Master of his heart (Brielle and Max)

Chapter 906

Dustin wanted to ask Brielle how she was feeling and what her plans were for the baby, but he sensed that she wasn't in the mood to talk about it.

Staring into the flickering flames in front of him, Dustin took a long moment before lifting his hand to rub his brow. Then, he gave instructions to the bodyguards around him. "Keep searching. Check every place he's ever been. And swap out the guys I sent to Beaconsfield." The people he'd sent to Beaconsfield had all been vetted by Dummy, which meant they were likely compromised. As much as he hated to admit it, Dustin had truly trusted him and never suspected the man could betray him or have a double life.

Returning to his villa, Dustin found Raymond already there, quietly sipping tea. "Dad," he called out, noticing Raymond only slightly lifting his head in acknowledgment.

"You're barely over your illness and you're already stirring up trouble. Haven't you thought that you might end up in a bind?" Dustin took a seat, his expression somewhat grim.

"I had you look into Wall Street, Max's assets. What's the scoop?"

"Why are you digging into him?" The Lynch family's interests were overseas, and the Dorsey family's were domestic; the two clans had no business dealings. But since it was his son's request, Raymond hadn't refused. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

"It's all sorted. Remember when Dorsey International made that deal with Alpha? Alpha, the world's largest retail enterprise, shifted its focus to the cutting-edge technology of automated stores after teaming up with Dorsey International."

"On the surface, it looked like a collaboration between Alpha and Dorsey International, but they were only after Dorsey International's tech. The bigger player in the partnership was Dream Tech Designs. You're familiar with them, right? During Max's time on Wall Street, they acquired a struggling toy factory and rapidly rose to prominence. Later, they dominated the globe with their electric vehicle innovations in just two years. Then they moved onto artificial intelligence, aligning perfectly with Dorsey International's tech. Post-collaboration with Alpha, the real heavy hitter was DreamTech Designs. The CEO of this company is quite the enigma, never seen in any public interviews, and the listed legal representative is heavily concealed-it's Max."

Dustin, having been around North

America, was no stranger to Dream Tech Designs. He had thought that Max's Wall Street assets were at best a publicly traded company, not the vanguard of Al and

electric vehicle techno

one knew how much DreamTech Designs was raking in each year, as the behind-the-scenes CEO was incredibly discreet, and much of the information remained private. If Max was CEO of DreamTech Designs, then he truly wouldn't care about a position with Dorsey International.

"Dad, did you find out anything else?" After taking a sip of tea, Raymond spoke calmly, "Why do you care? Even if he's the CEO of DreamTech Designs, it doesn't clash with our interests."

"It's just... he's a bit of an enigma." After voicing this, Dustin looked away. "Back when he was on Wall Street, he didn't rely on the Dorsey family name at all. Given the revelations that he's not a blood Dorsey, I'm wondering about his real identity." Considering even Brielle was in the dark, Dustin speculated whether Max's true identity could impact her. If that were the case, Dustin would never allow the two of them to be together. "Dad, in fact, I found "

Before he could finish, Raymond's phone rang. Glancing at the caller, Raymond's brow furrowed slightly before he answered. Dustin couldn't hear the conversation but noticed Raymond's expression turn grave. After hanging up, Raymond placed his phone on the coffee table.

"DreamTech Designs suddenly announced they're acquiring several companies in the Beaconsfield area, bypassing the ones related to Infinity Brilliance. They're moving fast but deliberately avoiding our interests. Have you and Max reached a private agreement?"

Recalling that Max had gotten Brielle

pregnant made Dustin seethe. His sister, whom he adored and felt a kinship with even before knowing

their relation, seemed even more et

perfect to him now. No one, believed, was worthy of

her especially not a man who had left her with child and concealed other identities. A man of deep schemes and machinations.

"Yeah, right. What kind of deal could I have with him? Max is no good, toying with people's hearts."

Raymond was about to take a sip of tea when he heard this. His brows knit together slightly, and Brielle's face came to mind. Hadn't he seen the two shopping for rings not long ago? And now Max was accused of playing with a girl's emotions? He sighed, "I never would have pegged Mr. Dorsey as that type."
