to give me back my stuff!"
