Silence engulfed the dining area as they stared at each other in shock, Nicholas was the first to come out of it.

Allison laughed out loud as if Amelia just dropped a joke “what do you mean by that? everyone here knows that I’m Liam’s future wife”.

Angie rushed into Nicholas room a vase flew right in her direction grazing her arm “honey!” she held Nicholas from destroying his room further. “get hold of yourself son!”.

Nicholas heaved a breathe pulling his hair tightly “seriously mum? why? why should I have to fight Liam for everything that I want? Why do we share the same interest in everything”.

“Nick? do you know that lady?” Angie asked.

“of course mum! she is the lady I’ve been searching for all these days! do I really have to fight with him over a woman now? mum Liam has gone too far this time”.

Nicholas went out of the room in anger “Nicholas!” she called after.

Amelia followed the path Liam went through, she came out of the building to see him sitting beside the swimming pool.

She walked to his side taking a seat beside him, she watched his side profile for a while, his hair was swaying due to the wind.

She looked ahead “you could have prepped me about your family and your issues with them” Amelia said looking at Liam.

Liam remained quiet, she reached out her hand and held his arm that was resting on the wooden chair. Liam tried to retract his arm “let’s not start this now” Amelia reasoned.

Liam gave up the idea and relaxed “I know we are not an ideal couple but there are some certain things you have to tell me”.

Liam stood up abruptly walking along the edge of the big pool. “why are you suddenly interested in knowing about me?”.

“don’t you know? that lady in there was saying bad things about you!”.

Amelia walked to him and pulled him forward “stop hiding things from me”.

“I’m so sorry” Amelia apologized before entering the building.

“you are a complete fool, if you really liked her you wouldn’t have sent her to my bed that night the deed is done now she is my wife and there’s nothing you can do to change that”.

Nicholas jaw clenched at Liam’s words, of course he knew he was wrong he shouldn’t have let the lady he liked go to his biggest competitor he was so blinded by greed to see that.
