Linda was treating him like a business partner.

William was currently in the apartment they shared after marriage

"If that's all, I'll be going now. After all, it's the New Year. I have quite a lot of things to do," Linda replied.

Mommy, Daddy's been running around with me for a long time now. Why are you still on the phone? Do you still love me?"

Her pout was enough to make a grown man cry.

Linda thought it was time for William to know she had a daughter.

When William heard a little girl calling Linda "Mommy," he almost dropped his phone from shock.

"As you just heard, Mr. Wilson, I don't have time to chat. My daughter wants to spend time with me. Happy New Year, Mr. Wilson. I wish your an amazing year."

After that, Linda hung up and walked toward Samson while holding

Lexi's hand.

Back in their apartment, William felt like his heart had stopped from

shock.

Linda had a daughter.

There was no longer a chance for anything to happen between them.

He could deny it based on the pictures alone. After all, he could have convinced himself that it was someone else's child or perhaps she was babysitting someone else's child.

It was the first time he heard Linda admit to having a child.

He suddenly thought of the child they once had.

If he had believed Linda back then, perhaps that child could have lived.

If he had come to his senses earlier, things wouldn't have gotten so bad between him and Linda.

However, there was no such thing as turning back time.
