Chapter 1399 Protection

The turtle hated the Evil Deity to the core.

However, the Evil Deity was much stronger than him. Back when the turtle was at his peak, he tried to

use the great hall's power to defeat the Evil Deity. However, he had failed.

Fortunately, the Evil Deity's actions were limited in this hall. To prevent the inheritance from being

destroyed by someone like the Evil Deity, the great hall's former owner had left behind a mighty law—

the Sin Law. It restricted strong warriors from forcefully breaking into the inheritance space.

For many years, the Evil Deity had been unable to enter the inheritance space and gain control of the

ancient relic.

"Why are you here today?" the turtle asked through Jeremy.

"To kill some human ants, of course." The Evil Deity glanced at Darren and the others.

He had dreamed of getting into the inheritance space and controlling the relic for so many years. But,

each time he tried, he failed. How could he accept the fact that these human ants had gained the

qualification for entering the inheritance space so easily? What if one of these humans got the

inheritance? Then he would be doomed!

Unwilling to allow that, the Evil Deity intended to kill Darren and the others.

A chill snaked down everyone's spine when they heard his candid response. The atmosphere became

tense, and everyone became vigilant.

They knew that the Evil Deity, who was in the Archean relic, would be more powerful than them. He

had even defeated Alfredo's wife!

"If he wants to kill us, I'm afraid he can do it with a wave of his hand." Eallard frowned.

"How dare you? You're only a soul. Leave the hall right now. You are not welcome here!"

The twelve beasts, who were the guardians of this hall, would never allow the Evil Deity to set foot in

here at will.

Besides, now that someone had the opportunity to enter the inheritance space, it was their duty to

protect the candidates.

The Evil Deity raised his head and flicked his slender fingers forward.

The hall trembled, and a stream of god's power of Archean Age shot out.

"Roar!"

A fierce black-scaled beast suddenly roared, and extended its massive claws as it rushed toward the

Evil Deity.

The beast was thrown back with such intensity that it slammed into the wall with a single move.

It was known to all that each of these twelve beasts' real fighting power was only a fraction lower than

that of the golden dragon.

The ability to send a fierce beast flying with a flick of his finger was a testament to the Evil Deity's

power.

"Guys, let's fight together to protect the candidates for the inheritance!" the black cat shouted.

The twelve beasts lined up, ready to battle.

"Brothers, we are not a match for this guy, not even with our boss's help. But, we need to buy some

time to transfer the candidates to the inheritance area!" The black cat secretly sent a message to the

other fierce beasts with his spiritual sense.

"You are very smart!"

"Just as I thought. We're distracting the Evil Deity with attacks long enough to send the candidates

away."

"I agree!"

The twelve beasts discussed among themselves.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

Decided on a course of action, they unleashed their full attacking force on the Evil Deity in unison.

At the same time, the power to open the inheritance space began to gather.

The twelve beasts bombarded the Evil Deity fiercely, but he didn't fight back. Instead, he released his

god's power to shield himself.

After the intense attacks subsided, the twelve beasts observed that they hadn't even broken through

the Evil Deity's defense.

Before they could strike again, the Evil Deity turned and waved in Darren and the others' direction.

Boom! Boom!

God's power of the Archean Age hurtled toward Darren and his companions.

"Damn it! This guy is so cunning. He must have anticipated this."

The Evil Deity didn't give the twelve beasts a chance to teleport Darren and the others.

Darren and his companions were shocked when they saw the incoming attack. A sense of dread filled

them as they knew that they couldn't avoid it.

Death was an instant away.

The turtle moved.

In a flash, he stood before Darren and his friends. He pushed forward with his claws, and a significantly

intense force comprising of Archean thunder and lightning condensed into a ball of light and rushed

out.

Bang!

When the two forces met, the shock waves produced were enough to kill some ordinary warriors at the

Superior God Realm instantly!

The aftermath dispersed the god's power of the turtle. However, he remained unfazed. Quickly and

deftly, he threw out several light balls in succession to resist the Evil Deity's attack.

"Let's help our boss!"

The black cat seized the opportunity to launch several powerful attacks.

Now that the Evil Deity was sufficiently distracted, the twelve beasts could surround him.

"Hurry up and condense the transmission star array!"

Streaks of light streamed from the chests of the twelve beasts and headed for Darren and the others.

The twelve rays of light intertwined and converged into a hexagram transmission door, covering Darren

and the others.

"Ah!"

Fury surged within the Evil Deity when he realized that these low-level beasts were going to send the

human ants away.

The Evil Deity waved his hand and repelled the twelve beasts with one move.

By this time, the turtle had flown to the Evil Deity's side.

He waved his claws and threw punches at him in one breath.

The twelve beasts were stunned when they saw the turtle's hand movements.

He was ten feet from the Evil Deity and throwing random punches in the air! What kind of skill was this?

"Boss, you didn't hit the Evil Deity."

"Boss, you have bad eyesight. Poor you."

The turtle glared at the black cat and the other beasts. He then turned and made a sweeping

movement with his leg.

The Evil Deity's body flew back several dozen feet! The turtle had injured the Evil Deity, as seen from

the several bleeding palm marks on his body.

"Shut up. You speak nonsense just because you didn't understand. You don't know how powerful my

divine fists are," the turtle said through Jeremy.

"Wow, it is indeed powerful!"

The twelve beasts became excited when they saw that the Evil Deity was forced to retreat and he

suffered several injuries. Their leader was mighty.

By now, the transmission star array had condensed, and Darren and the others were pulled inside by a

space force.

"Ah!"

The Evil Deity was enraged when he noticed that Darren and the others were about to be teleported.

In an instant, he released a hundred thousand palm shadows condensed by the god's power of

Archean Age and directed them to bombard the humans.

At the same time, the Evil Deity rushed toward Darren and the others.

"Stop him!"

The twelve fierce beasts re-launched attacks, biting the Evil Deity's legs, shoulders, and arms.

However, this didn't stop him. He threw dozens of punches instantly, and the bodies of the twelve fierce

beasts were smashed!

Meanwhile, the turtle charged at the palm shadows, which were about to hit Darren and his

companions. In the span of a breath, his turtle shell enlarged infinitely to block the incoming attacks.

The explosion was devastating. Several web-like cracks appeared on the turtle shell, and then it

crumbled!

The residual god's power wounded the turtle, and he fell to the floor, bleeding.

"You're doomed now!" the black cat cackled at the Evil Deity.

The black cat's body had been destroyed in the earlier attack. As only his head was left intact, the

statement was eerier coming from the black cat.

"How dare you endanger our lives? Accept the punishment of our great master!"

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Endless black divine thunder shot out from every corner of the hall and interwove into a net of thunder

and lightning that descended on the Evil Deity.

"Roar! Roar! Roar!"

The Evil Deity trembled and struggled as he tried to free himself from the net.

"How dare you fatally injure us despite knowing that you would be punished if you killed us? Crazy!" the

black cat said proudly, just before his eyes turned gray.

If the hall's guardians were critically wounded by powerful warriors who entered the hall, it would trigger

the Sin Law of the hall. The intruder would then receive severe punishment.
