Chapter 1355 The Relic

They continued to wait right at the given location. After two weeks, there was still no news.

The geniuses who had come to the place were no longer as anxious as they used to be. Because there

were many unfamiliar faces around, there were a lot of opportunities to make new friends. It didn't take

However, Darren and his companions didn't make any efforts to befriend any of the other talents. Only

"Darren, I think those people seem to be looking down on you, huh?" said Sally with a chuckle.

"Don't talk nonsense. Maybe it's just a greeting or something. They're not necessarily looking down on

him," said Beatty in a stern tone, as if she was lecturing Sally.

"I'm not making this stuff up! Look at that guy just now. When he saw Darren's cultivation stage, he

turned around and left without any hesitation. He went and talked with someone else in a more cheerful

tone," said Sally, pointing at a young man who had just come to speak with Darren.

Hearing that, Darren simply smiled.

He didn't need to rely on anyone on his path of cultivation. It didn't matter at all to him if anyone looked

down upon him. These people were not worth making friends with in the first place.

Based on his experience in the past few days, he could see that these two girls were actually nice,

since they didn't show any aversion after they found out that Darren was at the Star God Realm.

"Ladies, you don't seem to know just how powerful Darren actually is!" Weber puffed out his chest in an

attempt to make the two girls notice him, but they couldn't care less, and continued ignoring him.

Fortunately, Weber was very thick-skinned and kept finding topics to try and reel in the two girls.

"Weber, you shameless punk. I recall you were scared to tears once you got a look at the beast at the

Celestial God Realm. In the end, you were even beaten bloody and could barely speak coherently,"

said Lindsay, with a light glance at Weber.

Despite the harsh exposition, Weber's expression didn't change a bit. "Lindsay, of course what you saw

was just surface-level. Anyone without strength at the Celestial God Realm could not see into what was

actually going on,"

said Weber calmly.

Lindsay's and Finley's faces soured at Weber's boastful words. He was truly a shameless man!

"Weber, are you telling the truth?" asked Sally. She could tell that Weber was bluffing about his

heroism, but what about the part about Darren?

Could a man at the middle-level of the Star God Realm really be able to kill a beast at the Celestial God

Realm? Both Sally and Beatty looked on in disbelief.

"I really don't have that many shortcomings, but honesty is really one of them that I can't ever correct.

animals, having a big heart for others, and facing danger head-on when I want to protect others."

Even Sally had Weber all figured out at this point.

"Darren, did you really kill a beast at the Celestial God Realm?" Sally turned her attention to Darren

since she couldn't stand taking another look at Weber.

"Yes. I got lucky, honestly. There was a special divine weapon to help me that time." Darren told them

the truth since Weber's bragging was getting annoying.

Darren and the others looked up to see a young man in cyan talking to them.

"Donnie Xu, you're being an annoying creeper. We weren't even talking to you. What're you doing

here? Excuse me?" Among the two disciples of Lord Starry Sword, Beatty's face turned to one of

annoyance. Meanwhile, Sally rolled her eyes and looked away from the young man's direction.

"Hey, what's with the attitude? We used to cultivate in the same sect, ladies! How could you not

recognize your senior fellow apprentice?" The young man showed no intention of leaving.

"Who is this guy?" whispered Weber to Sally.

"He's a pathetic shadow," said Sally, very loudly on purpose.

Initially, Sally and Beatty had once been respectful to this senior fellow disciple. After all, when they

were still in training, Donnie Xu had already been famous in their previous sect.

Later, he had actually gotten to know Sally and courted her for a few years. When she was finally about

to say yes, she learned that he was also chasing after Beatty. They both had no idea until they'd gotten

to know each other.

Sally and Beatty joined forces and after some snooping, they found out that Donnie Xu was actually a

delinquent. He wouldn't let any new female junior disciples out of his sight. His style was courting them

first, and if he was refused, he'd use three means to achieve his nasty goals. He'd drug them, lie, or

even force them by using his identity as their senior. He was truly the worst kind of person out there.

If it weren't for the fact that Sally and Beatty had been chosen and taken away by Lord Starry Sword at

around this time, they wouldn't have been able to escape the disaster and might have been harmed by

him by those dirty means.

"You two seem to have a deep prejudice against me. Why don't you pass by my place so I can explain

He felt his face turn hot with embarrassment.

"Just you wait and see, you two! Any ordinary woman ruins her life when she marries the wrong man.

dead!" After saying these words, Donnie Xu turned around with a huff and left.

"Darren, as long as you allow it, I'll kill that bastard right away!" offered Weber, jumping up in anger.

God Realm. Besides, he is now a disciple of the leader of the Blood Cloud Region. We can just ignore

him," said Sally.

Donnie Xu was the last disciple of the leader of the Blood Cloud Region, and thus the leader was quite

attached to him.

When Weber heard that Donnie Xu was at the low-level of the Celestial God Realm, he began to regret

offering to fight him. But of course he would rather die than admit it. Pretending to be unfazed, he

with news.

The noise of the crowd quickly hushed down. He finally appeared again after two weeks. This time he

should have big news with him, right?

"The Archean relic has been opened. Please prepare yourselves," the old man said in a very serious

tone.
