Chapter 1 Night of Surprise
Chapter 1 Night of Surprise
Deep at night, in a certain presidential suite.
Blanca Roach was sprawled on a soft bed, her head spinning.
She didn’t think the alcohol was this strong.
“I’ll ask you one more time. Where did you get this jade pendant?” The man stood at the bedside,
looking down at her from on high.
Blanca’s eyes opened slightly, looking at the man before her. She didn’t know if it was the alcohol
talking, but he was just too handsome.
With chiseled features, a deep gaze, and a cool face like it wanted for nothing, this was the most
handsome man she’d ever seen in her life.
Since she was about to die, Blanca felt that it was worth living for twenty years now that she could
experience this sort of pleasure before her death.
She stood up, hugged the man’s waist, and smiled faintly at him. “You want to know how I got that
pendant? Then you’ll have to please me first…”
The man’s face showed clear impatience as he pushed her off, frowning.
Blanca, though, grabbed him by his necktie and pulled forcefully, and both of them collapsed onto the
bed.
She circled her arms passionately around his neck and brought her mouth onto the man’s slightly cold
lips.
Discontent with fate, she shyly but passionately kissed the man before her…
It was the hottest night in their life ever...

Waking up the next morning, her body ached so bad, and her head was pounding.
Sitting up and looking around, she saw single-use slippers and a large double bed. It was a hotel all
right.
She took off her covers and looked over herself. Completely naked…
Blanca covered her face and sighed. She was one “lucky” gal indeed.
Half a month ago, she’d been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, and only had a month to live.
She’d come all the way to Oakshire in search of her birth parents, whom she’d never met.
She just wanted to see them again before she died, but she’d searched for several days and turned up
with nothing.
Her mood had been rotten last night, and she’d gone in that bar to drink her sorrows away, but some
perverted guy had tried to get her drunk.
She’d found the man too ugly, then stumbled into the arms of a certain glacier-like man, who’d then
brought her to the hotel…
As for what happened afterwards, Blanca didn’t remember. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
So as far as what the man looked like, what it felt like, and if they really… did it, she didn’t know.
Blanca sighed, depressed, then looked at her purse. How could she have forgotten!
She always carried a miniature camera with her in the purse, both to record her journey in seeking her
parents, and to prevent any accidents in this period.
There was of course a risk in seeking her relatives alone, and she was always cautious, leaving a back
route for herself in all things.
The camera was connected to her phone app. If she opened it, she’d know what the man looked like…
But Blanca shook her head and let it rest. Not now. If he was some greasy bastard, she’d just feel
worse…
Blanca walked into the bathroom, planning on showering and then leaving.
She stood before the bathroom mirror, looking at herself in the mirror. Then her eyes widened.
The pendant on her neck was gone!
She panicked, rushed back into the bedroom, and searched up and down the bedside.
Nothing.
Blanca’s nerves were thoroughly rattled. The pendant was the only thing her birth parents had left her;
she couldn’t lose it!
At that moment, the phone rang. It was a text.
“I have the pendant. If you want it, come to the Empire Group Building.”
