Never Blinded by Love (Linda and Wilson)

Never 239

Upon reflection, Linda realized that her hatred was minimal.

Many said love would turn into hate, yet she didn't feel much animosity toward William. Was it because her love hadn't been deep enough? Linda believed it was. Hadn't she endured enough to prove that? Her thoughts were interrupted by William's arrival.

Seeing only Linda and Samson at the table, he asked, "Is Lexi still asleep?"

Samson handed Linda a cup of milk. "Have a few sips."

Linda complied, drinking a couple of sips before setting the cup down.

Samson then said, "Lexi got her clothes dirty while eating earlier, so she went upstairs to change with Zoey. She'll be down soon."

William nodded.

"Have Zoey switch to a different brand of milk tomorrow. This one has a bit of a sour taste that I don't quite like," Linda wrinkled her nose as she said, and Samson took a sip from the cup.

"It does taste off," he agreed. "But Lexi finished her cup. It might just be a matter of taste for us adults."

Linda said it might be.

Despite having prepared himself emotionally, William still felt uncomfortable witnessing their casual interaction. Later, Lexi came downstairs in a new dress. When she spotted William, she rushed over to him with joy.

"Did you miss me, Lexi?"

Lexi counted on her fingers. "First I miss Mommy, then Daddy, then Grandpa and Grandma, then Zoey, and only after all that do I miss you."

Children were always straightforward about these things. Their world was pure and simple. Linda remained her most beloved person.Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.

Linda and Samson exchanged smiles. "Looks like our love wasn't in vain."

William, hearing this, wasn't too upset. After all, he was essentially an outsider compared to Lexi's immediate family and the nanny who had always been with her at home. "Are there cameras coming to film today?" William asked Linda while holding Lexi.

"I heard from Jessie that there will be, but they're probably coming around lunchtime," Linda replied. She was quite busy and left these details to her assistants.

Given Linda's understanding of Jessie, the time wouldn't be too early since Jessie herself was not an early riser.

"If you have work to do, you can go ahead," Linda said.

Typically, filming schedules were set, but when it came to collecting material like now, most directors worked based on intuition and might even make sudden decisions. "It's fine. I don't have much to do today," William replied softly.

He was eager to spend more time with Linda and Lexi, though he couldn't quite pinpoint why. But a voice inside him urged him to stay.

Since William was insistent, Linda and Samson couldn't bring themselves to ask him to leave.

Linda had the day off, and since Samson needed to head to a construction site in the afternoon, he decided to work from home in the morning for convenience.

With both of them at home with Lexi, William felt somewhat extra.

At one point, Samson said, "Linda, I'm going upstairs to take a call. If you need anything, just have Zoey come and get me."

Linda and Lexi were playing with building blocks that were from a different series of the same brand. After Lexi mentioned she liked them, William had bought the entire series for

her.

"It's okay. Go handle your work."
