Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 39

Chapter 39

Yoel immediately went to get the car. After reading Thomas‘ message, he drove toward the hotel. On the way, he could not resist asking Joshua what had happened earlier.

“Mr. Neal, may I ask a question?” he said.

“If you don’t think you should, don’t ask,” Joshua snapped back.

Feeling brave and curious, Yoel continued, “Do you consider it as cheating on yourself when

you

let Thomas bring Mrs. Neal to your bed? What kind of feelings do you have when you treat Mrs. Neal in this way?”

Joshua replied coldly, “You can forget about your year–end bonus.”

Yoel realized he had overstepped his bounds and tried to make amends, “Don’t worry, Mr.

Neal. I’ll make sure to take care of the Sky Holdings side and let them know who’s protecting Mrs. Neal.” This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.

Joshua replied, “Your quarterly bonus is gone too.”

Yoel did not know what he had done wrong. “Mr. Neal…”

“Cynthia and I are divorced.” Joshua’s tone was icy as he held his phone. “I’m only dealing with Thomas because I don’t like it when someone taints my integrity.”

Yoel was speechless. Joshua had already divorced Cynthia for Jayleen, so why would he care about his reputation?

“Yes, you’re right.”

“You’re not getting your mid–year bonus either,” Joshua added.

Despite Yoel’s good nature, his sanity was beginning to crumble.

What did he say wrong again?

Yoel said as he drove, trying to come up with a response, “I think something is missing from what you said earlier. Although Mrs. Neal has already divorced you, as long as you haven’t received the divorce certificate, you’re both still under legal protection. As long as you’re still under legal protection, you have an obligation to help Mrs. Neal deal with scumbags.”

“She did this to herself.” Joshua thought of the previous incident and became angry. “She even urged Thomas to take her to the hotel quickly.”

“That’s because Mrs. Neal knew that the person she would spend the day with after checking in was you,” Yoel replied.

“She doesn’t like me.”

Yoel remained quiet as he had no way to respond to that.

Joshua knew Cynthia did not like him, yet he still chose to embarrass her in front of so many people.

He deserved to be divorced!

Joshua looked at the back of Yoel’s head with a terrifying gaze.

“Mr. Neal, what do you think?”

Joshua scanned the group before standing up.

“As for the specifics of the collaboration, I’ll have Mr. Harrison follow up with you. However, the ultimate decision on whether we can work together will depend on the project itself.”

With that, Joshua left the private dining room.

Yoel greeted him politely.

“Where’s Cynthia?” Joshua felt a heavy weight in his chest.

Yoel replied, “We’ve sent people to follow them. If Mrs. Neal is in danger, they’ll save her.”

Yoel knew Joshua like the back of his hand and knew what to do before being ordered.

Even though he felt relieved, Joshua’s response was cold. “Mind your own business!”

Yoel maintained his smile. It was hard to guess Joshua’s true feelings.

“Make arrangements with Sky Holdings. Trash belongs in the trash can, not the dinner table,” Joshua adjusted his tie and spoke in a hoarse voice.

Yoel quickly understood Joshua’s intent and replied, “Got it.”

Sky Holdings was a company under Thomas’s control, and Joshua was taking revenge on behalf of Cynthia.

“Go to the hotel,” Joshua said solemnly.
